I have sensitive skin which is also quite dry, so I was keen on trying an option that would boost my hydration quickly. The Simple Radiance Boosting Mask looked promising, with all the right things written on the pack. However, on opening the pack (which was a nice, easy tear open option) and pulling the mask out I was disappointed. I found the mask to be folded up quite small and absolutely saturated in the liquid. It was to the point where I would call it sloppy and was worried about dripping on the floor. After managing to pull it apart (only slightly tearing the mask), I applied to my face. I didn't find this particularly easy, but this applies to all face masks as the way it sits around my eyes and nose isn't flush which I would prefer as these are the areas that I usually want to target the most. I waited the allotted 15 minutes and then removed. As per the instructions, you can either massage the lotion in or wash off. I used a cotton pad and wiped a lot of the excess lotion off (as there was so much) and then massaged in the last of it. I wasn't going to apply moisturiser as I had just applied a moisturising/hydrating mask, but quickly found my skin felt tight afterwards and needed to apply my night moisturiser. Overall, I was disappointed with the product. I didn't notice a considerable difference after one use, perhaps if used weekly?

I will be honest - I'm still not sure about this one!! I am an avid micellar water user, so it was good to try the milky water version. The first thing I noticed was the difference in texture. It's not watery, but it's not thick either. It's really hard to describe. I applied using a cotton pad and started with an amount about the size of a 50c piece. I found I had to top up the cotton pad once or twice as it wasn't enough to clean my whole face. Because it wasn't very watery, it didn't really soak in to the pad like the usual micellar water did, rather you were applying the liquid to your face, almost like a lotion. The idea of this is that you don't need to wash it off afterwards and it is meant to be moisturising for your skin. Because I put so much on my skin though to remove all my makeup (and I don't wear much makeup at all - stay at home mum here), I felt like I had to at least splash some water on my face afterwards. It definitely works, and my skin felt soft and hydrated, but I'm just not sold on it. I'll finish the bottle I've got, but will stick to regular micellar water afterwards.

I reviewed this product as part of a Trial Team, and was asked to apply every day for a month. The product sells itself as a lash accelerator, but can also be used on eye brows which I was keen to try. As a busy mum to a newborn, I did forget to apply some days, however I still saw results! The tube is clear with a yellow label and lid - it seems an odd colour choice, as I'll be honest and say yellow plastic doesn't scream luxe, but this little tube is the product that could! The applicator is a cross between a mascara wand and a brush, enabling you to easily coat lashes from base to tip. It does feel slightly odd at first, its rather wet, but you quickly get used to it. I found after the month that my eye lashes are healthier and stronger. I have significantly less lash loss when rubbing my eyes or removing makeup. I didn't notice extra length, but perhaps more fullness given my lashes didn't fall out as often. I was a bit disappointed with the results on my brows, as I didn't notice any significant changes, but they have always been sparse so maybe it's genetics and asking too much of a beauty product!!

I'm a natural blonde and have always found that on days that I don't wash my hair, it looks quite dull and dark. While it might not be oily, it just doesn't look fresh. With long hair, I don't like to wash it every day and so dry shampoo is my saviour! I was excited to try Batiste Luxe dry shampoo as I've tried a few from their original range as well. On using this product, I definitely think it's my favourite out of all the Batiste products. I didn't need to spray a lot, but it applied well. With some other products I've felt I had to spray a lot and almost use half the can in only one application. This time, just a few spritzes through my part and along my hairline was enough. I used my fingers to massage it through and it looked natural and fresh. There was no white residue on my skin, and my hair didn't look dried out. It also worked well enough that the next day I could have gotten away without washing it again! My favourite part of this dry shampoo was the smell - or lack thereof! A lot of hair products and dry shampoos have overly obvious scents, mainly coconut, and I really don't like that. This had a very subtle scent as you applied, but I didn't notice the scent throughout the day which was great for me.

