I'm glad I got the opportunity to try this product as part of the Trial Team as it's something I have seen on the shelves but not really considered purchasing. As a dry shampoo devotee I appreciate the simplicity of a spray and brush product and Magic Retouch delivered on this. Similar to dry shampoo the key is not spraying it too close to your head, as other reviewers have noted a good distance is at least 10 cm. Any overspray can be taken care of with a makeup wipe. The product provided great coverage and was easy to blend into my hair so the transition from the roots was subtle. The colour lasted a long time, I wash my hair every two days and it easily lasted until then. I did find that with the addition of hairspray (my regular styling product) things got a little "crunchy" but I'm sure a little bit more brushing should sort this out. RRP for this product is $15.95 for a 75 ml can which I considered to be a pretty good deal considering how handy it is and how much salon colouring costs. Five shades are available, from blonde to black but it would be nice to have something with a bit more red in it to match auburn shades.

I really enjoyed this opportunity to try this Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear foundation. Available in a huge range of shades, this foundation is presented in beautiful solid frosted glass bottle with the signature Lancome rose on the lid. The pump releases a small amount each time, allowing you to control the amount dispensed each time. Application of the foundation is easy, I used a dense buffing brush after applying a silicone based primer. The product spread nicely without streaking and a second pass in my more pigmented areas provided adequate coverage. I set the foundation with a light translucent setting powder which achieved a nice matte finish without cakiness. Pore coverage was good. Touted as 24 hour wear I found this foundation fell slightly short of that. I don't have particularly oily skin but by mid-afternoon I did have some wear showing on my forehead and nose in particular. I also wouldn't class this as medium to high coverage as I feel that applying it to achieve this level of coverage would result in an overly heavy finish. Even though this foundation is on the higher end of prices, the small amount needed provides great value for money.

I received this product as part of the Trial Team and was sent the shade "Cameo". The product is presented in a sturdy glass bottle with a cap that clicks on firmly to protect the pump dispenser. Texture wise the product is a lovely thick liquid which dispenses as an approximately pea sized amount per pump. A couple of pumps are sufficient to cover the whole face. I found the foundation applied well over primer and was buildable when applied with a brush. It can get cakey if over applied so less is more. It took quite a while to dry down but presented a nice matte finish once set. The lasting power of the this foundation is ok. I found it wore off my nose quite easily and by the end of the work day I was touching up with powder foundation. Things I didn't like - The smell in the bottle is quite strong (but does die down after application. The foundation does mildly oxidise after application which turned out ok for me as the shade I selected was not available and Cameo is slightly too light and pink for me. The bottle is quite heavy and I wouldn't want to travel with it (but you could pump some out into a container).

I received the shade Crimson Promise for review, which as you can guess from the name contains a lot of red overtones on a brown base. The developer/dye mixed well and easily in the provided bottle and was a nice consistency so that application was easier than some other home hair colours and required minimal cleanup. Development time was as stated on the box. I did find that with medium length hair with a lot of volume one box barely covered it and I probably would have been best off with two. However I don't have greys to cover so it was more about giving my existing colour some lift The smell of the product was still somewhat ammonia but the fruit oils in the product helped make this more tolerable. The same fruit oils leave your hair soft and shiny post application. Overall this product is easy to use and provides a good at home result. As with any hair colour it is hard to get an accurate match to the results shown on the box but with a wide range of shades at an affordable price it's easy to experiment to find your best result.

Not having used Dr LeWinn's products before I was pleased to get the opportunity to do so as part of the BH Trial Team. Upon receiving the product I was very impressed with the sleek packaging and appreciated the locking mechanism so that no product was accidentally spilled. However, I do note that the product is only 30 ml, so a large package which does not allow you to see the contents is somewhat deceiving and a little inconvenient when trying to guess how much is left. As for the product itself, I cleansed as usual and then applied a couple of small pumps of the product to the areas on my face I feel need it the most. I am fortunate not to have too many signs of aging yet so concentrated on the areas such as between my eyebrows and the corners of my mouth. The serum was beautifully smooth and absorbed well. It has a light, somewhat herbal scent which is not too noticeable once applied, which is great for people sensitive to that sort of thing. I felt a light tingling when applied but nothing dramatic. Over the trial period I noticed my skin becoming more hydrated, with less flakey patches. The fine lines I previously had have softened and are less noticeable. My foundation now applies more smoothly and I require less primer. I have experience no breakouts or reactions with this product so am very happy with it. Thanks BH for the opportunity to try it!

Like the other reviewers I wish this product was in a different applicator as I don't like touching the wand to a pimple so I tend to dab it onto a clean finger and use that to apply. That said, it's a good product for dealing with those odd spots that crop up. It works best when the spot isn't too far on as it will help kill the bacteria and reduce inflammation without drying the skin out.

After hearing everyone rave about these brushes I took the plunge and ordered them online. Whilst I don't use every brush in the set I am very glad I ordered them because if you can get them for a good price they are very much worth the money. Each brush in the set is incredibly soft and feels beautiful on the skin. I have never had any problems with shedding and they clean easily. My favourite brush is the contour brush which I use to apply blush every day. It's pointed tip allows me to push the blush up my cheeks and the softness helps blend it. The buffing brush is great for applying pressed powder and the foundation and concealer brushes are very useful. Most people should find that the set covers them for most daily face applications and with the additional of the eye set you will only need a few top up speciality brushes.

Great little basic item which performs consistently well. It sharpens pencils quickly and neatly and the cover holds all the shavings in place until you empty it. The little slide out pick for cleaning the blade is very handy and ensures minimal colour transfer (if you have never found this, take off the back cover, it's under there). I have found one or two pencils which were too big to fit in the larger hole so do have to have another sharpener for those.

After purchasing and using a couple of drugstore brand brow pencils I was suprised at the difference in quality between those and the Revlon brow liner. The colour is very intense, so much so that I probably could have gotten away with the next shade down but instead what I do is use it with a lighter hand and then comb it through with the attached high quality, dense brush. The pencil is buttery and smooth, easy to apply and the wind up pencil form is so handy. Yes, it may cost more, but it's worth it and will last a lot longer than cheaper pencils. I have been converted!

Batiste seems to be the most popular dry shampoo at the moment but this is not the best one I have used. The Blush fragrance is a nice light smell and doesn't linger too long which is great but I have found that this spray is not the best at refreshing my hair and does require a bit more brushing out than some to avoid powdery residue. I would probably use this product when my usual is not available but I'm not sure I would change to this variant.
