We love a good Reese Witherspoon recommendation. And considering the actress has her own book club, we’d say we’re not the only ones.
But when it comes to her beauty routine, the 45-year-old doesn’t share all too much too often. Previously, we’ve had to rely on her makeup artist and glam squad to give us the deets and rarely hear from Reese herself.
However, back in April, Reese took to Instagram to share a simple 3-step skin care routine. The post was to celebrate her new partnership with skin care brand Biossance. Prior to that, the mum-of-three had only ever partnered with one other beauty brand, Elizabeth Arden.
So while it’ll come as no surprise that both these brands feature heavily in her trusted products list, there are a few other gems to be found too. Here’s every detail we could find about Reese Witherspoon’s skin care routine.
Budget cleanser: Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser
According to Into The Gloss, Reese is a big fan of the soap-free Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and our members seem to love it too, rating it 4 stars from over 180 reviews. “I have very sensitive skin and it doesn’t irritate it in the slightest,” wrote bh member, CaitMay. “It is unscented, so perfect for those with sensitivity to smell. It leaves my skin feeling clean and super soft.”

Cleansing oil: Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Replenishing Cleansing Oil
In 2019, Reese shared the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Replenishing Cleansing Oil as the first step of her nighttime routine. “This takes off all my makeup but makes my skin so soft and moisturised,” she said. She used it with what appeared to be cotton balls, focusing on removing her eye makeup before rinsing with warm water.

Pigmentation-fighting serum: Biossance Dark Spot Serum
Yep, even A-listers need help fading their dark spots. “Ever since I had babies I have these little brown spots,” Reese revealed in an IGTV as she assessed her jawline. “This hyperpigmentation has really been helped by this product.”

Pre-red carpet serum: The INKEY List Q10 Serum
Reese’s makeup artist Kelsey Deenhan shared the exact serum she used to prep Reese’s skin before the 2021 Emmy Awards in a behind-the-scenes Instagram post. And you bet we were delighted when we discovered the line-diminishing pick only costs $11.

Peel: Elizabeth Arden PREVAGE® Progressive Renewal Treatment
From budget to luxe, Reese once described the Elizabeth Arden PREVAGE® Progressive Renewal Treatment as “like having a peel but at home.” The four-week treatment comes with doses that increase in the strength of resurfacing benefits as you progess, to reveal refreshed, smoother and brighter-looking skin upon completion.
Some of our lucky members got to try the treatment in a Trial Team. Member Marclaire said in her review:
“At the end of this treatment I am very happy with the results. The most noticeable difference is in the colour of my skin. My skin is much lighter and brighter, giving me a younger look. From day one my skin had a lovely soft and smooth feeling. I also feel that my skin is firmer and my wrinkles are less prominent.”

Moisturiser: Biossance Squalane + Omega Repair Cream
This hydrating pick contains an impressive mix of ceramides, hyaluronic acid, squalane and omega fatty acids to nourish the skin overnight. “And the great thing about this is it’s not sticky, not greasy,” said Reese – all thanks to its gel-like texture.

Facial oil: Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil
The one product Reese won’t stop raving about since her new partnership? “This is my favourite, the rose oil,” she said. And who can blame her? Not only does it smell like a dream and feel like pure luxury on the skin, but the brightening benefits of vitamin C also make it a texture and tone-evening delight.

Face massager: Nurse Jamie NuVibe RX Amethyst Massaging Beauty Roller
Combine the benefits of a crystal face roller with soothing vibrations that pulsate 6,000 times per minute, and you get Nurse Jamie’s NuVibe RX Amethyst Massaging Beauty Roller. Reese said in a video that it “feels so good” and that it “helps [her] get rid of the dark circles in the morning.”

Now I’d love to try that Progressive set from EA!
Wow, I’ve always thought she was stunning. Love that she uses some cheapie products too
I would love to try the Elizabeth Arden Cleansing oil
Biossance quite exxy products but I’m hearing a lot of good things about them.
I really like Cetaphil gentle cleanser! I thought the product is great
Oh new cleansing oil
She looks great and she hasn’t aged a bit!
Cetaphil really does give you soft skin! I use it as a body wash before a date.
I haven’t tried any of these but they all sound so good!
Never tried any of these but that Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil sounds absolutely divine!
I’ve tried a couple of Biossance products and really enjoyed them.
yes it is really good and affordable too
Some expensive products however if you can afford them why not !!
Reese Witherspoon can afford to buy the best Skincare Products in the World, have never heard of Biossance Skincare Products before they give Reese Witherspoon’s Skin a lovely radiance she always looks beautiful.
The Vitamin C Rose Oil sounds beautiful
Her skincare routine is very very gentle. I do like it, great for sensitive skin. Personally, need more “serious” stuff. Do want to get Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Cleansing Oil, wishlisted ages ago! Have used Biossance squalane RO fat soluble vitC thing. Did nothing. Was pleasant to use.
I’ve used the Elizabeth Arden PREVAGE® Progressive Renewal Treatment but I haven’t used any of the Biossance products.
As much as I love Cetaphil, I’m actually trying to find an Aussie-made alternative. I don’t have anything against products made in Canada, like Cetaphil, but I’d rather buy Aussie if possible. The thing is: nothing even comes close to how supernaturally soft it makes my skin!
If someone with good skin uses an inexpensive product it makes me think the expensive ones they use must be good as they are open to using what works.
I have the Inkey List Q10 in my stash somewhere…
The Vitamin C Rose Oil sounds lovely.
I like that her routine is simple, I haven’t tried any of the products listed yet but the Elizabeth Arden PREVAGE® Progressive Renewal Treatment is something I would really like to try as peels etc is something I’m really into and haven’t used a at home system before
Most of these products are new to me.
I haven’t tried any of these products.
I would love to get my hands on the Biossance Dark Spot Serum.
the cleansing is lovely, you only need a small amount
Yes I am the same with NZ made products but sometimes you need to use the best for your skin .
oooh I need to try that product for hyperpigmentation.
I would try any of these serums. I was most interested in the $11 serum though.
I too love Cetaphl. I use their body cleanser as my hand soap since Covid because my hands area drying out with all the constant hand washing.
I use their moisturising lotion each day. I love it.
The only brand of these I’ve tried is Cetaphil and it’s been around since forever
A combination of inexpensive and VERY EXPENSIVE products. Interesting.
An interesting assortment of products. I can’t stand Cetaphil cleanser, it doesn’t cleanse my face properly (IMO) and it dries my skin. My dermatologist loves the stuff
Reece looks amazing. I’ve been meaning to try the Inkey serum.
I want to try all these products !
I used to love the Cetaphil cleanser but I gave that up a while ago. Who wouldn’t love to try the EA Prevage four week treatment?
I have the Biossance oil, that reminds me to take it out and use it
I tried Elizabeth Arden PREVAGE® Progressive Renewal Treatment long time ago. It was great.
I haven’t tried any of these.
Reese always looks amazing.
It would be lovely to have access to any beauty products you want
Hmmmm. Do we believe that she would use cetaphil??? Just asking….
I haven’t seen some of these brands before
Another celeb with great skin, I’ve just finished watching Big Little Lies which Reece was in and she always looks gorgeous
Her skin always looks amazing no matter her age she has a beautiful glow about her. I love the basic and then little splurge items!
There are reviews on here. I did a trial about 18 months ago.
Selecting your parents well is also an excellent skincare tip 😉
Thanks for the info
I haven’t tried any of the products she uses but I have always wondered whether those face massagers are worth the money.
Funny I thought the same thing!
