I used this for a very short time as part of this trial however I’ve been happy with the results. I tend to have quite sensitive skin so I started using 3 days a week with no side effects, I didn’t even get the tingling that is pretty normal for retinol products so I was impressed by that. Not wanting to tempt fate I kept to the 3 times and found my skin feeling soft and smooth and absolutely glowing the next morning. The packaging is simple and sleek, a handy pump bottle that is easy to dose and a silky smooth formulation that glides over skin leaving it feeling hydrated and smooth. In all I’m happy with this product and I’d consider buying it again.

I've been using the La Roche-Posay MELA B3 Niacinamide Serum for around 12 weeks now, and I'm really enjoying the results! I could not believe how bright and clear my skin looked the morning after the first use! This serum has quickly become a staple in my skincare routine. The texture is lightweight and absorbs effortlessly into the skin without leaving any sticky residue. One of the standout features is the high concentration of niacinamide, which has worked wonders for evening out my skin tone. I've noticed a reduction in dark spots and discolouration, and my complexion looks much more radiant and smooth. My skin also feels more hydrated and plump, which is a bonus! I have been adding 2 drops into my moisturiser which then covers my face, neck and décolletage. Overall, the La Roche-Posay MELA B3 Niacinamide Serum has exceeded my expectations. If you’re after a serum that delivers on its promises of hydrated, soft, smooth skin, this is for you. These come in a neat little tube filled with individual biodegradable capsules so you always get the right dose and no contamination. A single capsule easily covers my face, neck and décolletage. The serum feels silky, smooth and leaves a soft velvet sheen on the skin. Having sensitive rosacea skin, I do need to be careful with what I use but this serum has no smell or colour and may even have settled my rosacea as it is currently looking very good - even acknowledged by my dermatologist how settled it is. It is also preservative free so your skin can just absorb what it needs. My skin is currently glowing, hydrated and smooth, my other products spread very easily over this serum which has allowed me to use less of them. Honestly I’ve always loved Elizabeth Arden Ceramide but these advanced light capsules are a skincare marvel. I would use these again and again and recommend them to anyone who is after a top quality, results driven anti-aging serum.

Having not heard of this type of product or treatment before I was keen to try it out. My long hair is a bit dry and quite prone to throwing super brassy colours even when I colour it. Think yellow like the sun or orange like well … an orange. It’s frustrating and I don’t like the look. No matter what purple or blue shampoo and conditioner I use it just turns to brass. Enter metal detox. So this product is said to reduce the effects of excess metals in our water etc which affect our hair and its colour! I have to say the information i found was not super clear to me, it almost sounds a little flimsy, maybe because I’m new to this type of product? Anyway, as luck would have it, I had coloured my hair (at home this time) 4 days before this arrived. So the second I unwrapped it I got to work. The bottle is not overly large, small and squat with a black pump that you can lock and unlock with each use. The product is a beige shimmery type serum with a relatively thick texture and quite a strong, warm pleasant odour profile. It makes my hair feel hydrated and super soft. I’m not sure if it is meant to but it does which is great considering my dry ends. So does it extend colour, make hair look healthier you ask. Yes, it does. 4 weeks after colour and I have not had to even think about reaching for the purple shampoo. My colour is similar to when it was first done. I kid you not. Not a warm strand to be found! I swear this little product that I had my reservations about is a coloured hair game changer. A big call you say, well I stand by it. From roots to ends my hair colour looks fresh and I’m a little gobsmacked. Never had I ever thought about what the metals in our water are doing to my hair and its colour. My health in terms of ingestion yes, but never my hair and now, well L’Oreal have just solved my sunshine hair dilemma. Without word of a lie, I think this will extend my colour life by at least 2weeks minimum. There is an entire range of metal detox products available and at some point I might try the shampoo and conditioner out but for now, I am very grateful to have been able to trial this. I will buy it again and again.

This moisturiser is lovely. It has a subtle but pretty fragrance, smooths over easily, sinks in quickly and leaves no greasy feeling behind. As I get older I need slightly richer formulations though, so I found this lovely to use but I applied a second layer about 10mins after the first as my skin was just a little thirsty. The tube is a generous size with a flip top lid and a little of this creamy white product spreads a long way so as far as value for money goes this is quite good if you don’t have dry / dehydrated skin. I feel like I will love this and only need one coat in summer, like it’s the perfect QLD summer weight cream as it does absorb nicely and leaves my skin feeling soft but not greasy. This moisturiser will really suit perhaps a younger skin that isn’t quite as fussy as mine. Note I do have very sensitive skin these days - rosacea included which I struggle with and wish like crazy it wasn’t so, but I had no issues with this cream. It was comfortable, soft smelling and pleasant to use. In all a very positive experience.

