100 female reviewers aged between 25 to 35 who have normal and combination skin and are looking for clear, fresh skin. Testers are looking to maintain their complexion and remove daily dirt, impurities and make-up effectively.

NIVEA Daily Essentials Refreshing Facial Wash Gel, designed for normal and combination skin works to cleanse skin and remove dirt, make-up and grime while keeping skin fresh, hydrated and radiant. Hydra IQ in the reformulated cleanser works to deliver non-stop hydration to skin even after cleansing.
Overall, the majority of members found the NIVEA cleanser to be effective in removing daily dirt and impurities to leave their skin fresh and clean. They also felt like the formula was invigorating and worked well to ‘wake up’ their skin. Members commented that the cleanser worked well to keep shine and oil at bay.
Some members did find that a double cleanse was needed to thoroughly remove dirt and make-up. Those with oilier and combination skin found that their skin was comfortable after washing and a regular application of moisturiser was fine. Members who have skin that tended to be on the drier side found that a richer moisturiser did the trick to combat any slight dryness experienced.
In terms of fragrance, some members found the subtle ‘clean’ scent exactly what they wanted in a cleanser, whilst some would have preferred something a bit more floral or fruity.
One suggestion some Trial Team members made was to change the packaging, as they found that the tube allowed for more product to be dispensed than was needed. They thought that maybe a pump bottle would be better in terms of controlling the amount dispensed.
Another thing members were happy with was the affordable cost of the product and the availability in supermarkets.
