We lusted after Zac Posen’s mesmerising make-up as soon as we spied it on the New York catwalks and now you can achieve it at home with these simple steps.
MAC make-up artist Lucia Pieroni said of the look: “She’s a Tim Burton-esque girl – very beautiful, but a bit creepy and doll-like.” (Note: obviously you can tone the look up or down to suit your style, we like to keep the lip light and make it all about the eyes as we head into autumn.)
What Lucia used on the models:
MAC Eye Shadow in Blackberry (a matte burgundy-plum brown) and Print (a muted grey flecked with shimmer) blended into the crease. Then layer and blend MAC Eye Shadow in Print and Carbon (the blackest of blacks) along your bottom lash line and up and out to the corner of your eye.
MAC Eye Kohl in Smolder (and smoulder it does, intently) drawn along the inner rim of the lower lash line.MAC Cream Colour Base and Clear Gloss – Lucia blended these together and then layered them over shadows to add gorgeous shine and depth to the eye.
To create a strong brow, Lingering Eye Brows was used to shape and fill in. Try Bloom Retractable Brow Definer which comes in a Medium Brown.
Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation which gave a flawless, porcelain finish (accentuated with MAC PRO Shaping Powder that adds contour. Try Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Warm Radiance also).
Then use a sheer layer of MAC Lipstick in Morange to stain lips. Bellissimo. (Or should that be like, totally hot as Paris was in residence for Fashion Week?).