I trialled the Lady Jayne vaddle brush thanks to the Trial Team. I have long hair and blow dry almost every day, so anything that promises to shorten time and help with styling has my interest! I usually use either a round bristle brush or a traditional paddle brush to assist in blow drying, and the vaddle differs from this with its firmer bristles and vented base. Initially it took me a while to adjust to the firmer bristles – I am used to pushing on my head with the brush to grab the hair and pull it up and out, however the vaddle didn’t accommodate this well as it has very firm and rigid bristles. It ran through my hair similar to the way a comb would, so I found it didn’t give me any extra volume, but did assist with drying time and gave me a smoother and shinier finish. I have a few curly cowlick pieces around my face and the vaddle didn’t work very well to stretch and straighten them out, which was disappointing. I found the best way for me to get the best blow dry was to alternate between the vaddle and the round bristle brush. I did like the smooth finish, and it did help having the vents to dry the back of my head which often takes the longest. The brush was comfortable in my hand, not too heavy and not too large either. Very easy to use while blowdrying for 10 minutes!! I’m not sure about the value for the current price, but if you could get this on sale it would be a useful tool to have in the hair kit.

I was fortunate to try the shampoo and conditioner together as part of the Trial Team. I was very excited to try this product, as I am keen on using products that are as natural as possible. The packaging looked really nice, and the label was quite detailed as to what the product was, and what it was free from. The smell was very subtle – the coconut was not overpowering which I appreciated. The conditioner came out thick, but not too thick, and I was able to use a 50c piece size for my shoulder-blade length hair. It felt quite nice on, it didn’t disappear into my hair quickly which often happens with natural products I find. After shampooing and conditioning, my hair was fresh and clean. It had quite a bit of bounce, but I did find it wasn’t very hydrating and my hair quickly became dry and dull looking. My hair lost its shine and I felt I needed to do a deep condition to get it shiny and hydrated again. My hair is combination, and I certainly wouldn’t normally consider it to be dry – I sway more to the oily side. Unfortunately, for this reason, I won’t be repurchasing.

My husband even commented that it felt really nice when washing his hair – the right amount of sud! The smell was very subtle – the coconut was not overpowering which I appreciated. It left my hair feeling very clean and fresh, and my hair didn’t get oily straight away – I was still able to wash my hair every second day. My only negative with the product, which would probably stop me from repurchasing: I found my hair dried out very quickly. After using it every second day for one week, I noticed the mid-lengths to ends of my hair became quite dry and dull looking. My hair lost its shine and I felt I needed to do a deep condition to get it shiny and hydrated again. My hair is combination, and I certainly wouldn’t normally consider it to be dry – I sway more to the oily side. My husband found on his short hair it felt a bit dry and straw-like as well. It might be good for those who have particularly oily hair?

I used this conditioner in conjunction with the shampoo. The conditioner spread easily and I only needed about a 20c piece size for my long hair. The scent wasn't noticeable and went nicely with the shampoo. On rinsing, strands felt silky soft even though they were wet. Afterwards, my hair after just one use appeared smoother, softer and I had an instantly noticeable reduction in fly-aways and broken strands that stuck out. I definitely noticed results from using this and feel my hair is stronger and healthier than ever.

I used this shampoo alongside the matching conditioner. The shampoo soaped up on the hair very easily, and a little went along way. The scent of the shampoo was mild and pleasant, leaving a slight smell in the hair afterwards. When washing it didn't give my hair that squeaky clean feeling, instead my hair felt clean, hydrated and strong. My hair when dried after just one use appeared smoother and I had an instantly noticeable reduction in fly-aways and broken strands that stuck out. My hair stayed clean for 2 days, which is my usual hair wash routine. I definitely noticed results from using this and feel my hair is stronger and healthier than ever.

When trying a new foundation, I look for a few key things: coverage, texture and longevity. This foundation delivered on all three. The colour I chose was a perfect match for my skin tone and blended perfectly to leave me with a flawless complexion. The coverage was great, covering my ‘slightly too rosy’ cheeks without leaving me with cake face. It was quite easy to apply, creamy but not overly thin in consistency, and it left my face with just the right amount of dewiness – not too matte and not too shiny, just right! I don’t use primer, but I did go over the top with a light powder to set it, and found that the foundation easily provided good coverage for a full day at work (and I’m one to touch my face!) The pump action bottle gets a big tick from me, as it means the product lasts well with no fingers and germs stuck in a pot. There were no nasty smells, in fact I couldn’t smell anything! Price wise, it’s a good middle price point and I’d be happy to pay full price for it – although it goes on sale often enough at Priceline I’m sure I could pick it up cheaper! My only down side was that it was hard to wash off my hands afterwards – but I’m taking that as a sign that it’s got very good staying power! I am very happy with this foundation and will definitely repurchase.
