This was received as part of bH's Trial Team. It's a surprisingly hefty metal bottle which I actually quite like because it blocks out any light/potential for the formula to be distorted if you're not storing in the dark or in the fridge. I only used this a couple of times a week for two or three weeks, so we probably need a little more time to see genuine results, but I did find a generally glowier complexion in the mornings. I did also notice that around the 4th or so usage I was getting some mild dry skin/peeling - this could have been a normal part of the resurfacing process but was also expecting it to be less obvious as an introduction for beginners to retinol type products and only using it according to instructions: twice a week in the evenings with liberal sunscreen usage other days. I did like the light and non-greasy texture of the moisturiser though. I'm still undecided on whether I like it or not - I was expecting it to be even more gentle than it was, but maybe it'll give stronger results? TBA.

This review is written as part of Bh's Trial Team (thanks, Bh!) To preface, I have combination skin with some mild discolouration here and there from past/present acne and a couple of thready veins, and my main concern is maintaining skin evenness and general signs of wear. In the past I've had a pretty mixed experience with Vitamin B/niacinamide based products. I've often found that for me they either don't do very much at all, and with one immensely popular product, I seemed to break out in extremely tiny whiteheads. Generally I tend to opt for Vitamin C serums as I find they tend to have far more visible effect. When I heard that there was a chance to trial a La Roche Posay product with all the benefits of a B Vitamin serum but also handling a lot of the things I'd normally use Vit C for, I pounced as I've had good experiences with La Roche products before. The formula itself is a somewhat viscous kind of pink serum - similar in consistency to their Vitamin C serum but I'd argue a bit lighter. It goes on the skin well and doesn't leave much of a sense of residue or sticky heaviness like their Vit C does, and sits nicely under other products/makeup (again, the Vitamin C can sometimes trend a little greasy feeling). The Mela B is moderately scented - again, not as intense as some of their other serums but probably still far more floral than I'd normally like. I used this consistently, morning and night routines, for almost two months I believe? I had a short break of about a week in the middle while travelling where I reverted back to the La Roche Posay Vitamin C serum instead as I had a smaller version. I found the Mela B serum to provide moderate complexion colour evenness, and definitely felt that it kept my sebum levels quite balanced - my skin was never dry nor too oily, which it often is. My skin felt like healthy skin - however, it didn't really give me that all over glow or intense colour evening like their Vitamin C serum has in the past, which I was admittedly a little bit disappointed by. It felt like I was getting a more steady, middle of the road effect of a lot of products with less downside, but I was hoping for something a bit more transformative. The only thing that really annoyed me and continues to annoy me about La Roche Posay products is the dispenser - I'm sure there's a reason the dropper is designed the way it is, but the way it takes up product is so laboured that I think I might need to tip the last third of the product directly from the bottle to my hand. If that could be fixed, I'd be much more on board. Overall, a 4/5 - solid effort as expected from La Roche Posay, good if you're looking for steadier maintenance/cumulative effects, but just needs an extra boost if you're looking for that magazine complexion and glow.

I received this product via Trial Team (as usual, thanks bH!) - I do have some stretch marks on my thighs from my puberty years that I've never been able to get rid of/minimise. The skin on my body is fairly normal/occasionally dry, and my face tends to be combo trending oily and very sensitive. I found this a light and inoffensive, moisturising kind of oil - I missed quite a few days and would often only manage to use the oil once a day for about a week and a half, but I found it to absorb reasonably quickly and easily. Even if there was a little bit of residue remaining, it felt... it never felt greasy or oily, if that makes sense, and I just needed to give it a moment to more or less dry down. I found no irritation and the scent was - I wouldn't call it pleasant, there is a very faint sort of musky smell to it, but it was very innocuous and I appreciate that it didn't cause any issues with my sensitive skin. I noticed a very mild improvement on one of my sets of stretch marks - so mild, in fact, that I wonder slightly if there's a bit of confirmation bias happening. I think I'll need to trial it for longer to see significant improvement, if any. I also tested the oil on my face for a couple of days and found it similarly non-irritating, reasonably fast absorbing and moisturising, but probably a little bit too much for my combination skin. I did not notice any improvements in scarring or redness, but I doubt I used it consistently enough on this area to see a difference. Overall, a product I enjoyed, and will probably continue using to see if it genuinely improves the appearance of stretch marks.

