I bought this as a change from my usual go-to (Rimmel's 'Match Perfection' foundation). Unfortunately, the glittery particles are a little too noticeable for my liking, which makes the foundation somewhat unbuildable. I'm not going to give up on it just yet - I think it could work well blended with either a moisturiser or a BB cream. Failing that, maybe it's just better suited as an evening foundation, where your face doesn't end up sparkling under the sun. Either way, LESS is definitely MORE with this product. Just kinda annoying, as it's more expensive than Rimmel's other liquid foundations, so I'd rather just use it as it is without needing to do funky things to make it work, y'know?

I got this recently, when I was on a Sukin splurge. I haven't used body oils for a while, but I had something else in mind when I bought this. So I've used it as a body oil - lovely, cannot fault it. If you look closely at the packaging, it says it's also ideal for the face. This must mean the essential oil to vegetable oil ratio is safe (too high a concentration if essential oil in facial products can cause irritation). And it really is great for the face! I've actually used this as an oil facial cleanser ('oil cleansing method' type thing), and I've also used it as a night time moisturising oil. I like the consistency and finish on my skin even more than that other Sukin product - the 'anti aging' oil (I think it's called 'hydration booster' or some crap) which I find a little too greasy. Anyway, great multipurpose product!

I have very thick, very curly hair, with a lot of volume. Think Flashdance. I've been using this hairspray for several years now. When i've run out, i've tried other people's hairsprays and like the results... but i could never bring myself to switch over. A good hairspray really depends on what you need, and what i need is for my hair to have hold, without appearing like it's being 'held up'. This hairspray gives me a flexible hold and has a rather dry finish about it. It recreates a natural look, with just a bit more bounce. If you want a hairspray for styles that are hellbent on defying the laws of gravity, this one won't be right for you. Try something with a lacquered finish - they generally do the trick. Word of advice: if you spray too closely in a concentrated section of hair, it will leave a powdery looking film - so make sure you spray it from around 30cm away!

It does the job. Hydrates, sinks in, performs well under make up, isn't too greasy for someone with combination skin like me. Only thing is i don't really see THAT much difference between this face cream, and Sukin's regular moisturising face lotion that comes in a pump bottle for less than half the price ($9.99 as opposed to $23.99), and which also features rosehip oil quite high up in the ingredients list (from memory). Maybe it's a bit richer, and i think it has kakadu plum or whatever, but aside from that, it smells really similar and feels really similar on the skin. I don't know. Maybe it's a marketing gimmick. Works fine though, if you got the cash to spare.

I bought this cream after experiencing an adverse reaction to another brand of (non-natural - when will i learn!?) skin care. My face - especially the skin around my mouth - became dehydrated and inflamed, and since then, my skin's natural balance has been a little out of wack. My skin is still recovering from this episode, and so i'm currently using this cream to pat into the area around my mouth during the day, whenever my skin feels thirsty and needs to be soothed. I work in an air-conditioned environment which exacerbates my current state of sensitivity, so i mostly use it at work. Otherwise, this cream is probably a tad heavy for me - especially as we're approaching summer. This cream is similar to Sukin's face lotion for sensitive skin, but the consistency is thicker (hence the jar packaging). If you have dry skin, there's no reason you can't use this during the day. In fact, i don't know why it's marketed as a 'night cream'. Really, it should just be marketed as an 'extra rich' cream. By the way, like all of Sukin's sensitive skin range, it has a very mild vanilla scent. If you have sensitive skin, don't let that put you off - the scent is from the vanilla extract, and not from essential oils which can be a bit intense for those with sensitive skin.

This was my go-to body lotion for many years. I don't know... i guess it was a product i grew up with in the family home. Anyway, i revisited this a few years ago when i got hit with major windburn and not enough moisturiser while trekking in the Himalayas. A chemist in the village was stocking this, and i slathered it all over my face and damaged hands like there was no tomorrow, and my goodness, the difference it made!!! However, since then the formula has changed. It used to have Vitamin E and i think sunflower oil. Now it has neither of these ingredients, and the lotion's consistency seems more watery. Despite the change in formula, it still works to soften the skin. But i find it leaves the skin feeling sticky (which don't remember it doing), and i can't deal with lotions that make my skin feel sticky!

I started using this as a face and body cream when i was 18 and starting to look after my skin. Seemed fine at the time, but then i got a boyfriend with super sensitive skin, and he reacted badly to it, just from his face touching my face. So i moved on to other brands (and other partners), and that was that. This was many years ago. Recently i felt nostalgic and picked up a pot of this stuff. I found myself loving it as a body cream - it's got a whipped but rich texture, and it was very easy to spread all over. It left my skin feeling very soft and smooth, and not sticky at all (i loathe stickiness in body creams and lotions). The scent is soapy... however it borders on smelling chemical-ish... kinda like insect killer. (Which is a shame - i really wish the scent was like the original Nivea Creme in a blue jar, because that stuff smells soapy sans insect killer scent.) I also tried using this as a face cream. I lasted about maybe a week, before realising that my skin has irreversibly acclimatised to more natural products. I had to bite the bullet and admit that Nivea Soft was making the skin on my face feel very uncomfortable. Not quite a burning feeling (i didn't develop redness or anything.) It's more that the skin, especially around my mouth, just felt stifled or something. Anyway, the verdict is that it's really nice as a body cream, but not so great as a face cream, at least if you've built up an intolerance to slathering synthetic crap on your face like i have.

I tried this as a body scrub and it was okay - fairly gentle. Nothing i'd rave about. But that's ok, because i'm always using products in different ways. If you look at the ingredients list on the Sukin body scrub, it's pretty much the same formula as the Sukin face scrub, except the body scrub formula contains a higher concentration of walnut shells (or whatever the exfoliating granule is - i can't remember from the top of my head) to make it scrubbier. Which is a good thing for me, because i find Sukin's face scrub a little TOO gentle. It's ok, but the granules are spread too sparsely throughout the cream-based formula for my liking. So i decided to try the body scrub as a face scrub, and it did everything i wanted a face scrub to do. It had more of a St Ive's feel about it, but not as harsh. (Let this be a warning for those with sensitive skin). On a side note, as a face scrub, it ends up being better value for money too. Sukin face scrub is $9.99 per 125ml, whereas the body scrub is $12.99 per 200ml.

It's not that this scrub is bad. I mean, it scrubs adequately enough, and there's a good enough grit to it. But it just feels really tacky. It's basically a gel-base with bits of plastic floating around in it. There are better scrubs out there for a similar price - scrubs that use some other exfoliating granule aside from plastic microbeads (by the way, plastic microbeads aren't biodegradable and inevitably end up in the ocean).

I tried this, thought it worked okay as a body moisturiser. But really, its functionality as a body moisturiser depends on what you're looking for. I found it provided light moisture and left my skin feeling supple... but if you really need to fix those problem dry areas, then nothing beats lubing up and rubbing lotion into the skin. That said, i tried using it as a shaving cream (i normally use hair conditioner). Best move ever - razor glides along smoothly, and my skin feels very soft and calm afterwards.
