A godsend! This dry shampoo is one of my faves, since my scalp is pretty sensitive. You all know the drill - use it to freshen up between washes, yadda, yadda, yadda - but it's also great to use as a root volumiser on clean hair. Often when I'm going for a more tousled look, I spray it on and shake it out to give my roots some lift. Because I have dark brown hair I need to shake it out extra well, to avoid that grey, powdery look most regular dry shampoos leave, but this just ends up giving me more volume! If the residue issue is annoying for you, look for brands designed for brunettes, or take a make-up brush to some brown eyeshadow and dust over the front area of your hair for some camouflage! Also, don't use it once you're already in your sexy black dress!

This is another of my favourite hair products. From what I gather, it's ideal for texturising shorter hair styles - the promo video shows it being used on models with short, straight hair. But I have mid-length curly hair and find this works a treat in defining my curls, which have a tendency to frizz and leave me looking more Grug than glamour! I seperate my hair in half, straight down the back, and use a scoop about the size of a 20 cent piece on each half. I find you don't need to 'shape' your curls - I basically just rub my palms together and then run my hands through my damp hair and let it dry naturally. If I'm running low on product, I style my hair with a sparing amount of other product and then use a tiny bit of this texturising creme around the front areas My only gripe is that you can't buy this in a larger size pot, as I go through it rather quickly. It can be an expensive product to keep buying...

This is one of my hair staples. I have very curly, frizzy hair, and whenever I want to wear it in a pony or with bits pulled to the side, the boofy fly-away factor is huge! If you're like me, a tiny swipe of this pomade is all you need to slick everything down nicely. It goes on a bit greasy and wet-looking, but is absorbed and dries pretty quickly - without the 'crunch' factor most gels seem to have - leaving your hair smooth, soft and staying in place. At first I was wary of trying a $50 product (before discovering this I was making do with $5 pots of gel or cans of mousse), but considering you only need to use a tiny amount (about the size of half the pad of your finger), it's well worth the investment! To make it last even further, use it to smooth down the top of your hair in a 'half up, half down' style or one with bits pulled back on the first day of use. Your hair will then stay smooth and straight on top for a ponytail or other up-do on day two!
