Nicole Richie has been on our list of ‘it’ girls since, well, the Simple Life. With the iconic reboot coming soon, you best believe we’ll be cracking out our notebooks and writing down just about everything Nicole does from now.
And that includes her CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) glowing and seriously flawless skin.
Of course, Nicole has always looked stunning and radiant in our eyes, but something caught our attention here. Okay, the backless leather dress definitely did, but her glow was next level. So, we just had to do a little digging and find out more!
Nicole Richie CFDA Skin-Prep
Nicole’s makeup artist Vincent Oquendo was quick to drop his full beauty routine, which included, a sneak peak into the skin care he used to create Nicole’s flawless, glowing base.
The products in question? Well, they all came from Solawave! Harnessing the power of facial massage and LED tech, Vincent used the seriously special wand on Nicole.
Solawave 4-in-1 Skin Care Wand
Much like the full LED face masks this little wand waves its radiance-boosting magic all across your skin! Designed to not only harness the red-light technology, this wand can do it all.
It warms your skin (a winner if you’ve got achy muscles), and sends out galvanic currents that work to push your skin care products in deeper. Meaning they absorb better into your skin. Plus, you get the added fun of waving a magic wand across your face!
Using this wand with the range of Solawave skin care products Vincent was able to create a totally lit-from-within luminous glow for Nicole.
Key Features:
- 7 LED lights
- Harnesses the power of depuffing facial massage
- Galvanic currents help product absorption
- Warming
Available at:

Have you used an at-home LED? Would you try Nicole Richie’s skin prep step?
A good skin care routine twice daily is a great idea
Her sking is so lovely.
I’m not a fan of the glow look
I know what you mean, @Susmat: glowy often looks sweaty & greasy to me.
Nicole’s skin in the top pic looks too shiny, but I think she looks great in the lower pic. The dress & hair are the same, so different lighting?
I’d be happy to use an LED device if it gave my skin a deep glow.
I’d try it. It looks like it would be easy to use.
Interesting a new tool for me, no i haven’t tried this
I’d rather use a mask than a stick.
I would love to try LED device.
She looks amazing.
