Over the past two decades, I had lost hope in finding a liner which was right, until now! The Poise extra long liner had similar features to the charcoal liner: it was lightweight, was presented neatly and separately, remained in place due to the adhesive on the back of the liner, was unscented as a result of the charcoal and ABSORB-LOC® layers which made it suitable for those with sensitive skin, felt fresh, was discreet due to being made with the right thickness, and provided both protection and coverage. In comparison, as this liner was 40mm longer, a sticky tab was attached to each of the packaging in providing easy access to the product and ensuring that the liner was intact. As someone who has literally found their missing liner inside a toilet due to the lack of adhesive, it is a triumph to finally have found a quality product.

Each liner felt lightweight, individually wrapped in a compact manner. Once the liner was removed from its packaging, it appeared to be a reasonable size with the charcoal layer covering the majority of the product. Compared to other liners previously worn, both the quality and amount of adhesive on the back of the charcoal part of the liner allowed for it to stay in place. The thickness of the liner was just right, not too thin, not too bulky, so much so that it went unnoticed that one was being worn. Besides light bladder or menopause issues, the product would also be suited for anyone with discharge, leading up to or towards the end of one's menstrual cycle, as well as those with sensitive skin, as the liners were odourless due to the charcoal and ABSORB-LOC® layers. After 20+ years of wearing liners, this Poise product ticked all the boxes.

The serum was presented in a recyclable box containing information about its aims, how it was applied, and its expectations. Although the image shown on part of the packaging's main front and side was of a serum with a dropper on the top, once opened, the serum was found with a screw on top and a dropper in a divided section of the box. The serum had a cloudy appearance with a slight scent. Once dispensed into my fingers using a clear, glass, flat-base dropper, the serum had a silky texture. Although the scent disappeared, an unexpected sticky texture was felt when the serum was pressed into the skin. However, after waiting the recommended time for the serum to be absorbed, not only had the sticky texture disappeared leaving these areas smooth but my skin was hydrated! After using the serum followed up by my usual skincare routine daily, for 2 weeks, there was a noticeable spark in my skin, possibly assisted by ingredients such as panthenol. One issue I had with the serum was in regards to the dropper. When squeezing the rubber end of the dropper, I was constantly frustrated that remaining serum couldn't be dispensed in full at the other end, leaving it clogged within the tube! If this end of the dropper was perhaps slightly wider then the serum could be dispensed with more ease. Although experiencing positive results from the serum, the only time I would purchase this product would be when it was on sale.

Despite being guilty of owning a number of candles, after discovering that the brand, Circa, was part of the Glasshouse Fragrances family, I caved and purchased the Australian owned candle in the May 2022 rewards room. The 350g soy candle was presented in a light brown shaded recyclable box with minimal yet specific detailing on the front. On the back included a descriptive summary of what the candle offered and some of the aromas one could expect from the candle once it was burning. In fact, I didn't have to wait too long to find out as the scents of vanilla and an inkling of citrus could be smelt from the gold, lightweight lid, which was packed separately and on top of the box. Underneath the lid was the candle made from natural elements, including lead-free wicks, featured in a clear decorative and reusable glass jar. Once lit, the candle brought a pleasant and comforting scent, one filled with a mixture of sweetness and spice, resembling a vanilla chai latte, which felt like the right candle choice during these winter days.

After trialing the vitamin C brightening serum sample, thanks to @Meedee, it was great to be able to try a full sized version of the product when it became available in the May 2022 rewards room. The packaging of the serum was a recyclable, rectangular box with relevant information on all 4 sides, 3 of which focused on vitamin C. This included its ingredients, such as Niacinamide, which worked well together with vitamin C, towards achieving luminous skin. The serum itself came in a 30ml frosted bottle with a dropper found at the top. Around the bottle included 3 separate sections of summarised detailing from the box. When used for the first time, the serum had a thick texture and was fragrant free, which absorbed into the skin quickly leaving no residue. After just a few days, my skin appeared to look more vibrant. In addition, some of my dark spots were less noticeable some weeks into using the product. I liked the flexibility of the serum that it could be used morning and/or nightly perhaps to help coincide with other skincare products being used. Retailing at a reasonable price for under $30 and easily purchased from walk in and online stores, including Boost Lab's official website, the serum would make a great product for first time users of vitamin C.

