I must admit I have been neglecting my feet - I have been a little too busy with life and weekly foot spas and DIY pedicures have become a thing of the past. Fortunately, this heel balm has saved my feet - there has been too many long days on my feet and prolonged wear of winter boots has not been good for my heels. I used this product daily and not twice a day as directed on the packaging. Sometimes I would sleep in socks after applying the balm. It took 3 to 4 days to really start seeing the changes so I do recommend giving it some time to work its magic, especially if you have a build-up of thickened heels and feet. I like urea as an ingredient in moisturisers and have also used 10% urea face cream in the past so I know the ingredients list checked out. While the product is a 'balm', it was really easy to apply and I did not experience the heaviness and waxy/stickiness commonly associated with foot balms. I will keep using this product until I resume my weekly foot spa and pamper session!

Sometimes you just need a basic, effective body moisturiser that will do the job without any fuss. I keep a small selection of body creams, lotions and butters to add some variety and excitement to my post-shower ritual ritual but I find myself turning to basic moisturisers for day time - when I need a lotion that does not clash with perfume. This lotion has been a solid workhouse for my winter skin - upon application, I see 100% improvement in my skin's appearance and hydration and with daily use, my skin is dramatically better. The pump bottle is handy and convenient, although I wouldn't mind a squeeze tube format either - it would make it easier to travel with. I like this product so much that I am about to purchase another one to keep at the end of trip facility at work - how is that for an endorsement? I love making beauty discoveries through Beautyheaven!

I am quite fussy when it comes to primers and have only ever really committed to Laura Mercier, Hourglass and Urban Decay. I live in Brisbane where three quarters of year is filled with heat and humidity. Balancing moisturiser, sunscreen and make-up is no easy feat and requires only using the best of the best. I always use primer first, before any other products and this product filled in the gaps and smoothed any imperfections on the surface of my skin. It helped products on top glide easily for a smooth finish. I always finish my complexion routine with a power to set everything in and the primer worked well in making sure everything stayed in place. I always use a setting spray for a dewy finish and to absorb excess powder. I really liked the natural and hydrating ingredients - it felt more like skincare than make-up. The citrus-like botanical scent is slightly strong but does not linger after application. A tube should last a while too. Pros: easy application, smooth flawless finish, skin-loving ingredients, comfortable to wear Cons: scent was strong for me but not really an issue

Oh wow, this is the surprise hero product of the trial. I didn't expect to like this treatment so much as I am generally quite sceptical and cautious with hair products - my hair is coarse and thick and my scalp can be quite temperamental depending on the weather. I used this treatment as direct - the spray worked well - although I may have gone overboard a few times (because I love the scent or what I call aromatherapy) - the scent is truly relaxing and refreshing. It almost has a cooling/tingling effect on the scalp and just lifts freshly washed hair to another level. I can't comment on its claims for thickening hair as I have only used it for 2 weeks. However, even by the end of the day, my scalp still feels clean and fresh instead of heavy and greasy. I am definitely keen to try other Grow products! Pros: effective spray-bottle, amazing scent, fresh feeling after drying and styling Cons: none, but too soon to evaluate on effectiveness at thickening hair

I love Burt's Bees and I was excited to try this lip gloss - I have stopped looking at lip products due to the constant use of face masks so it was a great opportunity to revisit lip colours and have a bit of fun. I received this product in Pucker which is a lovely raspberry pink/red. The texture reminds me of jelly and isn't stick at all when applied - how far we have come from Lancome Juicy Tubes! As my lips are naturally darker, this shade did not add more colour, and instead provided a my lips but better gloss and shine. I liked the glow - it still looked natural. Best of all, the product was extremely comfortable to wear - the gloss stayed in place without shifting minus all the stickiness you would expect. I wasn't fazed by the scent - it was lightly scented with sweet notes. Pros: great price, super comfortable to wear, non-overpowering scent, natural finish Cons: I still don't get to wear it often enough due to face masks

