Pamela Anderson is in her new makeup-free era. Following her tenure as a ‘90s beauty icon, the 56-year-old is currently forging a bare-faced beauty chapter.
While she’s embraced this look more often over the years, after debuting it on an international stage at Paris Fashion Week in 2023, she’s truly solidified herself as a beauty pioneer once again.
Of course, rocking a bare face is more than just a ‘beauty look’. However, given her public standing, Pamela’s open endorsement of the natural beauty movement has inspired many.
Given this, fans have also shared their curiosity regarding how she takes care of her skin when she’s letting it shine free. Her answer? Rosehip oil.
Pamela Anderson’s skin care routine
As a bit of a gardening guru (she literally has a TV series dedicated to it: Pamela’s Garden of Eden), Pam actually harvests and makes her own oil from home. As revealed in her Substack newsletter, ‘The Open Journal’, the former Baywatch star wrote that she’s “weeded out” her overcomplicated routine, opting for a routine that is “pretty simple these days”.
“Pretty simple” to Pam means literally starts at the roots.
“I plant things where I’ll see them and [apply them]…. A rose hydration spray in the fridge that I use every time I open it…a lip balm in my bag that I apply all day long especially in the winter.”
She accompanies this with her homemade rosehip oil which “sits on [her] vanity for before makeup or just ‘as my makeup’ these days”.
“I’m not trying to be the prettiest girl in the room. I feel like it’s just freedom. It’s a release,” she wrote.
DIY queen she is, our thoughts can only stray to the possibility of a Pamela Anderson skin care line.
“People have talked to me a little bit about it, but I’m just trying to find the right kind of products; without it, I don’t know if I want to do it,” she told Refinery29 about the chances.
“It has to have integrity…maybe it’s the right time,” she reflected.

Would you ever incorporate a DIY skin care product into your routine?
I like Rosehip oil, I don’t have the skills for homemade products though.
Never done DIY skincare before
It will be interesting to create your DYI skincare, I just prefer to buy it.
Without make up I look a little like this, but not quite as good!!! |What a difference make up can make.
I have to be careful with oils, they seem to just sit on my skin
I go though different phases. Sometimes I’m into DIY other times not so much. DIY done properly is not the easiest and hygiene and preservation is paramount.
Are here brows tattoed on? It looks as though she has no natural brows
I don’t like DIY but this seems okay and sensible compared to a lot of other DIY people have peddled.
I’m not confident in doing DIY, and I would much prefer just to purchase good quality products.
Even Pamela Anderson doesn’t look like Pamela Anderson!
DIY is probably best but it’s more convenient to just buy.
I love that celebrities are embracing a real natural look
I love that she has the confidence to go makeup free, especially as she was known for such a heavy look.
She looks very confident of her skin care routine.
I love rosehip oil, but harvesting & making it myself is way beyond my gardening skills!
DIY is on trend and economical if you have the time
I use rosewater spray from the fridge and i love it
