Pat McGrath is a legend among celebrities and the beauty-obsessed for a reason. Her eponymous makeup line is essentially a work of art, from the Bridgerton-themed collection worthy of a Lady Whistledown review to the coveted MatteTrance Lipstick ($62.99 at Sephora).
And now the queen of makeup has made her first foray into the world of skin care with the launch of DIVINE SKIN: Rose 001™ The Essence, a milky essence-toner that promises to hydrate, revitalise and boost your skin’s glow.
“I wanted to create something for all skin types that’s the effortless first step to awakening our complexion’s natural moisture memory, revealing the skin we are born with, reawakened,” McGrath said in a press release. “It’s my dream come true.”
Divine Skin: The Essence is formulated in Korea with 97 per cent botanically-derived ingredients including squalane, vitamin E, sea buckthorn and sweet almond oil. But the real hero of the product is the unique bi-phase technology, which includes Rose-Biotic and HydraSphere18. Together, these breakthrough complexes work to enhance the skin’s appearance — hello plump, rejuvenated complexion!
The essence-toner hybrid can be incorporated into your skin care routine in place of your standard toner (after cleansing and before layering any serums or moisturiser) for a dewy, refined complexion. You can even add a layer over your makeup to give your skin a midday pick-me-up and help protect against environmental aggressors.
McGrath has named supermodel Naomi Campbell as the skin care line’s first ambassador. The two have been friends for almost three decades, working together backstage, on set and for numerous Pat McGrath Labs launches.
“Pat knows, I love anything that hydrates, and she knows what I love about this — it’s not trying to paint a coat glow on my skin, it’s really bringing out my glow,” Campbell said in an interview with Refinery29. “Anyone [who] puts it on, the skin feels revitalized, it feels replenished, it feels plumped, it feels smooth, and you can put makeup on easier.”
Campbell has reportedly been using the product for a year now, and after seeing her picture-perfect complexion at this year’s Met Gala we think it’s paid off!
Divine Skin is now available for AU$140 via Pat McGrath Labs.
We can’t wait to get our hands on Pat McGrath’s Divine Skin and channel Naomi’s goddess-like glow!
Will you be giving your skin care collection a luxury glow-up?

I’ve never heard of this Pat person.
Me either.
No idea who she is.
Neither
If you’ve seen Bridgerton S2 then you’ve seen her makeup – her line was used exclusively! She makes the most divine, buttery, pigmented eyeshadows.
I got 4 of her luxe trance lippies as they were on some insane sale on Patmcgrath site with free shipping. Got each 12 bucks aud. Anyways, they are great, lippies. And bought 2 eyeshadow palettes (not for me as I don’t use shadows, for gifts to my fave girls in the world). They are incredible, wanted to keep haha.
Skincare though, not going to try. I’m good.
Sounds like a fab bargain!
You did well with your specials Yohanna. Too expensive at full price. Glad the lippies are good.
I really love the regular lippy sales. I own a lot as well.
Wow, what a bargain buy that was!
Doesn’t really interest me. I think makeup companies should still to makeup
That packaging 👌🏼😍 Definitely going to try it.
beautiful packaging. You will have to let us know what you think after trying
The packaging most likely costs more than the liquid contents!
I love the sound of this but the price puts me off -Pat’s skin does look amazing
That’s actually Naomi’s skin as she is the brand ambassador. She does have fab skin!
It’s a bit expensive isn’t it?!
It does look pretty, I would like to try it.
Seems a bit pricey for my budget but sounds super luxe!
I’ve not heard of her before, but if her bestie and skin care ambassador is Naomi Campbell, she’s got amazing skin!
I’d love to try these products, maybe when they are on sale.
A person after my own thoughts.
I can’t find any info on the serum other than the PR and marketing spin.
Go on pat’s main page for this product. And there is ing list. I ahve posted here but BH has deducted 5 points for that.
Thanks Yo, I had done that but I wanted to take a deep dive into the list to see how much is killer vs filler!
Beautifully presented products but quite expensive at full price.
I own a lot of Pat McGrath makeup but I think I might wait for a few reviews of this essence. It looks overhyped right now.
Look up the cost of the raw ingredients!
Water, more water and (very plain) oil blend emulsion with one ceramide thrown in. At least looks nice
Yeah, I can’t seem to find a full ingredients list anywhere.
I will never blindly buy skincare without looking at the ingredients and reading/watching reviews.
I’ve posted the full ing list here, but BH has deleted the comment and deducted 5 points for that. So be careful as they censor a lot now.
Wow that’s unfair.
That’s outrageous, Bh! The product is featured here in YOUR article!
We only earn 1 point per article comment, so why deduct 5? Very unfair!
Strange to censor ingredients list.
Very strange indeed!
Maybe it was a bot? It automatically reports what doesn’t look like sentences maybe?
So in reality, this is a K Beauty product with Pat’s name slapped on it!
Don’t forget pretty packaging.
Wow lovely skin, but a high price to pay??
I just love the packaging!
Naomi Campbell hasn’t aged a bit.
It is quite incredible. She must have amazing genetics.
I think it is photoshopped.
Yes, all marketing photos are
Definitely! 😂
I’ve never heard of this range, pretty expensive as well, think I’ll stick to what I know and trust
I don’t feel the need for this product, sounds nice tho
Oh dear – another one I’ve never heard of.
Out of my price range. She looks beautiful but I have no idea who Pat McGrath is.
Will you be giving your skin care collection a luxury glow-up?
Not for me, too over priced
$140 is a bit steep.
Beautifully presented products but quite expensive at full price.
Sounds lovely – though expensive. Would be good to have some reviews here before splashing out.
Yes what a great trial that would be!
This is all so new
I wouldn’t mind trying it but I can’t see myself spending that much on another skincare product.
Have never tried Pat McGrath’s Skin Care, at all seems it is so very well liked by Celebrities.
It looks great!!! Love the sounds of rose in it.
I thought that was Kim Kardashian and then the next photo I thought it was Beyoncé!
Oh wait, I just realised it is Naomi Campbell but it doesn’t look like her…
Yet another skincare range from someone I’ve never heard of
It sounds good, but that’s a bit out of my price range.
The packaging is divine!!
The packaging is beautiful but it’s out of my price range.
This is expensive.
looks like a beautiful product.. lets see how it goes
I am happy using garnier micellar water. It does the what I need
Pat who?
I must say I haven’t heard of her before but I like the sound of Divine Skin.
Has anyone tried this yet?
James Welsh mentioned a good dupe for this in one of his recent videos.
The good news is that What’s In My Jar did a breakdown of the ingredients and their functions in Pat McGrath’s Essence. There are much cheaper products out there containing the ingredients that are also elegant formulations!
I’ve heard of Pat McGrath’s makeup line, but I didn’t know that she did skincare products.
