I will be honest with my review - I struggled to use this product on my face due to the smell. It reminded me of soap (or more specifically- bubble mixture in the tubes you played with as a kid) which I couldn't get past. I has hoped that the smell would go away after it had been on the skin for a little but it didn't. That being said I did use it on my neck and chest for 2 weeks. I found the consistency to be that of a normal serum, but that paired with the dropper bottle style packaging made it easy to overuse this product - I would have preferred a pump with a measured "dose". The first 30 seconds or so the product is a little sticky but that goes away as it absorbs. I didn't notice any improvements or changes to my skin during the time I used the product. (I was also testing the Retinol in this range so I am glad that I tested it in 2 different areas to get an accurate feel for the products individually) I do like that the bottle is see through so you can see when you need to replace it but the dropper doesn't reach the bottom of the bottle so you would end up pouring out the last into your hand (again wasting it)

I have been using retinol for 2 years now and was excited to try this product as it is a slightly higher percentage than what I'm currently using. For anyone who has not used retinol before - TAKE IT SLOW! Use this twice a week and gradually increase as I for I was a little more sensitive to over products in my routine after using this for a few night ( my sunscreen and Vitamin C serum were the biggest issues I found, even though they are used in the morning and retinol at night) The texture was exactly what you would expect of a serum, but I found that the thin consistency of the serum and the dropper style packaging meant that it became VERY easy to dispense too much product. I would have preferred for this to be in a pump style bottle. After a week of using this nightly I did notice a little improvement with my pigmentation (acne scar marks - mainly red but some darker) but I also did notice that my skin became oilier than usual and I began getting a few small breakouts that was affecting the texture of my skin.

I have been using retinol products for several years now and was excited to see what Olay had done with their range. The eye cream is moderately nourishing, certainly wouldn't say it is heavy, which will be to counteract the fact that Retinoids are usually drying. I did find that this product had a strong smell, although it does say fragrance free. I wouldn't say that I have particularly sensitive eyes but within 15 minutes of using this eye cream I did notice my eyes were a little itchy. As with any retinol product this is for night time use only! And more importantly if you are not willing to use eye creams with an SPF during the day and also a sunscreen every day then there is no point even bothering with a retinol. At $60 I do believe that there are better eye creams on the market with far greater hydration. But if you are in your 30s and wanting to start on a Retinol then this could be gentle enough (as it is only a low %) to get you started. I would not recommend this for dry or more mature skin (despite it being marketed towards that age group) BRAND RESPONSE: Hi Cynful, thank you for your feedback. Firstly, nude by nature has improved the packaging of their powders and I’m loving it. The look of the packaging now lines up with the rest of their range with the rose gold lid, and it is quite pretty. The inside of the lid now stops and loose powder from spilling into the lid and giving you a surprise when you open it next time. However the downside is the new internal soft netting allows too much product onto the bristles of your brush. If you have combination or oily skin, or if you are in a humid climate the finishing powder will be an important purchase if you want the nude by nature foundations (both the liquid and the mineral powder) to have all day lasting powder, but for the price there are certainly other finishing or setting powders that do just as good at giving you long lasting makeup results but for far less

I have used the nude by nature brushes both personally and professionally for years. The finishing brush is number 5 in the brush range and is made up from very soft synthetic fibers. This brush has a nice dome shape and longer bristles to the mineral (number 11) brush which allows you to apply the finishing powder without moving the foundation underneath it. It also makes a great blush brush. My main issue with this product (as with all the brushes in this range) is not the brush itself but with the packaging. Both the cap and base / lid are made from plastic that is unable to be recycled (or at least has no recycling logo on it) and while I do understand the need for this to be made secure from tampering in a retail setting, I do wish it wasn’t then also wrapped in another layer of plastic. Also, cleaning instructions should be included in the insert to ensure the best hygiene practices are maintained.

