As part of a BH trial, I received the Nivea anti-aging night cream. I used this in place of my usual night cream after my usual toner and serum, and don't notice a difference in my skin. Beate in mind my skin is barely 30 years old, so to gage it's preventative measures is difficult to do. It's a great heavier cream at night without being ultra greasy, but you do have to work it in. I find it helps maintain moisture in my skin overnight as heaters are on just before bed. In terms of its actives for anti-aging, the lack of retinol/retinoids and using natural ingredients I am not familiar with is a little dubious, so I wouldn't reach for this in future for targeted anti-aging. I also found that though the fragrance in it is pleasant, I wouldn't recommend it to those who are sensitive to fragrances in skincare.

I received this as part of the bh trial. Ever since the start of chilly Melbourne weather, heaters have been on on top of wearing masks, so my skin has been needing a thicker moisturising cream during the day so as not to dry up. I've found that this day cream is a great last step before sunscreen for the winter mask weather. It has a light fragrance to it which I wouldn't recommend to sensitive skin types. Seeing as it's an anti-aging cream, I didn't notice any difference to my skin in terms of plumping, but bear in mind my skin is barely a 30-year old's. Given it's thick cream consistency, it's definitely geared towards older, dryer skin types. I would advise to use this on top of active anti-aging serims applied beforehand to actually have a routine; the ingredients in this aren't known to be of any anti-aging capabilities (as far as I am aware).

Got this and been wearing it over the past 9 months in the colour Spun Sugar - I really love the soft velvet colour tint it gives my lips. It's definitely not going to last a heavy meal, and it it won't give sharp defined lips, but it's not meant to! The colour is a nice wash over my darker lips, but if you try to layer more over, it will get messy and too slippery. It's not meant to be worn opaquely. It's great for daily use, and re-application is no issue, since the produt is meant to be worn a little blurry and applied in a soft manner, rather than with sharp precision.

After a few reviews read read and watched online, thought why not try it? But I didn't want to pay for the small size. I took a big risk when I bought this in the jumbo 100mL size last year when Mecca offered it as an online exclusive size, thinking that worst case scneario if i didn't like it, I have others who I know are die-hards of this product I could give to. Turns out, I actually really like this face base, particularly during the colder winter Melbourne weather on my oily skin! It's smooth, allows my makeup to glide on nicely, it's not pore-clogging, and it melts right into the skin, even though it is quite thick. I think it's whipped to allow for this consistency. During the summer weather it still does just that, I just need to power a little more and use a little less. You really don't need a lot, as it is quite thick and spreads quite well. this jumbo size is gonna last at least 3 years from what I can see, as I've barely made it a dent in it! The only couple of gripes I have is that 1) the price is very high, hence why i forked out for the jumbo online exclusive, and 2) the fragrance is quite strong, and although I like the citrusy smell, it can get overpowering and those who are sensitive skin types need to avoid this.

I've been using Burt's Bees lip balms for a while now, but coming back after using the ultra-moisturising version of their lip balm made me hesitant about returning to the general moisturising balms. I got this in the local chemist warehouse in need of a lip balm replacement, and picked this up seeing as it was a trusted brand as well as a limited edition flavour. The first impression is that it was a little hard to apply on my lips, but again, with all Burt's Bees lip balms, they need to be warmed up first on your lips before you can apply all over the lips. The smell is delicious, and not going to lie, it tastes a little sweet too! It keeps my lips moisturised at night, and during the day as well. Would definitely repurchase for the smell and taste alone!

I tried the Jurlique Moisture Plus rare rose lotion as part of bh trial. I tried the lotion on my face and neck, both morning and night, and with and without the matching serum. As my skin is a lot drier in winter and in need of extra moisture (all the running heaters indoors), I thought that this might be a good lotion for the day, and potentially at night. The serum at first impression was that it was heavily scented, almost perfume-y. I do not have sensitive skin, but I would err on the side of caution if I was, as although this is listed as suitable. Anything this scented could be too much. I found that this lotion did not work as well for night - it was not moisturising enough for me to use at night, and felt too light on application. The ingredients list didn't indicate any special moisturising factors or ingredients which warranted the moisture plus name. I preferred to use it in the morning under my makeup, as it was light and absorbed quickly into the skin.

