The best part of this product is the musk lolly scent. The next best part is the cute packaging. This brand has clearly put a lot of thought into their products, and I think they look nice on the shelf or in the bathroom. The dry shampoo is a powder that comes out through a pump mechanism. The powder is white, and so you need to rub it in a bit to get rid of the white roots look. I found this method of applying the powder a little bit cumbersome, and I prefer the delivery method of a pressurised aerosol. I also lost a lot of the product all over my sink and floor, it was a bit messy with powder going in all directions. The dry shampoo is very dry! My scalp felt a little itchy and very dry after applying it. I also had a lot of difficulty styling my hair, as it had become very stiff and straw like. Putting my hair into a ponytail took a lot of effort, and it didn’t look perfect. Better than an oily look for sure, but I felt this product was just a little bit too drying. Maybe this product is better suited to someone with really oily hair. It is sad that it was too dry for me, because I really do love how it smells!

Scalp care is something that I have just recently started paying attention to. I have in the past had some dryness on my scalp, and sometimes from the itching my scalp developed some sores. I had meant to do something about it, but when I first looked into this, there weren’t a lot of scalp products on the market. This scalp scrub does the trick of getting right in there and exfoliating the roots and skin. It dissolves easily, which is good news because once something disappears into my scalp it can be a real struggle to get it out again. The salt grains are not too big or sharp, they are a good size for exfoliating and I did not have any discomfort using this scrub even with my slightly sensitive scalp. There were two little concerns I had with this scrub. The first is that this would not be compatible with certain hair treatments because of the main ingredient being Sodium Chloride. It doesn’t affect me, though I do intend to get a keratin straightening treatment done at some point. The second concern is the scent, which is just a personal thing but I get very sick of peppermint. It is a shame because the other two products that I have trialled from this brand have a wonderful musk lolly scent. Those are my only concerns, nothing too major but it might make me think twice about purchasing.

I have trialled the Anti-breakage hair mask from Grow. The mask has a lot of natural ingredients, and most importantly for a hair product it is both sulfate free and silicone free. The packaging of the mask is cute, with a pastel green design. It looks nice in the bathroom. The product is in a large sachet however, and so it doesn’t stand upright in the shower. It is a little annoying, but better for the environment this way. The mask smells nice, like the candy musk sticks. It is quite thick and needs to be spread out and a bit of water added, so that it can be more easily applied to hair. After using the mask a few times, I notice my hair felt a little more hydrated and my hair did not seem to be breaking much. However, this mask did not control frizz or flyaways. It doesn’t claim to, however that is usually the main feature I look for in a hair mask. It did not make my hair shiny either, which again is a little disappointing. My hair felt soft however.

I picked up this product in the smaller size to try it out, because the packaging was so appealing and it seemed like I was seeing this everywhere. The product is good, it has a very smooth feel to it and it glides on like a dream. The coverage is very good also, although I have not found the staying power to be all that good. The lightweight plastic tube makes this an excellent option for throwing in a purse or overnight bag, so I preferentially bring this if I need to travel. My main gripe is the lack of shades available. Maybe because I picked the mini size there were only a couple of shades? I went with Medium which is a little too dark for my skin, while the lighter shades were much too pale for me. In the full sizes they seem to have some more options at least, and I would like to try the 'illumination' version as well. Bit pricey though.

I have hesitated in writing a review for this product, as I keep telling myself to give it a bit more time to see if I really like it or really dislike it. But the only thing time has done is leave me sitting on the fence. On the one hand, I am not a big fan of physical sunblocks, and especially the dreaded white cast. I get that a lot with this product, and the tinted formula (which I like) is not enough to offset this. I consciously have to reach for a darker foundation to try to offset the ashen paleness after applying it liberally on my face. On the other hand, the product works very effectively to keep me from getting sunburned, which is especially important since these days I have been using a lot of exfoliating peels. The major bonus however is that this product doesn't irritate my skin. Every single chemical sunscreen, sooner or later, starts to make my skin burn horribly (not sunburn, just reaction). So then, because I cannot find any better sunscreens, I just keep coming back to this one. It is a steady, faithful old workhorse.

