So a few words prior to application , This product is THICC. Well more like, it has the runny consistency of mineral sunscreen , however you do feel it coating your face after application. I personally tend to use this on irritated, reddened spots afflicted by acne or eczema /allergies, and by god does it help to calm the irritation away. I wouldn’t use this if you already have naturally good skin, more as an adjunct when it needs help to soothe and moisturise the area. I believe the niacinamide element vastly improves the effectiveness of this product. Note that it doesn’t melt into your skin as easily as some other moisturisers so be wary about applying other sleeping masks on top lest you want a grease bomb of a face in the morning.

So I don't really aim to use vitamin C serums; I dislike that you have to wait a while between steps for it to really sink in before you can slap on all your other beauty potions. Yet, despite the slip slop slapping, I saw a brightening effect within 2-3 days. It did not noticeably fade the hyperpigmentation on my cheeks, but the bouncy, perky effect is prominent. The product did not irritate my skin, but it does have an obvious orange staining effect - beware white shirts and allow your full face to completely dry beforehand. This is undoubtedly my fave Glasshouse fragrance from their current lineup, mostly because it doesn't adhere to the typical musky, citrusy, woody, gourmand, or floral accords that most of their candle scents fall into. The candlemakers definitely hit upon that strange combo that makes one think of an upscale dressing room, or a vanity by an open balcony in upscale NYC. Suffice to say, if you like a mild, sophisticated woody floral, you can't go wrong with this baby. Other notes : - longevity and throw as per other Glasshouse candles : relatively long-lived- 3-4 hours, and fills a small-medium apartment room well.

Received a full-sized freebie through work so I had a good 4-6 months with this product. In terms of basic moisturising, it does the job, sinks in quickly and dries down with minimal to no residue. I do have combo-oily skin but didn't really notice any obvious mattifying effects after using this. On the bonus side, despite the addition of natural oils, my skin didn't breakout during use. Tldr; it does everything a moisturiser should do, but you'd be best picking this up only during Priceline's skincare sale.

I'm a little bit torn because in all honesty, in my light bleached blonde Asian hair, it comes out as a really beautiful steely blue grey. However, it doesn't match the package description at all in terms of colour. In all honesty, you'd be hard pressed to find another micellar cleansing product out there that's as good value as the largest size bottle of this stuff. It's effective amongst most forms of makeup, but unfortunately falters against waterproof and fibre mascaras. However, if that isn't a deal breaker for you ( plus you'd generally need an oil based cleanser for that anyway), this is a cheap, practical way of taking the face off at the end of the day.

Ya know, I pride myself on using high quality makeup and skincare products, but in my (admittedly limited) concealer experience, I vastly prefer this to the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer ( an OG of many a beauty afficionado). Skin type : Combo Oily Areas of concern : blemishes + undereyes Reasons I prefer this to the OG : 1) The more liquid consistency allows this to be blended out more evenly in comparison to the Nars, which has a pastier consistency. 2) Comparable coverage, very natural. 3) Cheaper

Perhaps it's a testament to the quality of the product that I still own all of the brushes and incorporate them daily into my routine, especially the powder brush! Generally a really fantastic kit with all the basics you need for foundation, blush, and eyeshadow looks. However if you're looking for something to up your makeup game a'la contouring or highlighting, best look elsewhere. Additional notes : Easy to clean, no loose brush hairs. Holds up well even after 4 years of semi-regular makeup usage. Alternate recommendation : Nude by Nature brush kit, but the powder foundation brush in the RT set is the real standout imo.

Luckily I managed to get my hands on both at a slightly reduced price and boy, I don't regret either. Skin type : NC25 in Mac, combo-oily ( dryer on the cheeks), glasses wearing. Owned shades : Peach Pop and Ginger Pop. Pros : Very flattering on my tanned skin, good wear time 6-8 hours, weirdly doesn't transfer onto my glasses even though my foundation does, very buildable. Cons : Slightly pricey compared to an average drugstore blush, but you definitely get what you pay for.

Notes : Used on salon-bleached black Asian hair dyed ash blonde. Presentation : Why don't more conditioners come in squeezy tubes? Heaps more user-friendly, especially in slippery shower stalls. It smells really nice, in a generic floral whatever scent. Performance: As noted, I have black Asian hair, which notoriously goes a hideous yellow-orange when when left untreated. I'd normally tone with the Joico Color Endure Violet shampoo once or twice a week, which helps eliminates the brassy tones. Having the conditioner in combination with this though, really helps bring out the glossy platinum tones that I'm after. When I'm feeling lazy and cannot be bothered with the whole toning process, I find the conditioner is usually enough to turn down the yellow-orange by a few shades ( even after leaving it on for about 3-5 minutes) Surprisingly effective and hydrating for a toning product. Mind you, I always get asked, "Did you do something to your hair?!" after I've refreshed it, so I think it speaks for itself :) Why not use the companion Joico product? Because it never goes on sale, whereas you can occasionally get this on special at Priceline during their 40% Haircare event.
