I am really grateful to have been able to trial the Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate Serum. The serum has a milky appearance and has a nice, light-weight texture. It absorbs really quickly into my skin, and within just a few days, left my complexion looking increasingly brighter, clearer, and more even. I also received quite a few comments noting that I looked more refreshed than usual! As someone who's skin can occasionally be quite dry, I do need to make sure that I use additional products to give my face the moisture it needs, applying a good moisturiser over the top as per the products directions. The scent is not overly strong, which is something that I appreciate! The serum bottle is absolutely genius, drawing and dispensing the perfect amount every time your twist the lid. The bottle feels really sturdy and of a quality that is not seen all to often these days. While I cannot travel due to the pandemic, the travel ability of a product is something quite important to me. I get the impression that this bottle would travel really well! I've really enjoyed using this serum and will continue to incorporate it into my skincare regime into the future.

This brush is shorter than other Nude by Nature brushes that I've used, and feel like this would be a good sized brush for travelling. The bristles are soft and sturdy, and I experienced no shedding - even when I washed it! The bristles had a nice density to them, and it made blending an absolute dream. Texturally speaking, the brush handle had a nice feel to it. Nude by Nature have always looked incredibly sophisticated and high-end, and this brush is no exception. Better yet, Nude by Nature brushes are also cruelty free and vegan! If I had to nitpick, the mineral brush didn't feel as nicely weighted as Nude by Nature's other brushes, perhaps due to the fact that it is shorter. Overall it's still a really lovely brush. I feel as though you can't go wrong when it comes to choosing a brush by Nude by Nature!

The Nude by Nature brushes look really sophisticated and high-end. The bristles are of a high quality, are of a nice density and are very soft. I experienced absolutely no shedding with this brush, even when I washed it. The handle has a really nice feel to it texturally. While the finishing brush is a longer brush, it is evenly weighted and makes both application and blending a breeze. I tried the finishing brush with both the mineral foundation and the translucent setting powder. It had no trouble applying the foundation evenly, blending my foundation really nicely. The brush was also light enough to apply translucent powder throughout the day without moving around my makeup underneath it. Powder pickup was fantastic, and I was easily able to control the amount of powder that I needed. If I accidentally picked up too much powder, I was easily able to tap off the excess back into the container. Overall I'm really impressed with this brush, and will be purchasing one for both my mum and sister!

I really liked this powder. I found that I only needed a light layer to even out my skintone. It was really easy to blend too. The product states that it is buildable to a heavy coverage, so I gave it a go. It certainly was buildable, however, as someone who's skin tends to lean a little on the dry side, I found it left my skin feeling dehydrated when I put on multiple layers. I couldn't detect a fragrance and I have not had a single blemish whilst using this powder. Like I mentioned on my previous review, this has to be my favourite loose powder dispenser to date. Not only is it pretty and sophisticated, it's also incredibly functional. It was really easy to control the amount of powder that I wanted to pick up either by bouncing my brush on the mesh dispenser lightly for a only a little powder, and a little harder for a decent amount of powder. Additionally you could just tip the powder onto the lid. As someone who (prior to Covid) travelled a lot, I also appreciate the cylinder that was built into the lid that stops ridiculous amounts of powder from dispensing during transportation. Overall, I really enjoyed this powder and would purchase this myself outside of the trial.

This powder was great for mattifying my nose in between lengthy zoom calls, usually only requiring one touchup during the day. I couldn't detect any fragrance and the powder was gentle on my skin. I've had absolutely no breakouts while using this product! Additionally, it was easy to blend and apply. I really appreciate the thought that has gone into the packaging with this translucent powder. As far as thoughtful packaging goes, this has to be my favourite loose powder dispenser to date. Honestly, I've become rather dubious when it comes to face masks miraculous claims to hydrate my rather lack lustre skin as of late. They always seem to contain and extortionate amount of chemicals and never really seem to live up to the hype. That's was so excited when the opportunity to trial this product arrived in my inbox. Naturally derived hydration from fruit enzymes, could it be true? I'm here to tell you that it is! This is the best face mask I have used in a very very long time and i've already ordered my mother (who has very dry skin) to go out and get one. My skin feels hydrated and fine lines are reduced. The effects also lasted significantly longer than most sheet masks i've used. This mask sadly loses a star for emphasising its biodegradability. While the mask is biodegradable (which I love), the packaging certainly isn't, and I think this can be a bit misleading to consumers who want to make the best choices for the environment but don't know what to look for. That being said, the packaging is recyclable but the packaging doesn't make that very clear. Overall it's a really great mask and i'll continue to purchase this product in the future.