I received this to review via bH's Trial Team (thanks as always, bH!) - I have brows that are very prone to being unruly, with lots of stray hairs that extend down toward my eyelid area and plucking is a pain. I've tried similar razor products before but have found them dull and scratchy or ineffective - these are significantly better! I wouldn't say that they're super precise - definitely not as precise as tweezers - but with a bit of manoeuvring and making sure that your skin surface is prepped, they do manage to gently remove any stray hairs or peach fuzz that you're looking to get rid of, and with the tip you're also able to fairly easily do some simple shaping with them. I don't find the blade guard (which is meant to leave only the tip of the blade uncovered so that you can shape with more precision) overly helpful myself - I actually found it to get in the way a little bit of where/how I wanted to angle the tip to parts of my brows, so I personally put that aside, but if you feel a bit safer/controlled with it on it's a valuable thing to have. It works on dry skin alright if you hold your skin down here and there and there's definitely a bit of an exfoliating effect with some dead skin visibly on the blade post-shaving, but I'd recommend moisturising for a smoother, easier shave. Works great for the lip and any other parts of the face as well, and comes in a pack of 3, so reasonably good value too.

I was incredibly excited about trying this product through bH's Trial Team (thanks, bH!) - touted as an organic, vegan and gentle milky cleanser, I was hoping that it wouldn't cause any strange reactions on my skin (which has been experiencing some weirdly exacerbated sensitivity/dryness lately) and be a better environmental option. The product comes in a sleek white bottle that's easy and comfortable to hold and use, with a click and flip lid that seems fairly secure. The product itself is milky, and surprisingly thick - the texture of it reminds me almost of a blended potato soup, very strange - but goes on smooth and silky. The instructions say that you can either apply with a cotton pad like a makeup remover and rinse it off, or wash your face with it like a standard cleanser. I've tried both methods and prefer the latter - it's just not really a strong enough cleanser to use as a pure makeup remover, and even when using as a standard face wash I find that it's not quite enough to remove heavier foundation or waterproof mascara. Luckily, I didn't have any strange breakouts or irritation from it, but it also hasn't really improved the sensitive/dryness issues I've developed that I mentioned earlier. I'm a little concerned about prolonged use exacerbating these issues however, as denatured alcohol is listed as the fourth ingredient on this list - surrounded by a lot of other basic emollients like glycerin and oils, but I'm always concerned when that ingredient is listed in the top five of any list. It's also probably worth noting that by 'organic' they don't mean completely 'organic' - it's '99% of natural origin', which in tiny font on the back they define as: 'ingredients sourced from nature retaining greater than 50% of their molecular structure (natural state) after being processed, including water.' Noting that water is also the top ingredient in this formula, like most formulas, this 'organic' label really doesn't mean much - just that ingredients are 'naturally derived', which many 'chemicals' are in the first place. Now I don't believe that 'chemical' = bad, but I just find the roundabout definitions a little misleading for someone who might be actively looking for an 'organic'/'unprocessed' product. Perfectly fine product, but I'll stick with my Sukin or Swisse products if I'm going for 'natural' beauty, thanks.

Thanks to BeautyHeaven for letting me review this as part of TrialTeam! I'll preface this with a little rundown of my skin condition like I do with most of my reviews: I have pretty combo skin, very greasy down the T-zone with a smidge of flakiness and fairly large visible pores and blackheads around my nose; and normal to dry/flaky cheeks. I also have the occasional, very angry acne spot in my t-zone and some very light scarring/discolouration here and there. Off the bat, I was pretty concerned about this product because denatured alcohol (alcohol denat.) is listed so high up the ingredients list (no. 4) - and it's known to kind of erode the skin's natural protective barrier and cause drying, but I was willing to give it a shot because none of my other skincare products have high alcohol contents (or any at all), and I have a fair few intensely moisturising products that theoretically should make up for it. I applied this for about a week morning and evening, as directed, after cleansing my face and before a hyaluronic acid serum (although sometimes after), then following up with heavier serums and a heavy moisturiser, and sometimes an oil on top of that if my cheeks are feeling a little strange/flakey/dry. After about half a week, I definitely noticed some brightness in the skin and more even pores, but nothing overly drastic and my faint scarring was still there. After a week, there was still a fair bit of brightness but I was getting some slight breakouts around the chin/nose (which could have been just a hormonal thing), and my cheeks felt a little bit flakey even with the use of a lot of moisturising products, so I'm a little wary that it might be the alcohol causing some of the issue. For the most part, the product does what it says it will - but going forward I think I may just use it for my extra oily t-zone and treat it almost as a light toner. The packaging for this product was lovely - a glass bottle with a strange kind of click-to-load-and-dispense dropper that's a *little bit* hard to control. Press *very* lightly, as I found a little goes a very long way, especially if you're trying to avoid certain sections of skin. The consistency is also fairly runny, so be prepared to work fast. It goes on slightly sticky but dries incredibly fast, and has something of a gently astringent, alcoholic smell.