After receiving a few Boost Lab serum samples, courtesy of @Meedee, and trialing them, one of which included a sachet of Boost Lab's 2D hyaluronic acid hydro boost serum, I was hoping that this product would appear in a future rewards room, and in May 2022, it was. The packaging from the Australian brand contained detailed information on all 4 sides of the box including its purposes, an informative summary regarding hydration, and instructions to applying the serum. The 30ml serum was presented in a translucent glass bottle with a dropper, which was convenient as one would be in control of how much content was used. The serum's appearance was clear, with a lovely texture, and was fragrant free which meant it would be suitable for anyone. The serum absorbed quickly and left my face feeling soft. With the help of ingredients such as hydrolysed hyaluronic acid and panthenol and finishing my skincare routine with a moisturiser, I noticed that my skin had a definite glow and was more hydrated.

Although admitting in a previous product review on Sukin's rose hydrating mist toner that it would remain a skincare item in my routine, I couldn't help but give another Sukin mist toner a chance. A best-selling product from an Australian brand was presented in a 125ml bottle with a press and spray feature. I enjoyed using the mist toner for a number of reasons: the simple application of just spraying the content onto the face and neck, its calming combined scent of chamomile and rose, that it was made from natural ingredients, and that it was a 2-in-1 product, which meant using one less item in my skincare routine. More specifically, after using the mist toner after a few weeks, I noticed that my skin was left more refreshed and hydrated and that there was less redness in my cheeks. As with Sukin products, the mist toner was reasonably priced and could be found at various outlets, such as the supermarket and chemist.

The 100ml facial product was presented in circular packaging, with the lid providing some of its natural Australian ingredients, including kakadu plum and quandong. The detailing around the facial masque listed the brand, product's name, instructions to using the product, and a full list of the ingredients. When the lid was first opened, I was immediately introduced to an uplifting and pleasant scent of goodness, with rosehip the stand out ingredient. The facial masque was applied to the face and neck with a beauty spatula to help minimise hygiene issues. The white, thick, and creamy content absorbed into the skin quickly and easily. Skin was left hydrated and soft which my skin lacked, especially during the colder weather. The product was used two times per week on days I would have a shower. The facial masque was applied 15 minutes beforehand and easily washed off at the beginning of my shower.

As I had recently heard and read about the benefits of walnut shells in skincare, such as in reducing acne and achieving a smoother complexion, after doing some research, I decided that a first step to trying this ingredient would be from a personal trusted skincare brand. Sukin's revitalising facial scrub was a 125ml upright stand alone tube, with a flip top lid located at the base. The product comprised of two main natural ingredients of bamboo extract and walnut shell powder, which assisted in eliminating face impurities, and as a result, leaving a clean and refreshed face. When first squeezed from the tube, white content appeared with a light and pleasant scent. Fine granules could be felt in the scrub when massaged into the face and neck, which left the face in a calm state. Once the scrub was removed, my face felt soft, gentle, and purified! The one thing I was disappointed about was that I had not discovered this product sooner! For a product that is affordable, available to purchase from various outlets, Australian made, and a natural product made from jojoba and rosehip, this is yet another Sukin facial scrub I would like to include in my skincare routine.

The Australian made hand sanitiser was a free product received in an online order at Chemist Warehouse last year. The main front of the 225ml round bottle included brief, specific detailing such as the product's name and two key ingredients of green tea and mint. The back provided 2 separate columns of product detailing. The 1st column listed instructions to applying the hand sanitiser and ingredients and the 2nd column provided a summary of the elements not found in the product, and hence highlighting that it was mostly produced from natural ingredients. The pump dispenser feature was easy to use, with one being in control of how much content was dispensed. The hand sanitiser was made at the right consistency and absorbed quite quickly leaving hands clean and fresh. Oddly enough, whenever I used the hand sanitiser, a Vegemite fragrance was left on my hands. Overall, it was a great product to use, in particular during these COVID times.