I was lucky to have received the Lemonade Craze eyeshadow palette as part the trial team. The palette contains twelve warm toned eyeshadows, four of which are shimmery. All of the shades were buildable, which I love, and the range of colours meant that I could create a range of different looks. It was really easy to pop on the lighter shades for work, bringing the purse-friendly with me, and adding some of the bolder and darker colours to transition to the evening. The mattes in this palette do swatch patchy. Most of them blend out to a nice light wash with the exception of old fashioned and icepop, which just didn't want to work for me. My favourite colours to use were main squeeze and lemonade craze. The palette smelt really lovely when I first opened it, but after a few weeks of use just smells like sweet smelling baby powder. If you already have a decent collection of eyeshadows at home, I would probably give this palette a miss. However, if you're after some on-trend colours at a more budget friendly price point, this may just be the palette for you.

I'm really grateful to have received The Body Shop's 2018 Christmas Santa Sack as part of the Body Shop x Beauty Heaven event. As part of the trial I received the peppermint candy cane scented sack. The gift pack contains a 60ml shower gel, 30ml hand cream, 50ml softening body butter, and a 50ml exfoliating sugar body scrub all bundled together in a cute peppermint themed hessian sack. If you love the smell of peppermint then this one's for you! These products smell amazing and they're not overbearing. The body wash and sugar scrub scents are slightly stronger than that of the hand cream and body butter. The exfoliating sugar body scrub was by far my favourite product in the sack. It left my skin nice and smooth without being too abrasive. My skin felt refreshed and the scent lingered for a little while after use. I will definitely be heading back to The Body Shop to pick this product up in its full size. The hand cream didn't absorb as quickly as I would have liked, and as the type of person who is always doing something, this frustrated me a little bit as it stopped me from getting on with my day. That being said, the hand cream works wonderfully and left my hands nice and soft. Perfect for someone who has a little more patience than I do. The softening body butter didn't disappoint. If your familiar with The Body Shop's body butters - it's the same formula. Rich and creamy, it left my skin soft and hydrated all day. The shower gel cleansed my skin without drying it out. It is really gentle and has a nice, soft lather to it. As for the hessian bag, well that's been repurposed and now sits snuggly around the base of my mini Christmas tree. I think this would make a great Christmas present and would be happy to receive it as a gift myself. It would be perfect for Secret Santa gifts, stocking stuffers, or family and friends who travel a lot. Honestly, you cannot go wrong with The Body Shops Santa Sack gift bundles.

I have quite a sensitive scalp that most shampoos leave irritated. I've finally found one that doesn't! This shampoo left my scalp soothed and moisturised, clearing up the irritation and damage from my previous shampoo. It luckily left my ends frizz free too. I also really like the scent , which is always a plus, and it lingers for a few days afterwards. I would recommend others who have dry or sensitive scalps to give this a try!

There are not many mascaras that last an entire day without giving me massive pandas eyes. I thought that this product would be no exception, however, I was proved wrong from the very beginning. It literally lasted all day - working on the computer, intense pilates classes, being rained on - you name it, it survived! I'm a big fan of the wand, as it picks up every single lash. It separates them nicely, and leaves them evenly coated. The only downside is that the in-built curve doesn't quite work with my eye shape, resulting in certain parts of my eyelashes being quite voluminous, and other parts a little flat. Packaging is consistent with other Rimmel products and mascaras. I'm not the the biggest fan of bright colours, preferring sleek neutrals, but it's great if that's your thing. Recommended for those on a budget. I think I've found my new favourite drugstore mascara!
