Picked this up because I’m working on building better sun protection habits before summer arrives and part of that is trying new products to protect my lips, hair etc. I have been surprised how much I love this yummy balm. Maybe it’s the Victorian chill but it’s so thick I need to warm the tube up to get some out. It smells gorgeous and really stays on giving a nice nourishing layer, and it doesn’t taste weird like some lip products with sunscreen can. New staple for me, planning on getting every flavour but right now I have toasted coconut.

Many thanks to BH for sending me this product to trial. Aveeno fresh greens blend conditioner is formulated to refresh and thicken your hair, without added parabens, sulfates or dyes. While oat extract is the base, this conditioner is infused with rosemary, peppermint and cucumber to soothe your scalp and nourish the hair. This is a nice thick, white conditioner that spreads through my hair really well and provides perfect moisture without weight, and enables easy detangling of hair. It’s packaged in a green squeeze bottle- I wish it was not identical to the shampoo bottle in shape as I have trouble seeing the difference without glasses. This would be an amazing conditioner for people who don’t like how conditioner makes their hair feel.

Aveeno fresh greens blend is a shampoo infused with rosemary, peppermint and cucumber designed to add thickness and body while soothing the scalp with oat extracts. It has no added sulfates, dyes or parabens. The shampoo itself is clear and has very little fragrance- sort of a fresh green scent but I couldn’t smell much. It’s packaged in a green squeeze bottle with a bronze top, and while dispensing from the bottle is easy, the conditioner is packaged in an identical bottle which for me isn’t ideal. It has a light but complete lather, and rinses very clean without leaving you feeling stripped of all moisture. It definitely leaves me with very light, fluffy hair, which styles and holds volume well. A slight word of caution is that it’s a bit hard on coloured hair. I have been using this on the kids mainly and their hair is luscious!

First of all a huge thank you to BH for the trial, and in particular I was happy to have a longer period of time to really try this out, as while I saw positive benefits quickly after an entire month of use I can say I am in love with this. It’s supposed to be a dupe for *that* high end, OG night serum….but having tried both, I definitely prefer this. Which is fortunate as I really can’t afford the high end one! Me, 41, combination/dry skin with some texture and hyperpigmentation. My skin routine is focused on nourishment and sun protection and this beautiful product slipped right in as star serum, and it’s now the serum I reach for the most. While it is named the Midnight serum you can use this morning and night and I can’t get enough of it. I love the cool, modern bottle, and the dropper is perfect, but it’s the golden goo inside that counts. I always end up throwing away the exterior box and then being annoyed with myself because the ingredients are only listed on the packaging and not on the product bottle, so maybe learn from my on that one. And count it does. It’s not a miracle product, nothing is, but my skin is hydrated, and it’s tighter, plumper. My chin and neck area looks visibly firmer to me. I just generally look better, even on days i slept badly, cried, feel crummy, this serum has me looking at my skin and feeling good about how it looks. I look rested. I look like I might do a lot of yoga, maybe even drink green smoothies, definitely like I sleep for 10 hours at a time. The serum does feel slightly oily to touch but it sinks straight into my skin and doesn’t feel like it’s sitting on my skin. All my favourite creams layer well over it, but I think I’ve worn it alone a few times as it’s so hydrating I probably forgot to moisturise after. There’s definitely some fragrance in this, the light scent that’s in most of the age perfect line, but I haven’t had any issues with that. This is a little pricier than a typical L’Oréal product but my 30ml bottle is going strong after a month of use even with using every night and most days, too. I think I’ll get close to three months use perhaps which seems reasonable to me for such a great all-rounder serum. If you’re 35 plus this could be a great first serum, or anyone who is seeing those first signs of crepey, sagging skin and wants to add some extra support to their routine. Anti-aging skincare can be so confusing and having one product be able to do so much for my skin really impressed me.

