This is the best Pantene conditioner that I have ever used. The first time I used the conditioner was after I had used the matching shampoo and although the shampoo had left my hair feeling softer than usual and we'll moisturized the conditioner took those benefits even further. I didn't apply any other products to my hair after that first wash because I wanted to see what my hair would be like the next morning. I must say I was not expecting my hair to feel just as soft as it had felt after the wash and whilst it still damp the night before because I always air-dry my hair . On day two I only co-washed my hair (washing using conditioner only ..no shampoo) and actually left the conditioner on my hair whilst I scrubbed my body. And although I have coarse African hair with a somewhat microscopic curl pattern lol my hair felt almost silky as I rinsed out the conditioner. When I got out of the shower and towel dried my hair ...my hair was still very soft and fluffy instead of the usual steel wool looking coarseness I have at times. Once again I chose not to apply additional products to my hair and just left it alone to dry. Next day my hair was still very soft and I noticed that it hadn't stiffened up like it normally does when I go to bed without twisting or braiding it...the fluffiness was still slightly present and I was able to run my fingers thru my strands as I had done after both washes the previous nights; something I normally can't do without deep conditioners, leave-ins, oils etc all applied in my hair and even than there's always at least one snag. I also washed than conditioned my hair extensions and they came out feeling extra silky. I did leave the conditioner on the extentions for about 5 mins This conditioner is amazing and I feel if it can get my hair as soft as it did and retaining moisture so well when that's not always possible for me than it should work wonders for those with hair that isn't coarse. If you aren't sure about trying both the shampoo and conditioner at once than at least try the conditioner

Honestly I've used Pantene products in the past but I was never significantly impressed and at times I felt they barely did the job they were ment to. Upon applying the shampoo into my hair and working it in whilst massaging my scalp I was confused on why it didn't lather. Of cause I remembered that it didn't have any of the nasty ingredients that shampoos that have alot of lather may have at times. I hadn't washed my hair for a week because I was waiting for these products and I had product build up on my hair and scalp. The shampoo lifted the dirt off my scalp very well considering I massaged my scalp for only about 2- 3mins (a shorter amount of time than I usually shampoo for because I was rushing) I did use product the size of a small mandarin which I applied to my scalp and roots than got the same amount again and actually applied that to the remainder of my hair . Once I started rinsing my hair I can see all the dirt and build up in my hair and on my scalp from that past week go down the drain as a medium brown coloured water so i was impressed . I shampooed again 4days later and this time the water ran clear but the best part was that my hair felt even more moisturized and softer than it did after the first wash. The shampoo smelt great, it was a refreshing smell not overly perfumed in my opinion .