I have used the nude by nature mineral brushes for years as my powder brush and I LOVE them. The mineral brush is number 11 in the brush range and is made up of densely packed synthetic fiber bristles which is perfect for a mineral foundation. The firm packed bristles make building up coverage of the foundation very quick and easy, however it is soft enough to also use as a blush brush. My main issue with this product is not the brush itself but with the packaging. Both the cap and base / lid are made from plastic that is unable to be recycled (or at least has no recycling logo on it) and while I do understand the need for this to be made secure from tampering in a retail setting, I do wish it wasn’t then also wrapped in another layer of plastic. Also, cleaning instructions should be included in the insert to ensure the best hygiene practices are maintained.

The new packaging is not only beautiful with its rose gold lid but the new shape of the inner lid means the loose powder doesn’t spill or gather in the lid, like it use to. However I am not sure how easy it would be to get all of the powder out towards the end. There is a new soft netting instead of the older style hard plastic dispenser, however I did find I ended up with a lot of product on my brush. The foundation has not changed as far as I could tell. It’s a buildable mineral foundation to a medium coverage, and is suitable for use over a liquid foundation. I used the light colour which has a yellow toned base. It has an spf 15 rating in Australia. My main issue with this foundation is that not long lasting. Within 4hrs, with my combination skin type, the powder was no longer matte and after 6hrs it had begun to shift or slide on my skin, which was fairly noticeable.

Nude by nature has always done amazing brushes, and this liquid foundation brush is no exception. Cruelty-free, synthetic fibres mean that this brush (and all of Nude by Natures products) are PETA certified. Dark bristles make it easy to see how much product you have picked up, but also will hide those delightful stains that all brushes get after they have been used a few times (despite cleaning them frequently). This is a firm bristled brush, not a lot of bend, which means you can use it in swiping motions or also dabbing, to build up extra coverage where needed. The handle length and size is comfortable and the overall look of the brush is sleek and simple. Despite what the Nude by Nature website says, I use an unfragranced alcohol (usually Isocol) to clean my brushes as water will eventually break down the glue holding the hairs in, which will cause them to fall out and you will be needing to replace.

I am so lucky to get to be part of the trial teams for products, so thank you BH! If you are blessed with skin that doesn't need much concealing than you are in luck, as this Nude by Nature concealer is very sheer. Myself however needs something a little more heavy duty for under the eyes. The texture (like the foundation) is quite sticky/tacky for lack of a better description and while it sat nicely under the eyes and didn't draw attention to my laughter lines, i did have to set it with a powder or it was going to go slipping down my face. Living in a hot and humid part of Queensland, I'm not sure that this concealer would last all day, i think you could easily sweat it off. I found applying with my fingers the best way to build coverage as a brush was just swiping it away, but had to set immediately with a powder. The size is also a concern for me - under 6mls of product isn't going to last very long.

Thank you for letting me try this product in your trial team, however...........I'm afraid this foundation doesn't get my tick of approval. They aren't lying when they call it sheer, there is zero coverage so you may as well just leave your moisturiser as the last step. I live in a very hot and humid climate in central Queensland and this foundation was sticky. Even as i was trying to apply it (i tried with foundation brush, stippling brush and beauty blender) it was just lifting off or moving around - but again it was so sheer that it was hard to tell where I had even put it. Even with the Nude by Nature primer, i couldn't get this to be successful. The texture being so tacky as well i would 100% have to put a powder over the top to set it or it would just look like a shiny greasy mess on my face, and putting a powder on it made it almost like a claggy paste. Also when i opened the foundation the screw top part (not the lid but the part with the pump) wasn't on tight enough and loads of foundation leaked throughout the box - which wouldn't be ideal if you had purchased it and lost 5ml of product before opening. The Luminous Sheer Liquid Foundation does have a light coverage with a dewy finish, so we are sorry to hear it wasn’t the coverage you were looking to achieve. It sounds like one of our other foundations would be more suited to your needs, like the Natural Mineral Cover Foundation, which provides easy, buildable coverage to even out complexion, cover redness and pigmentation.