I love a good hand cream. Something that on occasion smells nice, sinks in and makes my hands feel hydrated. There are some nice ones out there but none that repair super dry skin quite like this one. I use this cream every night before bed, massaging it in thoroughly to my cuticles and a very annoying dry cracked patch of skin on the side of my finger. Nothing has worked to lessen that dryness and constant hand washing and sanitising has only exacerbated it. This cream is so thick, rich and smooth that yes you guessed it, it has improved my hands immensely in just a couple of short weeks. The tube size is really generous with a flip top lid. A little product goes a long way and absorbs nicely with no slippery or greasy feeling. As it states it is fragrance free which I absolutely LOVE! I love products that work and that don’t smell like anything at all. I use a lot of essential oils so I prefer my scents to come from those. It also means that my super sensitive eyes don’t get irritated, I’m not even joking. Heavily fragranced products will set my eyes off, it’s so frustrating. I use this cream on my knees and elbows as well and they are definitely softer which is great news considering I’m also using a gradual tan cream in the mornings. My nails seem stronger since using this cream too, usually I get multiple splits low down but nothing since I’ve been using this. There is a foot cream from this brand too and it is amazing but for the moment I’m just slapping this on my feet too, getting summer ready. Honestly this is the best restoring hand cream I have used. I love it.

I have not used these for YEARS! They have been around forever just about and I can see why. Becoming reacquainted with these black head destroyers for the first time in many many years has me wondering why I ever stopped using them. The instructions are simple. Wash your face, make sure your nose is wet - very wet is best - then apply the strip and wait 10-15mins. The strip dries like plaster of Paris. Trust me, I do not find this comfortable at all. When you start to peel it off every tiny little bit of facial fuzz will come with it. You don’t know how much peach fuzz you have on your nose until you start pulling this baby off. Whilst this part is unpleasant then end result is grimly satisfying. Seeing the grot literally pulled from your pores, sitting on that little plaster strip, along with my peach fuzz and a few tears, makes me want to do it again and again until the grot can no longer accumulate. Seriously it’s one of those hurts so good type products. My nose looks so much cleaner it’s a bit shameful really that I now feel a little embarrassed that my nose looked so rough to begin with.

You know those products that you get that you just know you’re going to have to fight your family for? This is one of those in our house. My husband loves to get me to brush his hair every night with one of those little round plastic brushes. Until this brush landed on our door step as part of the best in beauty trial. My oldest son loves to brush his once straight, now suddenly curly hair into a mini frizz nest……..with this brush because ‘OMG mum it feels so good’. Whatever gets him to brush his hair. Me, I like to gently brush my hair before bed. I used to run the brush through and be done, now I take my time. Feeling the little metal prongs massage my scalp, relaxing and stimulating at the same time. After even just a few strokes, my hair is so smooth, falls better and is now after a few weeks of use much more shiny. It’s not my imagination because I’ve had a couple of friends comment on my hair looking ‘really good’. Yay! The brush is light weight, rounded with little metal fingers and a generous handle. It comes packaged in a very tidy, smart looking box with instructions for best use. Before you question the extra bit of packaging, I’d like to point out the number of times I’ve gone to buy a brush that someone else has already sampled. No thank you, I’ll take the box any day!

As always I will preface this review with the fact that I am cursed with super sensitive skin. Body, face, doesn’t matter. If there’s irritation to be found, my skin will find it. This cream is amazing. It comes in a very handy pump bottle which doses any amount you’re after, a tiny bit with a gentle press or a full bodies worth with a full press (bear in mind I’m short, longer legged beauties are going to need more). The cream is rich but not thick, it spreads easily, smoothly and sinks in so quickly. I hazard a guess this cream will be perfectly suitable for hot QLD summers as well as our mild winter. I really love the fact there is zero smell to this cream, zip, none, nada! So wearing fragrance is still a possibility with out mixing and overwhelming. After the first use my skin looked more hydrated, those yucky white lines that make your skin look like the dry cracked earth of the desert are no longer visible. Dry itchiness has been banished and after about 3 weeks of solid use morning and night my skin looks so well hydrated, is comfortable and smooth.
