This is a nice hydrating shampoo that leaves the most amazing smell on my hair. It combos well with the shampoo and the size is massive! I don’t need much of this to feel the difference it leaves on my hair. I wouldn’t say it’s super hydrating if you have dry hair but it’s perfect for my thick oily hair, doesn’t leave any residues and leaves it shiny and silky as compared to the previous conditioner I used. I’m absolutely obsessed with the delicious smell it leaves on my hair and highly recommend this for girls needing a light weight but hydrating conditioner that leaves your hair super silky and smooth.

Beautiful smell, it makes my hair smell so good and I have received a lot of compliments after changing to this shampoo and the matching conditioner. I found that it lathered up a lot and was good at cleaning my scalp, but as I have a pretty sensitive scalp- I found this to be drying if I went in there twice and cleaned thoroughly. Hence, I use this as a clarifying first wash and then after I use another gentle shampoo so my scalp doesn’t get overwhelmed. It is very good as a clarifying shampoo however so I totally recommend it for girls with oily hair that gets build up and dandruff on the scalp easily!

I started using this for about 2 weeks and have felt a significant difference in the acne on my left side cheek, which happens to be the side that I sleep on. I wash my pillows often but even then, this side is more prone to acne, I’m assuming from an increased exposure to bacteria due to sleeping on that side. I get small little pimples and bumps that are persistent but not overly obvious. The La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo has been a godsend and I notice the bumps going smaller and going away. After 2 weeks, there has been an obvious reduction in little red bumps on that cheek and it is almost the same as my spotless RHS cheek. No pain, no sensitivity to it or irritation (despite my sensitive skin), easily applied and no bad smell. The tube is small but you don’t need a lot- I spot treat with it right now as it’s summer.

I’m always on the hunt for a good gentle cleanser with clean ingredients that won’t be too harsh on anyone’s skin (as my skin is ridiculously temperamental and sensitive to everything!) and this cleanser ticked all the boxes so I had to try it! What can I say, I’m super impressed. First off: Smell: 9/10. Not too strong, light hint of something fresh like mint/cucumber. Really pleasant and fresh scent. Texture: 10/10. light sage gel like consistency made up of a few gentle ingredients that I usually look out for in my cleansers. The effect: 10/10. Where can I start- the cleanser cleans really well and you walk out of the shower feeling like your face is very clean and ready to lay on skincare! The really impressive thing is, it’s honestly very gentle on the skin so you don’t feel tight or like moisture got pulled out of the skin, this is due to the type of cleansers they have chosen which is free of SLS and other drying ingredients commonly found in drugstore brands. I gently pump a small 5 cent amount and lather it gently on my wet face in the shower and get an amazing clean out of this cleanser. Currently, it’s my favourite go to morning cleanser as I always feel so fresh after using it! It’s super suitable for sensitive skin as theres very little ingredients in it that could set off skin so this checks all the boxes for me! I will be constantly repurchasing this cleanser.

I loved this exfoliator! It was extremely gentle with the texture being that of a creamy consistency- it was white and smelt pleasant. The smell for this exfoliator was not overwhelming, it had a light hint of cucumber and mint that I really like. I used this exfoliator about 3 times weekly which I think is enough, I loved that after using it I feel that my fave is cleansed a lot deeper than usual. The only thing that took the 5 star away for me was the beads- they are a bit on the harsher side (nothing like St Ives) but I wish it was a touch more gentle as the beads are a bit big. However, can’t fault the rest of the formula- it’s really nice! I would definitely look at repurchasing this again as I was very impressed with this exfoliator and the cleanser in the same range (which is super gentle). As my skin is quite sensitive, I especially concentrated on exfoliating with the daily detox exfoliator on my neck and under the chin where the skin can get quite oily and grime from the day. It’s been amazing for the neck!

