Rihanna, thank you so much for using the Tokyo premiere of Battleship to provide us with some mid-week make-up inspiration. You are a true gem, I tell you. A true gem.
Said inspiring make-up look is indeed this peach and gold wonder on the left, and before you get your knickers in a flutter, these warm sunshine shades are actually really wearable on all skin tones, so don’t be fooled by Rihanna’s Barbados-born bronzed glow. I’m as fair as fair can be, and despite loving all shades of pink on my cheeks, peach actually suits me better. And it works insanely well on my eyes too. True story.
Anyway… What makes this look so grand, beauties, is that the soft peach eye shadow has been paired with a delightful metallic gold shade, which has been applied beneath the lower lashes and on the inner corner of Rihanna’s eyes. Not only does this open up her peepers, it keeps the striking eye make-up look balanced as well. It’s super-easy to recreate at home, too, just be sure to keep the gold shadow tight to your lower lash line.
If you’re keen to let your inner-Rihanna run completely nuts, apply a sorbet apricot blush to your cheeks and a shimmery peachy gold gloss to your lips as well. Oh, and sweeping on a bucket load of volumising mascara and applying some black eyeliner to the upper and lower waterline of your eyes will give your peepers a final dose of definition. Love.
And just because I’m feeling particularly generous today, here are some products that’ll come in very handy when recreating this peachy keen make-up look:
• SAX Eye Luxe Eyeshadow Quintette in Love at First Sight
• Nutrimetics nc Glossy Shine Lip Lacquer in Amber Sunset
• Mirenesse Airbrush Minerals Soft Focus Blush Highlighter in Peach Blossom
• St Tropez Skin Illuminator Gold
Does Rihanna’s peach and gold make-up combo inspire you? Or do you find these eye shadow hues a little intimidating?
