I picked up "Petal" (rose pink) in November's Beautorium and I absolutely love it. I disagree with the description naming it as a rose pink, which I generally interpret as a mauvey my-lips-but-better pink. Petal is a bold pinky coral that sometimes borders on pinky red. It applies very smoothly with a glossy finish and medium-to-opaque colour in one stroke. I love this effortlessly elegant bold lip look for Summer, as I love a bright lip against slightly tanned skin but a painted on matte lip can look too heavy. When the gloss wears off it does leave behind some colour, though not to the extent of a Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain. I've also found that a little goes a long way. While I've used this a load since picking it up in the Beautorium the tip has barely worn down, which is odd given how soft the texture is! My only problem with the product is that extreme heat may cause the product to melt and go mushy. While the tip of mine hasn't smushed yet, product is starting to goop up around the sides. I'd recommend putting it in the fridge prior to application.

I picked up Vibrant Pink (a hot blue based pink) and Couture Blush (a wearable mauvey pink) on sale for a whopping $3.50 each at Priceline a few months ago. For $3.50 you can't expect too much, but I was pleasantly surprised! They're very pigmented and provide an opaque application in one swipe. They're creamy to apply and comfortable to wear, but because of this they don't last that long. I've never been able to get a lip colour to last more than an hour on me, so I never get my hopes up when it comes to longevity! The only thing that really irks me is that these need to be sharpened. I'd much prefer a wind up tip, because even though a sharpen-able pencil means you can get a pointy tip, it also means you invariably lose product in the sharpener.

I ran to the chemist and purchased this before a wedding, when I realised I'd misplaced my Duo Lash Glue and didn't have time to duck to a MAC counter to pick up more. I regret the purchase and will not be buying this lash glue again. The container is so small that it's easily lost, and it can become difficult to undo the cap when glue accumulates and dries around the rim. The glue itself never dried to a completely clear finish on me, so I found myself with blobs of half milky, half clear glue at the base of my individual lashes. Thankfully by the time I noticed it was dark and the ambient lighting at the wedding reception meant that nobody would notice - I just hoped nobody had looked at me in the hours beforehand and wondered what the blobs on my eyes were! I also found it more difficult to remove than my Duo Lash Glue. I usually use baby shampoo to remove eye makeup and any shadow, mascara and individual lashes just disappear within a few seconds. That wasn't the case with this glue - I had to scrub harder than usual at my eyes and even forcibly peel a few of the lashes off, which is both uncomfortable and makes me worry about causing fine lines from pulling at the delicate skin around the eyes. I will admit that the brush applicator is nice and I imagine that it would make it easy to apply glue along the lash band of a pair of strip or demi lashes, but the formula is lacking and the size of the container may make it difficult to grip the wand. I think if I'm going to go with a wand applicator lash glue in future I'll try out the Revlon one. REPSONSE FROM MANICARE: We're sorry to hear this. The Glameyes lash glue is a latex free formulation which could be why you may have had a different experience to glue with latex. Some people are allergic to latex which is why Glameyes offers a latex free alternative. In terms of removal of lashes, we recommend you use a gentle eye makeup remover. We appreciate your feedback.

When I initially purchased the waterproof formula I HATED it. It was so wet, took ages to dry, and instantly smudged under my eyes the moment I started sweating (which frankly, is whenever I step out the door in Queensland). However, after a couple weeks the texture dried down to a more workable consistency. Before it dries down the stumpy bristles will do nothing but clump your lashes together into big black blobs that take ages to set. But once it's dried down a little the stumpy plastic bristles really grab onto the lashes and add both volume and length. I find it plays really nicely with other mascaras too. I had samples of Benefit's They Real and Bad Gal Lash, and decided I didn't like either mascara on its own. So I started layering them with Covergirl Lash Blast (I started with They're Real, then when that tube ran out I switched to Bad Gal) and loved the effect. I'd use the Benefit product to add a thin first layer to the lashes, almost like a primer. I'd then use Lash Blast to go in and really coat every lash, pulling them up and out for definition *and* volume. I'd then go in with another thin coat of Benefit, and finish it off with a final coat of Lash Blast to further lift and define. I would definitely repurchase this again, and have picked up a hint on Youtube that you can leave the cap unscrewed a little for an hour and then it'll reach that perfect optimal consistency.

