We love a good Reese Witherspoon recommendation. And considering the actress has her own book club, we’d say we’re not the only ones.
But when it comes to her beauty routine, the 45-year-old doesn’t share all too much too often. Previously, we’ve had to rely on her makeup artist and glam squad to give us the deets and rarely hear from Reese herself.
However, back in April, Reese took to Instagram to share a simple 3-step skin care routine. The post was to celebrate her new partnership with skin care brand Biossance. Prior to that, the mum-of-three had only ever partnered with one other beauty brand, Elizabeth Arden.
So while it’ll come as no surprise that both these brands feature heavily in her trusted products list, there are a few other gems to be found too. Here’s every detail we could find about Reese Witherspoon’s skin care routine.
Budget cleanser: Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser
According to Into The Gloss, Reese is a big fan of the soap-free Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and our members seem to love it too, rating it 4 stars from over 180 reviews. “I have very sensitive skin and it doesn’t irritate it in the slightest,” wrote bh member, CaitMay. “It is unscented, so perfect for those with sensitivity to smell. It leaves my skin feeling clean and super soft.”

Cleansing oil: Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Replenishing Cleansing Oil
In 2019, Reese shared the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Replenishing Cleansing Oil as the first step of her nighttime routine. “This takes off all my makeup but makes my skin so soft and moisturised,” she said. She used it with what appeared to be cotton balls, focusing on removing her eye makeup before rinsing with warm water.

Pigmentation-fighting serum: Biossance Dark Spot Serum
Yep, even A-listers need help fading their dark spots. “Ever since I had babies I have these little brown spots,” Reese revealed in an IGTV as she assessed her jawline. “This hyperpigmentation has really been helped by this product.”

Pre-red carpet serum: The INKEY List Q10 Serum
Reese’s makeup artist Kelsey Deenhan shared the exact serum she used to prep Reese’s skin before the 2021 Emmy Awards in a behind-the-scenes Instagram post. And you bet we were delighted when we discovered the line-diminishing pick only costs $11.

Peel: Elizabeth Arden PREVAGE® Progressive Renewal Treatment
From budget to luxe, Reese once described the Elizabeth Arden PREVAGE® Progressive Renewal Treatment as “like having a peel but at home.” The four-week treatment comes with doses that increase in the strength of resurfacing benefits as you progess, to reveal refreshed, smoother and brighter-looking skin upon completion.
Some of our lucky members got to try the treatment in a Trial Team. Member Marclaire said in her review:
“At the end of this treatment I am very happy with the results. The most noticeable difference is in the colour of my skin. My skin is much lighter and brighter, giving me a younger look. From day one my skin had a lovely soft and smooth feeling. I also feel that my skin is firmer and my wrinkles are less prominent.”

Moisturiser: Biossance Squalane + Omega Repair Cream
This hydrating pick contains an impressive mix of ceramides, hyaluronic acid, squalane and omega fatty acids to nourish the skin overnight. “And the great thing about this is it’s not sticky, not greasy,” said Reese – all thanks to its gel-like texture.

Facial oil: Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil
The one product Reese won’t stop raving about since her new partnership? “This is my favourite, the rose oil,” she said. And who can blame her? Not only does it smell like a dream and feel like pure luxury on the skin, but the brightening benefits of vitamin C also make it a texture and tone-evening delight.

Face massager: Nurse Jamie NuVibe RX Amethyst Massaging Beauty Roller
Combine the benefits of a crystal face roller with soothing vibrations that pulsate 6,000 times per minute, and you get Nurse Jamie’s NuVibe RX Amethyst Massaging Beauty Roller. Reese said in a video that it “feels so good” and that it “helps [her] get rid of the dark circles in the morning.”
