For skin that’s on point during the 2017 party season, you need to make sure you’re using all the right products. When your complexion is dull, blotchy or congested, your makeup won’t look as good as you want it to be.
To make your skin glow when you’re doing the party rounds, turn to beauty products that exfoliate, depuff, soothe and hydrate. These types of products are a sure-fire way to clear, bright and even toned skin.

Check out the gallery of products I’m going to be using to to keep my skin looking schmick this party season.
St Ives Naturally Clear Blemish Fighting Apricot Scrub
For me, exfoliation is key to smoother, brighter skin – exactly what I want when it’s party season! But I only do it once a week so I don’t aggravate my skin.
Clarisonic Mia FIT
One of the best ways to achieve super clear and clean skin is to use a facial cleansing device. It’s great at giving pores a good, thorough cleanse, plus the rest of your face. A compact one, like the Clarisonic Mia FIT, is perfect for taking on holidays or stashing in your office draw to do a quick cleanse before you go out.
Bioré Combo Deep Cleansing Pore Strips With Ultra Nose Strips
Visible and enlarged pores are my arch enemy. When I’m tired or haven’t been looking after my skin properly, they rear their ugly head. So I love to use targeted pore products to unclog any dirt or oil that’s going to get in the way of a perfect complexion.
Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II
If you want glowing skin, you can’t be lazy at night time. A good PM skin care routine, that includes a night cream, is a must to keep your skin looking sharp the next day. I always do a double cleanse at night then follow it up with a night-time serum and eye cream.
Clinique All About Eyes
If I haven’t had enough sleep, especially when I’ve been at a Christmas or NYE party, eye cream is imperative. When I’ve had no sleep and indulged in lots of salty food, my eye puff up. Before I apply eye cream , I grab a cold face washer and press on the area under my eyes to reduce the appearance of any puffiness. It’s also a good idea to keep your eye cream in the fridge so it has the same effect as the cold compress.
Alpha-H Liquid Gold
Any product that has an exfoliating effect is dear to my heart. I suffer from sun spots on the sides of my face, so I love using a chemical exfoliator to help reduce their appearance. Glycolic acid is one ingredient that does that. The end results is a brighter looking complexion.
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Dark Chocolate & Peppermint Lip Butter
If you’re going for a bright put this party season, you need to prep your lips first. I like to apply a moisturising serum or rosehip oil to them morning and night but I also keep a lip balm handy to ensure they stay hydrated all day long.
Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Pimple Cream
My worst skin nightmare would have to be a pimple appearing at the last minute or the minute before your party starts! Ouch! I like to keep a pimple clearing cream handy for emergencies just like this. A couple of hours before you apply foundation, dot a pimple cream on, and let your skin air.
L’Oréal Paris Pure Clay Detoxifying + Brightening Charcoal Mask
When your skin’s not looking how you’d like it to be, a charcoal mask is your best friend. I like to apply a mask a couple of hours before I go out. It gives your skin a brightening hit that’s going to last the night. It’s such an easy way to help clear up congestion and brighten a ruddy complexion.
How do you get ready for party season? Have you tried any of these products?
Ha ha yeh only – definitely not party season atm but I'm sure it will come again!
I have alpha-h liquid gold waiting to be used hopefully very soon.
