First of all, I really like the fact that this exfoliator can be used wet or dry and it's just as effective whichever way you choose to use it. Used in conjunction with the other pediPRO products (the remover and the file) this is the one that you can use more regularly to keep the dry skin from building up. If I think the skin on my heels is looking a bit dry again then I only need to give them a relatively gentle buff with this exfoliator and the skin feels back to normal again. Despite looking quite rough, it actually feels pretty spongy . It seems so much more effective and gentle to use on my feet than a pumice stone does. It exfoliates but has that give in the sponge meaning that even if I press a bit too firmly, I can't do too much damage to my feet! I would absolutely recommend this to everyone.

Like the pediPRO callus remover, I actually found this a bit scary when I first unpackaged it. It's quite large (about the size of my heel) and the two sides of mutlidirectional grit seemed especially deadly. But once I stopped being silly and gave it a go, I was so pleased. I started using the coarse side and then switched to the fine side when I felt that I'd gotten enough of the really hard, dry skin off. That process actually only took a couple of minutes. I also used the finer side of the file on the harder skin on the balls of my feet. After just a few minutes my feet looked and felt great. Unlike other pedi tools, these ones didn't cut my skins to shreds or make them feel a little bit sore after I'd pressed too hard. My feet were good to go. My husband had been watching me and was impressed enough to ask if he could have a go. Although this is advertised as a pedi product, it removed the calluses on his hands just as well :) I'd definitely recommend this file.

Whenever I've had a pedicure I always find myself cringing and trying to pull my foot away whenever they whip out the callus removers! I had the same reaction when I first saw this. The micro blades just looked straight up scary! However, nothing ventured, nothing gained. So I gathered up my courage and started by very gently filing at a callus on my toe. To my relief, no blood spurted everywhere and I realised I could actually press a bit more firmly ,,, and then a bit more. Within a minute the callus was gone and only nice, smooth skin remained. With this success I also tried the rough skin on my heels. Same fantastic result! The best thing about this though is the plastic protective cover. Obviously it's there to protect the blades from being damaged or doing damage but, whilst you're using the file, attach the cover to the underside of the file and it becomes a magic catcher for all the dead skin being removed. The no-mess aspect of this is brilliant and worth the price alone!

I have to admit that I'd never heard of Minenssey before so I was intrigued to be able to trial this product. I'm going to call it a serum even though I'm not 100% sure that's what it is, but that's how I used it. Being a woman of a certain age (!!), serums are my best friend. My skin isn't sensitive but it does have a tendency towards some dryness. First off, I really liked the presentation of the bottle. It can fit in the palm of your hand and the dropper means you don't spill and waste the serum inside. Normally instructions say just one or two drops is enough, but I found the dropper didn't actually distribute enough in one or two drops , so I generally used more. Having said though, I didn't race through the serum, I still have quite a bit left. I did find it a bit hard to smooth it over my skin. Once applied it tended to begin being absorbed immediately so I often found myself going back for more. Once I had enough on my skin though, it felt good. It felt like my skin was being beautifully moisturised. I tended to use it at night and the next day I always noticed that my skin looked pretty good. No, it didn't reduce any wrinkles or make me look 10 years younger but I think it did give me a bit of a glow. And for anyone who dislikes fragranced products, it had no fragrance at all! I got a bit of a surprise at that as anything with the word 'flower' in it's name makes me expect a very floral fragrance. I'm not sure if I'd swap my usual serums for this one, but I enjoyed using it and would encourage others to give it a go.

I'd never actually used a micellar water before, having been sceptical that they could really cleanse my face properly. But after attending BH's Bioderma event I was really keen to give it a go. I'm very glad I did! I thought that cleansing wipes were the best thing to use to quickly remove my make- day but after using Bioderma's product, I totally see the difference. Whereas wipes leave a residue on my skin, the micellar water makes it feel clean and look much clearer. I'm also happy to say that it doesn't irritate my eyes at all. Even when I've soaked the cotton pad in the water and placed it right over my eyes, there's no stinging whatsoever. And I'm a contact lens wearer! If there's one issue I have with it, it's that it isn't so great at removing mascara. I find I still need to use a normal cleanser in the shower, which I probably would've done anyway to make sure my skin was 100% clean. All in all, I'd totally recommend this product to anyone!

I've always been a fan of Nivea since I saw my mother using it when I was a little girl, so I was more than happy to try this product from them. To cut a long story short, I really liked it but, of course, there are some pros and cons which I'll go into. PROS: * It's really hydrating! I applied this in the morning and when I removed my make-up in the evening my skin still felt really moisturised. * I could easily apply my make-up over it. * It wasn't too fragranced, so I didn't have to hold my breath against some over-the-top floral smell each time I opened the jar. * Despite the addition of 'hyaluron', it didn't irritate my skin or eyes. Some ingredients you just know are going to give you that slightly unpleasant tingle and redness but this was gentle enough to use each day. CONS: * The cream is quite thick which on the one hand is good because it feels very hydrating but on the other hand that isn't so good for a day cream. After discovering this I applied it sparingly on the days I intended to wear make-up as I didn't want to wait ages for it to absorb into my skin before applying any make-up and nor did I want the make-up to slide off my face within a couple of hours. I still made sure I fully covered the skin on my face and neck, just with a much lighter hand! * I haven't noticed a huge change as yet in the appearance of my skin but I did think that I looked a bit more awake and brighter since I started using this cream so the signs are promising - not really a 'con' at all. Would I recommend this? Yes I would as a great day cream for the cooler months. I'm not sure it would be suitable during the hotter months due to the thickness of the cream but it's certainly worth giving it a go.