I have to begin this review by saying that I have acne-prone, congested problematic skin. It barely responds to the contraceptive pill, and can generally only be beaten into submission with a healthy dose of Mario Badescu's Drying Lotion. So if you've got normal to combo skin and rarely break out, take my review with a grain of salt. I purchased this a few weeks ago to use in tandem with my Mario Badescu Glycolic Foaming Cleanser. My skin was feeling more congested than usual, with loads of little blocked pores and pimples that never truly came to a head. I've been alternating between the Mario Badescu and this in my shower each night. It leaves the skin feeling smooth and fresh, and the Mandarin scent is refreshing - so much so that this would actually be best used in the morning as a pick me up. I feel like it helps to reduce oil and leaves my skin feeling revitalised, but it lacks the strength to deal with my problem breakouts. I imagine it'd do a better job at clearing breakouts for people with normal to combo skin, but I've seen no visible improvement in my acne since using it.

When these were first released, I bought "Tokyo" sight unseen from an online American retailer. It arrived and I totally regretted the decision. I'll admit that my opinion of the product is biased as I ended up hating the shade. The online shade descriptions and computer generated swatches were so inaccurate; I was expecting a rosey pink and wound up with a cotton candy baby pink that not even Barbie could wear. It's so light and white-based that I truly can't imagine a skintone that could pull this off on its own. The texture really didn't do the colour any favours. Imagine a pale cotton candy pink that even women in the 80s would've been scared to wear. Now imagine that in a POWDER finish, almost like icing sugar on the lips. Yeah, it was rank. It was uncomfortable to wear and unflattering to look at, and could only be salvaged by applying a darker pink gloss on top - which I feel defeats the purpose of purchasing a *matte* lip product! It's sat in my drawer unused ever since. I tell myself that I'll use it up one day by pairing it with a dark gloss, but I never do. I'm sure the other colours may be more flattering, and may even have a slightly more comfortable formula, but I'm not willing to spend money to try them out.

I absolutely love these as eyeshadow bases! I'd never use them alone as cream eyeshadows or with no primer, but I love them to enhance the vibrancy and staying power of powder eyeshadows. I have Jumbo Pencils in Milk (creamy white), Cottage Cheese (shimmery sheer off white), Black Bean (creamy black), Rust (metallic rusty red), Iced Mocha (metallic taupe), Yellow (creamy yellow) and Strawberry Milk (metallic light pink). I apply my eyeshadow primer and smooth a little over the lid and/or lower lashline, then apply my powder shadow on top. If you apply too much they'll crease like mad regardless of your primer and powder shadow, but use a minimal amount and they'll boost the vibrancy and longevity of your shadow. I also love using Milk and Black Bean on the waterline with a pointed liner brush. I find they have decent staying power on the waterline when used alone, or you can add a powder shadow on top. I used to love using Milk on my waterline with a bright shadow on top for a pop of colour. My only qualm is that they can be a little hard to sharpen. You'll need to use a double pencil sharpener with the larger hole, but even then the barrel is plastic so they don't sharpen like a regular pencil.

I love baby shampoo for removing my makeup at the end the day. It dissolves even the most stubborn mascara and foundation, and because it's formulated for babies it doesn't overly irritate the eyes if you happen to get a bit in your eye. I won't lie - it's not the most pleasant feeling in the world to get baby shampoo in your eye, but it hurts a lot less than regular shampoo! I also love baby shampoo to deep clean my makeup brushes. I'll wet the brush under the tap, squeeze some baby shampoo into my hand and swirl the brush around to work up a lather. If the brush requires a little more work to clean (like foundation brushes, or brushes stained by bright eyeshadow) I'll wet a cloth, squeeze some baby shampoo onto it, and swirl the brush around on the cloth.

I purchased this after losing my tube of Duo lash glue and can't really fault it. It dries down much like the Duo glue and hangs around just as well. I use it primarily with individual lashes and haven't experienced any issues, though I obviously can't speak for its wear with strip lashes. It dries mostly clear, but I personally prefer to run black liquid liner over any lines of glue to camouflage them further.

I received a sample size of this in a set from PinchMe several months ago. It did what it said on the tin: removed dead skin cells and made my skin feel a little smoother than it had before. However, I have congested and very acne-prone skin that's difficult to tame. I've been on the pill and used heavy duty skincare and thus far it's proven resistant. So while this did make my skin feel a little nicer, I'm not going to tell you that I stepped out of the shower and thought "Whoa, my skin is glowing and so clear now!" It's definitely a nice step in my routine, but I've never been bowled over by an exfoliator. Maybe people with normal to combo skin tones will notice a more drastic difference! I'd repurchase it if I ran out of an exfoliator, purely because I'm familiar with it and it did what it says on the tin.