Firstly, thanks to bH for letting me trial this product! My review for this is pretty similar to the Nude by Nature mineral brush I received for this trial, but I will admit that I far prefer this brush design and see the appeal of it/my personal ability to use it day to day more than the mineral brush. Firstly ,he workmanship and materials used on this brush are stunning - they come packaged in sturdy plastic tubes with rubber stoppers, the bristles are incredibly soft and full without being too packed to be unable to diffuse powder evenly, there's a lovely steel rose-gold metallic centre section and the end of the handle has a wonderfully comfortable, smooth to the touch matte finish. Great to hold and to control, especially because they have a bit of heft - and this one has quite a bit of length to it as well to allow for that really light touch/dabbing application that I'm more likely to do when applying translucent or any kind of powder over my done face of makeup. I said about the mineral brush that I wasn't sure if the application was necessarily better than other brushes -- with this one, I feel like there's definitely a difference with the balanced density of the bristles (not too packed, not too sparse) and the domed shape, as well as the elongated design to really help that finishing application of powder etc. It's also very, very pretty to look at.

Great to hold and to control, especially because they have a bit of heft. Although the brush itself was really lovely, I personally am not sure whether the quality from a practicality point of view was significantly better for applying powder foundations as I don't tend to be a big mineral powder foundation girl myself, and found that my $7 collapsible kabuki honestly gave a pretty similar effect in terms of application, even if the -experience- of using this brush was much, much nicer.

Similar situation to the Mineral Powder I reviewed as part of a Trial Team (thanks, bH!): Firstly, the packaging for this product is gorgeous - the rose gold lid acts as a bit of a mirror in and of itself. You *can* tip this out into the lid but I found the inside of the lid shape a little strange and unwieldy? I ended up just dipping very lightly, directly into the mesh and tapping off the excess -- maybe giving a swirl in the lid to distribute it more evenly if necessary. Like the mineral foundation, the powder gives a lovely, natural, even finish - airbrushed without seeming like you've caked on a lot of makeup. I didn't particularly like using it with the mineral powder foundation that I was sent along with it, as it didn't play particularly nicely with some parts of my face that trend toward having flaky skin, but on top of my usual liquid foundation it looks great and pulls back a little of that oily sheen my combo skin can sometimes do.

Firstly, the packaging for this product is gorgeous - the rose gold lid acts as a bit of a mirror in and of itself. I found working out the best way to apply it a little tricky/confusing as this one didn't come with a box with any instructions -- I looked up some videos of other Nude by Nature Mineral Foundations and most of them said to tap some out and then tap the end of the brush on the table to settle the powder into the bristles, but there was also another product that said to press your brush gently into the mesh (which this one has over the main dispensing opening). I sort of tried both - the internal shape of the lid isn't entirely flat, it has a raised section in the centre to keep powder from spilling all over the place, but to me it made it a little difficult to spread the product out evenly over the brush. On the other hand, dipping it directly into the mesh section naturally had me end up with way too much product -- in the end I found dipping directly in, shaking off some of the excess and then giving it a swirl in the lid/tap into the bristles seemed to work a little better. This foundation gives a lovely, natural, even finish - it's somewhat buildable, but you'd have to use a fair bit to really get solid coverage. As a light, skin evening product it would be wonderful for me if my skin wasn't a mix of combination/flaky. I was hoping it would combat my oily t-zone without making my flakes super apparent, even with moisturising and priming beforehand I still ended up with a bit of pretty unsightly flakiness on my forehead, so if you have even remotely dry skin, probably don't opt for this (as tends to be the case with powder foundations)!
