Summer is well and truly on its way! And with summer also comes the party season. I’m getting a jump on my beauty regime by ramping things up early with a few choice beauty products and treatments.

If you’re looking to do the same (or even if you just want to try something new), then check out my reviews below of the three things I’m doing this month to get ready for summer and the party season.
Alfaparf Milano Semi Di Lino Moisture Nutritive Mask
As we hurtle towards the summer months, I can actually feel my hair getting drier and drier. To compensate, I’ve been doubling down on hydration with this nourishing hair mask. This intensive treatment moisturises, nourishes and strengthens the hair fiber, making hair soft, shiny and easy to comb – which is ideal fo when the weather is warm enough that I can just comb my hair and leave it to air dry. After using this mask weekly for almost two months, I can see a big difference in my hair. Even after just one use, my strands feel softer and silkier, with none of that straw-like texture that often comes with summer dryness. A must-try for those who find their hair needs an extra hit of moisture when the hot weather arrives.
St. Tropez Self Tan Purity Bronzing Water Mousse
Y’all know I love me a good fake tan. Generally, I go for an ultra dark bronze but sometimes, when the weather is warming up but I’m not yet required to hit the beach, I try a more natural-looking colour. I was intrigued by this product, as it’s a transparent water mousse formulation that goes on clear but develops into a natural golden tan. One night I was feeling especially lazy and couldn’t be bothered putting my sheet protectors on, so I decided to give this clear mousse a try. It went on smoothly, and I was able to navigate the areas I’d covered because there was a sheen to the skin. It dired really fast and I was able to hope comfortably into bed moments after application. When I awoke there was no reside on my sheets at all and my skin was now a beautiful golden brown. Upon arriving to work that day I received multiple compliments on my skin – “You look so healthy and glowing!” and “Have you done something different?” – because the tan was subtle enough to give me an imperceptible boost, without it being obvious I’d fake baked. I’ve since used this tan multiple times and surprised myself at how much I like it. It also has an amazing tropical scent to it, without even a hint of that stale-potatoes tan smell. A real winner for just about anyone!
Herbario Face Detox Treatment
Recently, I was lucky enough to experience a life-changing facial treatment with Valli Shubere from Melbourne’s famous Herbario clinic. It wasn’t like any facial I’d ever had before. It began with an extensive conversation about all the recent happenings with my skin, my body and even my personal and professional life. Valli believes that everything is interlinked in your body, causing your skin to look a certain way. For the next 90 minutes, using vigorous massage techniques and custom herbal product concoctions on my face and neck, Valli worked out the excessive fluid in certain areas of my face. She also identified a large amount of tension in my jaw, which is likely due to the current realignment I am undergoing with my teeth. After relieving the tension and giving my face and neck some much-needed lymphatic drainage, I looked like a different person! There were contours in my face that I’d never seen before and my neck was visibly less puffy. Thanks to the herbal products used, my skin continued to glow for weeks! I’ve maintained the glow at home with Herbario’s Daily Hygiene Cleansing System products. If you ever get a chance to visit Herbario, this treatment and subsequent products should be at the top of your list! I’ve found that this single treatment has meant that I’ve needed significantly less makeup each day, which is definitely a bonus during the hot weather.