I have only used Weleda's famous Skin Food and was excited to trial a 24-hour hydrating moisturiser. My skin type is dry and dehydrated skin prone to excessive dryness in winter. The cream is lightweight and thin and initially I was concerned it would not be heavy enough for its 24-hour hydration claims. The cream absorbs well with a sticky/tacky finish - it loses a few points for this however, as I only used this at night, I did not have to care too much about how it felt on my skin as I slept. It sort of reminded me of sleeping masks and other overnight products designed to lock-in extended hydration. Weleda is known for their botanical formulations and I enjoyed the light, clean and herbaceous scent. I much prefer this over heavily scented products. Pros: clean, natural formulation, lovely fresh botanical scent, long lasting hydration Cons: sticky feeling which may bother some, 30ml tube seems like a small size for a face cream

As I get older, my skin concerns centre around age spots, sun spots and pigmentation. This means I am always trying to find a good serum with active ingredients like vitamin C. We are very lucky to have so many natural beauty brands available at affordable price points and I love discovering skincare gems like this serum. 5% vitamin C seems to be the sweet spot for me - from past experience, vitamin C serums can be quite irritating - almost to the point of drying - and sometimes don't mix well with other products or oxidise too quickly with the telltale orange tinge. I have been able to use this serum daily (only at night) without any detriment to my current skin routine. It absorbs well and I notice that I wake with a hydrated glow. It is a little too early to tell if the serum will fade my pigmentation or make them disappear but I am hopeful and more importantly, I will persevere because I am already seeing subtle positive changes. Pros: suitable for dry skin, comfortable to apply, absorbs quickly without interfering with other products, great price point, natural scent (orange), great ratio of vitamin C Cons: dropper bottle inconsistent in dispensing product (although it may just be my bottle?) I am definitely interested in trying more in the brightening range!

Collagen is all the rage - it is almost becoming quite hard to avoid it in protein shakes, snack bars and skincare. I am not one to choose gummies as the delivery vehicle for supplements and I somehow always prefer to swallow a pill or capsule over chewing gummies. The berry flavoured gummies are pleasant enough although there is a 'supplement aftertaste'. The best way to describe it is a very mild fish/mineral taste. I suppose it is probably the most pleasant and efficient way in getting vitamin C and collagen. The formulation is deliberately synergistic and I have always read that collagen is best taken orally because collagen molecules are too large to be absorbed by the skin. I did feel the caloric count was a little high per serve (54 calories for those who care to know) and I am interested to see how long to take the gummies to see noticeable effects. I want the benefits for connective tissue and things such as bioavailability is still relatively unknown for many supplements.

I haven't coloured my hair for over a decade and have embraced my natural hair colour (black). However, as I approach my late 30s, I am starting to see the appearance of greys I feel the need to be more productive with using hair colour touch-ups. This product is designed for convenience and the applicator was quite easy to use on my straight hair. No issues there. As someone who is generally quite low maintenance with hair (I wash every 3 days), it was harder to get around using a hair product that needs to be washed off before bed time. This became a bit more fussy and high-maintenance for my liking. I will most likely continue to use a product like this for special occasions - perhaps when I know I have to make a presentation or other important work and social events. It is just a little impractical for my regular routine. I am hopeful that technology will improve with these types of products and that there will be some amazing breakthroughs in the next 5 to 10 years.

I have a love/hate relationship with rosehip oils - sometimes my skin will just drink it up and other times I feel like the oil is doing nothing and all I am left with is the greasy feel and not-so-pleasant smell. I have heard good things about Glow Lab although have never tried their products. This is another affordable green and natural skin care company and I am glad for the opportunity to try. The ingrdients list looked very promising and I actually prefer a rosehip oil that is comprised of a blend of quality ingredients rather than a pure oil formulation. I used this as the last step in my routine to seal in all the other layers of serums and moisturisers. I already do something similar on a regular basis with pure vitamin E so this product was actually a lighter but equally effective treatment. On lazy nights, I would just blend a few drops of this oil with a moisturiser of my choosing. I look forward to using it more as we approach the colder months and I hope to try more Glow Labs. My skin is always expected to be flaky and dry and I hope continued use with this oil will minimise the seasonal changes I experience. The dropper bottle is my preferred packaging and with such a reasonable price point, it can only be a win-win.