I received the Jurlique Moisture Plus Rare rose serum as part of a bh trial for winter. My skin tends to become drier in winter, particularly when heaters are constantly on inside. I used this under the Jurlique face lotion, and then put makeup over. I also trialled this on my face and neck for night. I found that the serum was nice to apply, but did not do much for my skin. I felt that it was not as hydrating as I'd liked, particularly at night. In layering the lotion, then makeup over the serum, I found that it tended to pill if I was too vigorous with my makeup application. This also occurred when I applied a different cream over the serum. This is definitely a serum you want to leave a couple of minutes to allow to settle into the skin before layering over other products. I also noticed that although it written on the box as suitable for sensitive skin, this is still a heavily floral scented serum, so I'd err on side of caution here. As a hydrating serum, I would have expected the serum to contain some hyluronic acid or some form of known hydrating ingredients, but there weren't any listed in the ingredients.

I received this as part of the bh trial team. This mask is recommended to be used in a simplified Korean skin care night routine - therefore makeup removal, cleanse, tone, serum, mask then moisturise and lastly, facial oils. I placed my serum after the mask, as I'd forgotten to put it on beforehand. The mask itself is cooling when applied, and doesn't have a scent - great for those who are fragrance-averse or are sensitive to scents on their skin. It is quite thin and wet, so unfolding it takes some care. The mask comes out black, and seeping in detoxifying goodness.Upon application the mask fit my round face fairly well, but the nose area could be more generous in coverage. Could it be because it was made in Korea? I'm not sure how it will fit on those with longer faces. It is very much a Korean face mask, in that it is a thin sheet soaked in the mask. It had a cooling sensation, as the mask was applied cold. It stayed put on my face well, so there was no need to lay back to keep the mask on. I was able to continue my night upright on my laptop. I left it on for an just over an hour, rather than the recommended 15min, so that my skin could absorb as much of the serum on the mask as possible. After removing the mask and patting the remaining serum into my skin, my skin felt calmed and hydrated. Existing pimples were less red, but I won't say it's the go-to mask for calming redness. Overall, it's a solid mask for winding down at the end of a long and hard day. At the given price, it's average price for a mask compared to other Korean face masks, and all skin types can use it.

I purchased these to try alongside the other products within the matte clay makeup range from Body shop late last year. I noticed right off the bat that I fell between two colours - 34 and 26. For reference, my skin tone is within foundation shade range of M.A.C NC35-42. The concealer in colour 26 is too light for me in summer and comes across as chalky, whilst the 34 has pink undertones rather than yellow undertones, which I need. The formula itself is similar to theatre makeup, so you best believe this concealer is thick! Use sparingly with a concealer brush, as it can look cakey when applied roughly. You will also need to powder down to maintain longevity throughout the day, particularly if you have oily skin. I don't recommend this at all for understanding the eyes as the formula is too thick, but it's great for covering acne discolouration on the cheeks and forehead. Anywhere where there is a flat surface it can lay on is fine but avoid delicate areas or areas that move a lot on the face.

I purchased this late last year to try as a foundation powder, as well as a setting powder. Definitely better to use as a foundation powder, I love that I can use this as is over concealer for a light face of makeup, and because the colour I got (moluccan nutmeg 55) is slightly darker than my skin tone, it gives me a lovely warmth to my face if my foundation shade is a little too light for me. Best used over just concealer or very light foundation coverage, as it can get cakey. I like it as it slowed me down from becoming shiny and oily during the day, due to the matte formula and clay used in the powder. That being said, the Body Shop really need to expand their shade range. I am a MAC NC35-42 skin tone, and I shouldn't be the darkest shade in your powders. The colours in between medium and dark are scarce and run red rather than yellow, whilst there is a lot more choice on the lighter spectrum. If you are after powder foundation that is vegan without any nasties, and fit within the shade range available, I recommend. Points lost for the lack of shade range though.
