What causes these fine, wiry strands to show up?
My stylist Elaine told me that these strands are a result of oxygen not being able to get to my scalp. It causes the strands to ‘suffocate’ in a way. This could be due to environmental issues, but even more likely, it could be due to product build-up on my scalp, which prevents oxygen to reach the source of my hair follicles and they become fine and weak as a result.
