Our biggest ever competition: GLAM GIRLS’ GETAWAY
A jawdropping 19,200 people entered but it was Kate Robinson from Queensland that scored the prize everyone wanted. We put her and three friends up in five-star accommodation for a weekend, wined, dined, pampered and preened them – jealous, us? Yes! We caught up with Kate, trying (and failing) to hide our green-with-envy faces to hear all about it:
How did you find out about GLAM GIRLS’ GETAWAY?
I was reading a beauty article and the competition just popped up on my screen!
How did you feel when we told you that you’d won our grand prize?
I was in total shock; speechless but really excited!
Who did you take with you?
I took three of my best girlfriends – the ones I knew would enjoy and appreciate the experience as much as I would. Needless to say they were very excited!
What facials did you all opt for?
We all chose the Ilcsi Organic Skincare facials because they sounded so relaxing and suited to our needs. It was a really wholesome and relaxing experience. I absolutely love massages and the facial started off with an upper back and neck massage with the aromatherapy oils, it was very tranquil and relaxing
What did you spend your $1000 shopping money on?
I bought a Zimmermann silk dress, some gladiator flat sandals, a Natasha top, a MAC eye palette with six eyeshadows, some Pandora charms & some Napoleon make-up.
What was your favourite part of the weekend?
The weekend as a whole was so much fun! We felt very spoilt. I just loved getting to the hotel and relaxing on Friday night – we ordered room service! We all absolutely loved the facial because it was so relaxing. The dinner on Saturday night was also really fun, especially after the bottle of Moet we shared in the hotel room! It was just nice to have a proper girly weekend away getting pampered and truly spoilt!