Of the three Total Temptation products this was the one which unfortunately didn't work for me. Some of the reasons were I think because of the product but others were definitely because of me. The main thing for me was that the eyeshadow unfortunately didn't really have the staying power that I need. But, this isn't the fault of the product at all! My eyelids are somewhat hooded so anything other than the toughest, longest-lasting eye products don't stay on my lids for more than a matter of minutes. Me and powder eyeshadow just don't, uh, see eye to eye. So with that in mind, I couldn't really tell if the pigments were rich enough or not. I think perhaps a bit of both. Even trying to build the colour on my eyelids was a bit difficult despite the fact that it was never going to stay in place! Having said that though, I thought the eye colours were pretty great. I preferred the darker colours as being a redhead with pale skin the orange-y ones tended to make me look ill. I struggled a little bit with the highlighters as well, I just found them a touch too pale. Overall, I can see that this palette would be great for some people (maybe those with skin tones darker than underside-of-a-fish pale!) but it just didn't work for me. But, considering the Total Temptation mascara and brow definer were pretty fantastic, well, two out of three ain't bad at all!

Having rather sparse eyebrows, eyebrow pencils and definers have become a big part of my daily make-up routine. I'm always on the lookout for the next great eyebrow product. Against all the ones I've used (and there has been quite a few!) this one from Maybelline stands up pretty well. I've been using Medium Brown and found it to be a great colour for me. I'm a redhead but this is just the right colour. As long as I don't press too hard it comes out the exact shade I want. I also really like the fact that the definer isn't too thick or too wide. Some eyebrow definers are rather large, making it a bit difficult to draw a finer line towards the outer edge of my eyebrow. But this one seems just about the right size. The other good thing is that it really does stay put. Whilst wearing it, I've sweated and been caught in the rain but my eyebrow colour hasn't budged until I washed it off at night. And it easily washes off with some warm water and cleanser! It has a small brush at the other end but I've never been a big user of these brushes. I can't really comment on how well it went with applying the eyebrow definer but I have found it mighty handy when I needed to unclump my eyelashes from an overdose of mascara. The brush was just the perfect size for evening out too much mascara! The only complaint I have (and the reason I've given this four out of five stars) is that I found the product just a little too dry when applying it. A slightly creamier product would've glided on incredibly easily but I found this always caught on my skin and I had to keep stopping and starting to prevent it dragging and pulling on my skin. Overall though, I'm very happy with this and would highly recommend it to anyone :)

Having spent ages trying to find the perfect mascara, I was thrilled at the chance to trial this one from Maybelline. Happily it didn't disappoint. My eyelashes are a little bit on the thin side, so this mascara has been fantastic for making them look longer and fuller. The brush is nice and thick (and the whole mascara wand is thick too so makes it easy to hold and control) so it evens out my lashes as well as coating them with the product. With this mascara, I've found that I don't need to apply too many layers to get that big and bold look. Usually about three to four swipes with the brush and I'm happy. When cleansing, the mascara was so easy to remove as well. I followed my normal routine and didn't have to take any extra steps to cleanse my eyelashes. The mascara easily washed off with soap and water (it may have helped that it didn't appear to be a waterproof mascara but I have had some that still left a residue, particularly along the bottom eyelashes). Another plus is that the mascara didn't irritate my eyes in the slightest. As a glasses and contact lens wearer this is extremely important to me but I felt no irritation whatsoever. A major bonus! If I have one complaint (or maybe two) it's that when I first opened the mascara, it had an odd flowery fragrance to it. I haven't noticed it as much lately but it was a bit off-putting at first. Also it does have a bit of a tendency to clump if you don't angle the brush just right but it was also easy to separate the lashes so that hasn't worried me too much. Overall, I'm really impressed with this mascara and would happily recommend it to anyone!

I've never tried any Bobbi Brown lipsticks before and now I have I'm definitely not disappointed! It's my new fave, the one I use each day and carry around for touch ups. Most impressive is the feel of it. It just glides on and dries to a matte look. Generally 'matte' equals dry but not with this lipstick. I wouldn't go so far as to say it feels like a balm, but its pretty close. The 'balm' feel does compromise the staying power of the colour a bit, but not disappointingly so. The colour doesn't last much past the middle of the day but as its so easy to apply, its easy to reapply. I also really liked how the colour is buildable. If I want a lighter tone of colour then I apply it once or twice. For a darker tone, maybe just a heavier hand and another coat does the trick. I'm so happy with this lipstick I might go check out some of the other colours!