To start off with, I’d like to disclose that my skin is very sensitive and temperamental. When I trialled this product for BH, I immediately knew my skin wouldn’t take to it as the second ingredient is denatured alcohol- which my skin reacts to as getting very red and puffy. I tried it on my arm and got a red reaction so ceased to trial it on my face- however, I did pass it onto my sister whose face is much less temperamental than mine and she loved it! The review as below is therefore hers: Texture: 9/10. Light and on the watery side, a really simple toner perfect for putting onto a cotton pad and wiping across the skin for a fresh feel. Before application, the texture is more watery but once applied on the face there is the slightest hint of sticky ness not in a bad way, but of the way that feels like your skin has been hydrated. Smell: 10/10. smells fresh like witch hazel toner, mint and cucumber- really good for mornings as it has been designed with the effect to “freshen” you up! Overall: personally both my sister and I prefer toners that hydrate only (as it is gentle enough for my sensitive skin), however my sister enjoyed that this had an almost cleansing feel to it as well as hydration. She did notice less white head pimples around the cheeks (from how hot and humid QLD gets) and pinpointed it to being this toner being the change.

I was really excited to try out this brightening clay mask! Like the range that biore released, it stays true to a fruity scent which is flavoured by papaya and yuzu lemon. As such, it comes off very citrus scented which if you’re a fan of, would smell really pleasant to you! Each tube has about 4-5 uses depending on how thick you usually apply your clay masks. I have had about 2 uses thus far and think there is plenty left in the packet for like 5-6 uses probably. I really liked this mask! Left it to set on my skin for about 10 minutes and then washed it off. It’s important to wash it off in the given time as it is a clay based mask so if you do not do so, they it cna drawn moisture out of your skin and dry it out. Anyways, so it definitely helped to refine my skin as I found that it took out some sebum and excess oils that I was producing since it’s now summer. I find that for several days after using this mask, my skin is less oily!

This exfoliator used little soft beads to gently exfoliate away dead skin. It smells really nice and fruity, which is in line with the rest of its range. Being of Yuzu, lemon and dragonfruit flavour, I would say it’s more of a citrus scent. The packaging is really fruity and fun! It would suit teenagers to use or young adults for when your skin is feeling/looking dull. Biore claims on the tube that you will see brighter skin in 1 week, which I think would be true if you aren’t already incorporating some kind of exfoliant into your skincare routine (like a chemical one that is BHA it AHA based). I used this about 2 times a week since my skin is sensitive so I don’t like to use physical scrubs too much. I found this good to add into my routine since we’re going into summer right now and the build up of sweat, oil and sunscreen means I need something at least weekly to scrub those hard layers off when chemical exfoliants just don’t cut it. This was definitely a gentle enough scrub for this job and I’ll happily repurchase it!

I love this cleanser! It smells really citrus-y and fresh like fruit so if you’re into that it’s a massive plus! I love washing my face with this cleanser in the morning as the smell is so refreshing and delicious. It’s very gentle on the skin so I don’t feel tight after using it. Cleanses well with just a bit of product and was easy to wash off. Foams up a bit but not too much so I didn’t find it drying which is good. I would say this is a pretty gentle and basic everyday cleanser. Haven’t used it for long enough to know if there are brightening effects to it as tbh cleanser isn’t really a product that sits on your face for long enough to produce that effect (versus serums with niancinimide and vitamin c.. etc which do brighten your face). However I find that the cleanser cleanses well without leaving residue such that ur skin feels clean after using it. Overall I would recommend this cleanser as a morning cleanser!

Hey ladies I was super excited but apprehensive to try this mascara before I applied for the trial as I have asian eyelashes (aka straight lashes) and for some odd reason, western branded mascaras tend to straight my lashes (even if i've curled them) once i've applied mascara. As in, with many brands, i've found that mascara will weigh down my eye lashes unless I'm using a Japanese or asian brand. Anyways, just a disclosure that it happened with this mascara as well- but for any asian ladies who also suffer from the same annoying straight lashes issue, the way I got around it was to use a white mascara base (I use this japanese branded one but i'm sure there are many on the market) and they not only elongate your lashes and add some volume, but it sets the shape of your lashes so you can still use excellent mascaras from western brands without worrying about your lashes going straight. So I did that and I really liked this mascara! But I decided to give it to my friend to trial as she's indian with lovely luscious and voluminous lashes which are (most importantly) already curled to begin with. This was her verdict: (+) Doesn't clump! (+) Can add multiple coats without worrying about it clumping, or having bits of mascara unattractively stuck to lashes (+) Volumn added can be adjusted by layer of coats since the brush is well controlled to allow for multiple coats (+) Long staying powder, didn't smudge after a night out onto her bottom lids which is important (-) Doesn't seem to be waterproof