I suffer from skin which is naturally dry and which can get quite sensitive, especially for any product that goes near my eyes. I have been trialling the Avene Soothing Radiance Mask in conjunction with the Revitalizing Nourishing Cream; both products are specifically for sensitive skin. I have used the mask a few times a week when I am fresh out of the shower and my skin has absorbed a lot of water. The mask helps to seal in the moisture and stop evaporation from my skin. I can tell this works effectively since the next day my face is softer and does not feel tight. I prefer using the mask because the smell is pretty faint and the mask is not so thick. The packaging is also better and more portable and hygienic since it comes in a tube. The product sinks in quickly and it does not seem to matter how long it is left on for as it is very gentle on the skin. When I wash it off it leaves a clean feeling and my skins feels relaxed and moist. It is suggested not to wash it off but I felt like it was necessary. Using these Avene products has left my skin feeling better than it has in a very long time. My face is smoother and clear, and it looks more radiant. I recommend these products for people with sensitive skin and also those who suffer from dryness.

The skin on my face is naturally dry and has been a bit sensitive lately with the changing seasons. Fortunately, I have been given the opportunity to trial the Revitalizing Nourishing Cream from Avene. I have never used anything from this brand before, so I enjoyed not only trialling this but also reading all about the brand in the accompanying information brochure. The jar is pretty big and heavy, it is not something you would necessarily want to take on holiday although at 50ml it does fit within the airline allowances for liquids. There is perhaps too much plastic that goes into the jar and it doesn’t seem to be too environmentally friendly, however the jar is recyclable so that is positive. This face cream is a rich cream, which I prefer applying at night time but which can also be used during the day. It has a cold cream feel to it, and the smell is like fresh laundry or baby powder, which is not my favourite. The smell quickly fades however. The result is an enduring feeling of softness and hydration which lasts for several hours. I have noticed some really positive smoothing effects, and some redness on my face has calmed down since using this cream. My eyes which are very sensitive to fragrances don’t seem to mind this cream at all which is nice and confirms that the brand is committed to providing products for sensitive skin. This is a good face cream that lives up to its hydration claims.

I dont use a lot of styling products in my hair, so I don't have too much to compare this one to. However I did find that it was pretty easy to use, and didn't make my hair crispy the way hair spray does. I have been using to keep flyaways in place and just make my hair look a bit more orderly. It does a pretty good job of this. It is smooth and easily spreadable, but also a bit sticky. The scent is a beautiful coconut tropical smell, quite nice but not too overpowering. I saw these at the store the other day, I guess they are aimed more at men but I think its fine to use as a woman.

I have been making an effort to make my hair look better, since I realised a few months ago that my hair is very fluffy, in a dry and broken kind of way. I have used a lot of hair treatments in the shower, and then finding my hair is still dry I also try to use a lot of products that are leave in. I have had some bad experiences with hair oils in the past. Mostly the issue has been that they make my hair greasy, transfer onto my pillow and make my face greasy, and some hair oils are too thick they don't soak in well. I also find hair oils difficult to wash out of my hair. This product was so different to the other ones! My hair felt nourished and soft, both at the time and the next day. My hair was not weighed down or greasy. My hair felt much softer. And perhaps the best part is how nice it smells!

To begin with, I have a very similar product already that I have been using for some time, which is the smaller square version of this facetowel that comes in a pack of four. So I knew before even trying it that I was going to love this bigger sized makeup remover towel from Manicare because of how much I love the smaller version! This is not just as good as the small ones, but better! These are really effective at removing makeup! They are incredibly soft and feel nice against my skin. Even after washing multiple times, they are much more soft and fluffy than similar products. I like the big size of this one. I cannot stand those tiny round face makeup remover cloths that are popular, they are too small and fiddly to use easily. This one is so large, I can use both hands to move it around my face, and get my face sparkling clean in a very short amount of time. I love the colour too! It is hard to lose it, since it is hot pink!!!