Big thank you to BH for sending this product for trial! I’d been dithering about stripping the red from my hair and the trial helped me to decide! Colourless Max Condition is a hair colour remover with added conditioning ingredients, designed to remove semi permanent or permanent hair colour. The process isn’t too confusing so long as you read the instructions thoroughly and maybe even do some research or strand testing to determine what you can expect. I found the bottle the product is mixed in really hard to squeeze, to the point where my hand hurt. If you have hand issues you might prefer to mix in a bowl and apply from there. The first part isn’t too bad, but then the endless rinsing began. Adding the shampoo component to my hair is where it got yuck. A strong, sulphurous odour combined with the feeling of my hair turning to straw was horrible, but it’s normal for colour removal and not the fault of this product. There is also a conditioner which I found just okay, it didn’t help the awful smell coming from my hair at all and I had to use something else. That said, it pulled all the red from my hair. These products absolutely work but I’d really only use as an emergency measure

I'm never really sure how it happens, but somehow between Beautyheaven testing, gifts, impulse buys and possibly fairies, my bathroom is breeding body lotion. I have every smell, formulation, you name it, and i adore my lotion wardrobe. But it turns out not everyone wants to smell like a watermelon (why though?) because this lotion is almost gone, and stepson of 15 has already requested more. He loves the way it soothes his dry and itchy skin while leaving no fragrance, and has even been using it on his face with great results. I love this smooth cream on sensitive areas or freshly shaved legs. It really gives a deeply nourished feeling to dry skin. The price point is great for an every day product, and it has my most favourite lotion thing - a pump, as for some reason the lotion bottles with pumps are much more likely to get used in our household.

Plunkett's Pharmaceuticals are one of those Australian brands who just get it done, and NS8 definitely gets it done. My eyes lit up when i saw this because while my pedicured paws weren't really in need, my partner's caveman feet had some cracking in the heels and were ripe for just such a makeover opportunity. Minimal arm twisting was required to get him to submit to twice daily foot massages, and he was happy that the cream didn't "smell girly" and that it absorbed quickly and didn't feel "all slippery and gross". I tried to tell him about the benefits of the Urea, Lactic and Malic acids, and soothing homeopathic ingredients but by then he had fallen asleep. I didn't "feel the difference in one day" as it says on the packaging, but after three days his feet were much softer to touch, and over the week since the cracks are becoming shorter and more shallow. I tried this on my crusty leaning elbow and it helped a lot too!

I'm incredibly pleased to see a Glow Lab product in this years Natural Beauty month box, as i was introduced to the brand via last years box and have become a huge fan. Their products are well priced with cutting edge ingredients in gentle formulations and this Retinol Booster oil is no exception. A sunflower seed oil base features anti aging superstars Pracaxi Seed, Rosehip, Marula oils alongside the super here, Bakuchiol. Bakuchiol has amazing antioxidant, brightening and anti wrinkle properties and is incredibly soothing to damaged or troubled skin. Each Glow Lab oil I've tried has been incredibly light and penetrated easily into skin, and this oil beats my previous favourite of theirs, Rosehip Plus. There's so many ways to add oil into your routine. I use two drops am and pm but also add a drop to my foundation, mix into serums, body lotions, and i especially like to put this one into my hair because it turns out that Pracaxi and Bakuchiol and incredible for your hair, too!

As a fine haired beauty I'm all for products that make my hair look and feel voluminous and full of life...but I am a little wary of products promising to improve hair density or promote growth. Thicker Fuller Thickening Treatment contains a host of botanicals, amino acids, glycerine to moisturise, and essential oils, and comes packaged in a 200ml bottle with a spray nozzle for application to the scalp. It smells pretty strongly of essential oils, maybe rose? I think this is a treatment product rather than a styling product, although i think my crown area might look more lifted after using this. I cannot be certain but i think this made my scalp itchy, and i don't particularly like the smell. It maybe made my roots feel a bit crunchy too, although that may be a bonus for some as it helped to hold styles quite well. Maybe i used too much product? I plan to continue trialling if my scalp doesn't react again to see if i do see measurable results in terms of hair growth.

Thank you to Beautyheaven for including this product in this year's Natural Beauty month box, because this is the product I did not know I needed in my life! I am a die hard for Burt's Bees lip balms but I very rarely try new lip gloss because I cannot stand sticky lips, and I am constantly disappointed. A high end gloss I was gifted even made my lips dryer and somehow left a weird chemical taste in my mouth?! No thank you. With masks being mandatory i don't bother with lipstick but sometimes i want just a tiny something, and this is definitely it. I received the colour 020 Blush, which is the perfect some pink with a subtle sparkle and shine. It's like a hybrid between a gloss and a balm, with a fruity scent and the tiniest bit of menthol to make your lips tingle gently. AND - your hair doesn't stick to it. Which is really all i wanted. Absolutely adore!
