It’s hard to think of Posh Spice as anything other than entirely put together, and free from any skin care woes. She’s posh after all. But the mega-star has been open in sharing her struggles with acne in the past (and even some of the products she uses).Thankfully for Victoria Beckham, she’s done the hard yards and come out the other side. But what do you do when you’ve got a beauty brand (Victoria Beckham Beauty ICYMI) and a team of aesthetician-turned-friends at your fingertips? You launch a double cleansing range of course.
Double Cleansing
Much like the act of double shampooing your hair, double cleansing works to remove all the impurities from your skin. And if you’re not already doing it, we’d recommend you start. You know how sometimes your skin feels clean-ish but you have that sneaking suspicion that not all of your makeup has been removed? Well, double cleansing puts an end to that impurity-ridden question mark.
Now, when we say cleanse your face we don’t just mean go in for a second round with your trusty gel cleanser. We mean shake it up with something specifically designed to nab the harder-to-get buildup. This formulaic switch-up goes significantly deeper into your skin, ridding it of bacteria-prone impurities.
Victoria Beckham Beauty’s Latest Launch
Now unlike many other celebrity beauty brands out there, Victoria Beckham has been vocal about creating products that work (well). The star is no “wannabe” when it comes to deep-diving into the world of skin care. Her long-standing friendship with her facialist, aesthetician Melanie Grant was formed through their shared passion for beauty, with Victoria deeming Melanie her ‘skin guru’.
So, now that we know the products were made with a star aesthetician’s tick of approval, we can dive into the double cleanse. The Daily Cleansing Protocol ($200 at Victoria Beckham Beauty) is sold as a double cleansing set, because Melanie “won’t compromise on a double cleanse each and every evening.” It’s a sentiment we also share.
The pair includes a rich, nourishing oil cleanser: the Daily Oil Cleanser is packed with olive fruit oil that works to protect your skin and break down impurities. Then to gently work away dead skin (thanks to lactic acid), the exfoliating Daily Lactic Acid Gel Cleanser leaves behind cleaner, more hydrated skin.
It’s official; these will be the latest (and most stunning) cleansers to make their way into our daily routines.
