Martha Stewart Has Officially Become The Oldest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover Model

At 81 years old, Martha Stewart has just become the oldest model to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swim. While it goes without saying that Martha is so much more than just her age, we can’t deny that this world-first for the swimsuit magazine is quite the impressive achievement. Wearing nothing but a white one-piece, a bright orange cover-up, voluminous hair and one beautiful smile, the author has quite frankly never looked better. And in true Martha style, we’re sure she’ll let us know whether the image has undergone any re-imaging.

“When I heard that I was going to be on the cover, I thought, ‘oh, that’s pretty good, I’m going to be the oldest person I think ever on the cover,” Martha told Sports Illustrated.

Although she admitted, “I don’t think about age very much, but I thought that this is kind of historic.”

Outside of simply ticking this off her bucket list, Martha was motivated to grace the cover in a bid to prove that women can both look and feel good no matter what stage they’re at in life.

“Age is not the determining factor in terms of friendship or in terms of success, but what people do, how people think, how people act, that’s what’s important and not your age,” she continued.

Joining Martha to make up the rest of the SI 2023 Swimsuit cover stars are actress Megan Fox, musician Kim Petras and model Brooks Nader.
