I have been pleasantly surprised by this zinc coverage physical sunscreen. I don’t normally like physical sunscreens as I have often found them to be too heavy and thick, especially on my face. However, the invisible zinc sheer defence tinted moisturiser was unexpectedly lightweight and comfortable enough to apply daily on my face. I use it as a moisturiser in the morning, underneath my make-up, and have found it to be a great product. The slight tint also makes it possible to apply on its own without make-up, giving it a light coverage. It was easy to apply and while it takes a little longer to rub into the skin, my face didn’t feel too cakey or like it couldn’t breathe after. With it being two hour water resistant and an SPF of 50, I would be more than happy to use this product as sun protection for my face while at the beach – although I didn’t have the opportunity to. The product was also easy to wash off at the end of the day with normal facial cleanser and so is a really good daily moisturiser to protect your face from the harmful effects of UV rays.

This is a really great product that will leave you feeling clean and fresh all day. Gives you the confidence to lift your arms knowing there won’t be any marks on your clothing. The deodorant comes in a really tall aerosol spray bottle. It’s black and white, with really distinctive red marks. I like the twist top, which is not only a great safety feature for small children, but also good to prevent any accidental spraying if bringing the deodorant anywhere. However, it’s such a big bottle, it’s probably not something you really want to bring anyway. The deodorant has a really nice smell – or has my husband put it – a nice, feminine smell. It’s really effective and help to keep me dry and fresh smelling all day. They did a really good job of not leaving any visible marks on my clothes as well. I have normal skin and the deodorant didn’t irritate my skin. 48 hours protection may be a bit excessive as I expect most people to shower daily, but I reckon it would last that long.

This is an absolutely delightful lip gloss that’s great to use on its own or on top of your favourite matte lipstick to give it a beautiful sheen. The lip shine comes in a small plastic tube, a little smaller (shorter) than what I would expect from most lip gloss. However, it’s really nice and effective, so you don’t really need to much for it to do its work. Like most other lip gloss, it has a hole for you to squeeze the product out, so it’s just a matter of being a bit careful so you can properly control how much gloss comes out. Used on its own, it creates a lip pink natural effect. But if you like your lips to have a bit more colour, it’s easily achieved by first applying your favourite lipstick and then applying the gloss over it. There’s hardly any scent to the product, which I love, and it’s really easy to apply. It lasts for a really long time as well and makes my lip feel really nice, soft and hydrated.

Nude by Nature has once again come up with a product that I absolutely love – which is no surprise as I’ve consistently found their make-up products to be of top quality and at a reasonable price point too. This setting spray comes in a beautiful clear bottle with a spray top, which does nothing to impact function but scores points for how nicely it sits on my bathroom counter top. The spray top produces a consistent spay of product as well, so you know exactly how much to expect. You don't really need to much to set your make-up into place. There’s a pleasant but very faint floral smell to the product and it just gives your face a nice refreshing feel after you’ve applied all of your make-up. Best of all, there’s no sticky or unpleasant residue. My face looked hydrated and fresh throughout the day, with a very healthy glow (not the oily glow, if you get what I mean).

To be completely honest, after trying the product for a week, I can’t really say if it actually helps in thickening hair or reducing hair loss, as I normally already have very thick hair. I also suspect it will take a lot longer for any effect to be seen. What I like about this treatment, however, is how it makes my hair feel. I like the fact that it’s an easy application after towelling dry my hair, and it’s really simply to simply rub through, although I mostly concentrated on my roots. After my hair dried normally, my hair feels really nice and soft, so even if it doesn’t thicken hair, it seems like a really nice treatment for the hair. The treatment comes in a small plastic bottle with a pump, which makes it really easy to direct your spray. You can also quick accurately predict and expect how much product will come out with each spray. One of things I like about the product is that it comes out as a clear liquid mist, with hardly any smell.

Nude by Nature is one of my favourite make-up brands so I was really pleased about getting this perfecting primer to try. And as with all their other products, it does not disappoint. This primer comes in a short, flat tube, not unlike foundation cream. The little nozzle makes it easy to control how much primer to squeeze out to use. While the primer comes out white, it quickly disappears and is easily absorbed by the skin upon application. It really makes my skin feel smooth and soft, and more than ready for the rest of my make-up. I tend to use it under mineral powder, but I’m sure it’ll work just as well for liquid foundation or other creams. As promised, it is non-greasy, and does well in helping to absorb excess oil throughout the day. I have combination skin and I found the primer helped to make my make-up last through the day. The ingredients of the primer - kakadu plum, lilly pilly and papaya extract, and green tea – sound really luxurious and healthy, making my face feel pampered. While it certainly doesn’t work like a magic air brush, the prime was helpful in creating a nice, smooth base for make-up. Be careful when dispensing the product as you really don’t need a lot. Using too much product doesn’t make your skin feel worse, just feel that it’s a waste of money, when you really only need to use a little to achieve the results that you want.

