Almost a decade ago, I realised that my natural auburn hair had faded to muddy brown and began getting it dyed close to the colour that it was when I was five years old. I've tried quite a few shampoos over the years, and was accustomed to seeing a noticeable amount of colour wash out every time I washed it. That was until I started using Colour Revitalise. The first wash after being dyed saw the least amount of colour wash out of any shampoo I've ever tried, and my hair was actually more vibrant after that first wash than before, which I didn't think was possible. My hairdresser straightens my hair after dying it, and I'm accustomed to my hair frizzing after washing and needing to be straightened again. I was pleasantly surprised to find that, while it frizzed a little, it was far less than I've experienced before and I can get away without having to straighten my hair after every wash, particularly if I'm putting it in a plait as I do for work and cycling. The shampoo has a nice subtle fragrance, and didn't cause any adverse reactions on my fairly sensitive skin.

I've tried quite a few conditioners over the years, and was accustomed to seeing a noticeable amount of colour rinse away when I rinsed the conditioner out. That was until I started using Colour Revitalise. The first use after being dyed saw the least amount of colour rinse away of any conditioner I've ever tried, and my hair was actually more vibrant after that first wash than before, which I didn't think was possible. My hairdresser straightens my hair after dying it, and I'm accustomed to my hair frizzing after washing and needing to be straightened again. Like many people, I have deep lines across my forehead that I thought could only be effectively treated with botox or filler injections. It seems that I was wrong. After about a week of using this treatment, I was surprised one day when I absent-mindedly raised my brows and felt resistance because my forehead didn't want to crease at the lines as is has done for years. When I looked in a mirror, I realised that the lines were noticeably shallower than I can remember them being since I was a teenager. My partner agreed that they are less noticeable. In just a few days, my skin felt less oily, softer and smoother, and looked less ruddy than usual. The longer I use it, the better my skin looks and feels. The fluid had a very subtle, almost indiscernible smell, and didn't cause any adverse reactions on my fairly sensitive skin. It dried quite quickly, so that I only had to wait a few seconds after I finished applying it, to start applying moisturiser. The pump bottle with its slide-on lid is very convenient, particularly if you have long nails and struggle with products that come in jars.

After many years of using only long-lasting lipsticks, I decided to try this conventional lipstick, and my only disappointment is that it doesn't last, and needs to be reapplied regularly It is quite a nice lipstick. I tried three pleasing shades, including Blush in a Rush, which was a fairly close match to my natural lip colour; Greige Perfecto, which is a nice chocolate brown shade; and Retro Red, which is a nice bright red, albeit a little pale compared to typical pinup reds This lipstick is a quite effective moisturiser, with the moisturising effect lasting after the colour has worn off. The lipstick is a traditional twist-up style, with a familiar traditional fragrance that reminded me of the smell of my mother's lipstick when I was a child in the 1970s, in a tube with a modern squared off design Because of its matte finish, I found that Blush in a Rush was so subtle that I could wear it when I was not supposed to be wearing makeup. It evened out my lip tone without being obvious.

I've tried hair treatment oils a few times but, having an oily dandruff prone scalp and dry ends, I generally don't feel that they do much for me, and this product is no exception. The packaging is quite good, being a fairly solid feeling bottle with a pump that conveniently swivels to lock. The oil itself is a pleasantly fragranced lightweight colourless oil, which, like most such oils, is a little hard to wash off your hands. Using this as a pre-wash treatment worked okay, as did before and after blo drying. Unfortunately, I felt that what it did was weigh the hair down and make it look artificially shiny, rather than really improving the condition of the hair. While others might like it better, I felt that it was a fairly average product.

I found this product quite nice aside from being a little heavy, but I don't think that it stands out. My skin feels soft and smooth, wrinkles aren't too pronounced and oiliness seems to be quite well under control. I'll be using it until the pot is empty, then deciding whether to purchase more. The perfume was fairly neutral, not being noticeably good or bad, and it seemed to fade away fairly quickly after application. Like all products in screw top jars, this is very inconvenient to use if you have long fingernails.

I wasn't sure that I wanted to try another dry shampoo because the only one I'd used before felt like filling my hair with cornstarch or talc, and by all accounts I've ever read, that's normal for dry shampoos. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this one doesn't do that. I have sensitive skin and an oily scalp, and this dry shampoo blotted the oil very well without irritating my skin or leaving obvious residue. As you'd expect, it's a spray can. It's conveniently sized and easy to use. The fragrance is just noticable and feminine enough that it's probably not going to appeal to the males in your household.

I've been using this for a few weeks, applying between toning and moisturising. With sensitive skin, I'm constantly looking for products that won't cause reactions, and this one fits the bill in that regard. My large pores seem to be a little smaller than before I started, and it is gradually reducing the ruddiness of my skin. While I expect that the effects are only temporary, the improvements that I've seen are enough to convince me to keep using it to see how much my skin can improve The graduated coloured glass bottle is a classy design. The eye dropper built into the lid makes measuring the quantity for each application a breeze. For someone with long nails like I have, this packaging is great! The perfume was fairly neutral, not being noticably good or bad, and it seemed to be gone by the time this very fast-drying fluid had settled into the skin. If my skin continues to improve as it has since I started using this, I'll definitely consider buying another bottle when I finish the one that I'm using at present.

It also comes with a lift-out plastic seal under the lid, and unlike most such seals, this one was annoyingly concave, requiring all of the moisturiser under the seal to be scraped off with a finger rather than being able to remove most of it by just dragging the seal across the lip of the jar.

The oil itself is a pleasantly fragranced lightweight colourless oil Using this as a pre-wash treatment worked okay, but where I found that it really stood out was as a substitute for a heat protective spray when straightening. The results were noticeably better than with a water based spray. The only downside was that there was noticably more residue on the straightener than usual so it needed a bit more effort to clean. I'm so impressed that I'm not sure that I'll go back to the spray even long enough to use it up!
