We’re all part of the rat race, running here, racing there, unwilling to wait for anything or anyone. We want everything like five minutes ago, and when things don’t move quickly enough – heavy sighs can be heard from all around.
It’s the same with treatments and services. Am I the only one who can’t stand being stuck in a hairdresser’s chair for hours on end? After a while I get squirmy, thinking of all of the other things I should be doing. I just can’t relax!
Which is why when I heard about Aveda’s Express Treatments, which promise to have you treated, trimmed and blow-dried within the hour, I simply had to know more. I went to Sydney’s Oscar Oscar salon in Paddington and opted for the Aveda Botanical Hair and Scalp Therapy Treatment. The treatment incorporates a relaxing scalp massage using aroma-therapeutic essential oils, which not only improves the condition of the scalp and assists in the promotion of hair growth, but it also helps to refresh your mind, body and senses. It also utilises powerful plant actives that work to repair damaged and dry hair. Plus, each Botanical Therapy Treatment is customised to your hair and scalp needs, meaning that you’ll receive the perfect treatment for you!
Want to know exactly what I mean by customised? After a consultation with your hairdresser, you can choose one of the following stand-alone treatments: scalp balance treatment, scalp detox treatment, hair moisture treatment, or hair repair treatment. Each goes for 45 minutes – but if you’re a bit time poor you can opt for the quick 15-minute enhancement version, which can be squeezed in ever so nicely before a trim and blow-dry.
Got a bit more time on your hands and want the best of both worlds? Opt for the Aveda Botanical Hair and Scalp Therapy Treatment (which is the one I had). It’s a 60-minute treatment that combines the best of the hair and scalp treatments. But again, if you’re pushed for time you can cut this treatment down to a 45-minute enhancement version. Either way, your tresses will thank you for it!