While this product has promised that results could be seen in one day, I have found that while it is indeed hydrating, it doesn’t actually seem to miraculously heal immediately. The balm comes in a toothpaste like tube, and has a white, creamy texture. There is minimal fragrance and scent. It’s easy to squeeze and dispense, and application is also simple. While the cream is easy to apply, and quite easily absorbed, it has a curious plastic feel to it on the skin. There is also sadly a rather sticky residue left on the skin. I was expecting my feet to feel slippery, but instead, it felt slightly sticky after application. It meant I definitely had to wear socks after application – which I suppose is better for the skin to absorb the balm anyway. I have really dry and battered feet, and they really haven’t seen much love in a long time. So I was really excited to get this product to try. After a few days, I have found my feet to look mildly more hydrated. However, they still looked really dry and while there are no cracks, it still has really dry lines. My hard skin is still quite hard, and I’d be surprised if they came any better any time soon. On the upside, while my feet don’t really look greatly improved, they do feel much softer and smoother. What I’m hoping this means is that given time – and maybe the entire tube of heal balm – my feet will start to look healthy again.

I have been pleasantly surprised by just how wonderful this cream is and absolutely adore it. As it promises, it provides immediate moisture, and is so easily and quickly absorbed, leaving behind a fresh feeling and hydrated face. The product comes in a small toothpaste like tube, which is actually the perfect size for travelling – which unfortunately, none of us are doing right now. However, I can see myself popping this into my travel bag, should that ever happen again. For use at home however, I feel it’s too small and know it will be running out before I am ready. The facial cream has a really light, fruity scent which is really pleasant and also gives it a real refreshing feel. The word “cactus” emblazoned on the front of the tube was somewhat off-putting and I had visions of rubbing my face all over a cactus’s prickles, but the cream itself is nothing like that. You only need very little and your whole face feels nicely moisturised, and the refreshing mild citrus scent just makes your face feel really clean. I love how easily it rubs into your face, without any greasy residue. The main two downsides of this cream I feel are its price and the lack of SPF factor. At $27.95 for just 30 ml, it’s a lot of money for very little cream. Granted, it’s really good cream, but can be quite restrictive based on its price. Also, I would love to use this cream morning and night, but I don’t use it in my morning routine as I prefer to use a facial cream with SPF in it. While I know its meant to provide 24 hour hydration, I don’t think that would apply after I’ve washed it off in the morning with cleanser.

This may sound really weird, but the only way I can describe this lotion is that it’s like using a moisturiser made of water (in a good way). While the lotion looks like any other body moisturiser, and feels like it when you first apply it to your skin, as you rub it into your body, it feels very much like as if it dissolves into water. What this means is that the lotion is beautifully and easily rubbed into your skin, and you feel moisturised without the greasy feel that you sometimes get from moisturisers. The body lotion comes in a big plastic pump bottle, which makes it really easy to use and dispense. There is hardly any scent to it, which makes it a good fragrance free lotion for sensitive skin. As early mentioned, the lotion is really easy to rub in. It is also really gentle on the skin, so much so that I’m quite happy to use it on my five-year-old as well. He sometimes suffers from eczema, and I think this lotion, which is free from sulphates, parabens, artificial colours and fragrances, is great for his skin. While the lotion may feel like water, there is definitely moisturising properties to it, as my skin is hydrated and less dry after use. I really enjoyed the fact that you don’t get any sticky residue after using this lotion, and it really does the job of leaving your skin feeling nicely hydrated.

Don’t let the name oil trick you into thinking this is some oily formulation that will leave your skin feeling greasy. Instead, this Age Renew Retinol Booster Oil by Glow Lab is a pleasant surprise for your skin. The booster oil comes in a glad bottle with a dropper applicator, which makes it really easy to control portion. The booster oil itself is a clear yellowish liquid and doesn’t have much of a scent – a plus for me. Used to using rosehip oil, I thought this booster oil will be a bit of the same, in that it will feel slightly greasy initially, but once rubbed and absorbed into the skin, it will leave it feeling smooth and fresh. So what surprised me is just how light the formulation is. The first time I used it (two drops or so), it felt like the booster oil evaporated before it even touched my skin. Now, I use about three or so drops, and while it still doesn’t feel like I’m applying anything, I do know that I’ve rubbed the oil into my skin because of the way it feels and looks after. I tend to use this booster oil in the evening, after cleansing my face and before my night moisturiser. A few times, I’ve mixed the oil in with my moisturiser to apply together, and while that works fine, I feel it just creates unnecessary work and mess as I try to balance all the products and lids. The product is absorbed very quickly and well by my skin and there’s definitely no irritation nor greasy feel. In fact, it really feels like nothing at all. Best of all, my skin actually seems healthier and brighter as a result.
