Answer: I eat lots of chocolate and drink lots of red wine. Okay, so the real answer may omit the “lots” but still, it’s a sentence you can see yourself saying (or at least wanting to say), yes?
Well you better stock up on resveratrol then, the compound found in dark chocolate, cocoa and red wine. It’s just been discovered that resveratrol helps to stimulate the longevity gene helping organisms (a.k.a. your youth I presume) last up to 20 per cent longer. Nice one.
It’s all very honest and above board; the research was conducted by David Sinclair, the head of Harvard Medical School’s anti-ageing research team no less. It must be good as a leading pharmaceutical company has just forked out US$750million and is putting it through clinical trials with the view to an anti-ageing drug hitting the shelves within five years (clinical trials all going to plan and all).
Of course, some beauty products are already three steps ahead. La Prairie’s Anti-Aging Longevity Serum contains resveratrol as well as other fabulous and fancy ingredients such as narcissus tazetta bulb extract, which, if you’re interested, keeps skin in a vital and younger state for longer.
Moral of the story: purchase copious amounts of chocolate, red wine and La Prairie Anti-Aging Longevity Serum; eat, drink, apply and await eternal youth. (Oh and I probably should have mentioned hiding the receipt before hubby comes home to sozzled, yet extremely youthful you. Though surely youthful skin should be a taxable benefit in today’s society?)Would you pop an anti-ageing pill?
