Considering how amazing Kate Middleton’s skin is, you’d be forgiven for thinking she might have dabbled with injectables. But it turns out the royal relies on an alternative to Botox and yep, you too can get your hands on it.
Now, it’s worth noting the Duchess of Sussex doesn’t exactly give a rundown to the public about her beauty routine. From her favourite shampoo to her wedding day fragrance, we rely on ‘insider sources’ to give us the scoop.
But this revelation has long been reported by a brand rep of the product itself, and we really don’t think they’d risk their reputation on a false claim. After all, nobody wants the Queen as an enemy and they would’ve shut down the rumour by now.
Alright, enough stalling. Here’s what you need to know about the serum…
Kate Middleton’s ‘Botox in a bottle’
The product in question is the Biotulin Supreme Skin Gel. Made in Germany, its key ingredient is spilanthol, which the brand claims to “naturally reduce muscle contractions and relax your features”.
The effects sound similar to the results of Botox, only no needles are necessary. It also contains more familiar ingredients known for hydrating and plumping the skin, such as glycerin and hyaluronic acid.
Of course, getting skin like Kate Middleton doesn’t come cheap. The product retails on Amazon in Australia for $158. However, a round of Botox can cost you twice as much so it’s all about perspective.
The skin gel does also have a 4-star rating from over 1,500 reviews on the stockist website. So all signs point to it being effective for the majority who try it.
One satisfied customer wrote: “With its prologue use it smooths lines and wrinkles of expression. It is necessary to use it constantly, every two days apply once or twice a day. The results look very fast. I recommend it!”
Whereas others were underwhelmed: “Used it morning and night for over a week now without the slightest improvement in either wrinkles or skin texture. If anything skin looks less glowing than usual. What a waste of money I’ll be going back to my Ordinary skin care products.”
So like all products, the results can be different for everyone. But it’s been reported that Kate found it so impressive she even recommended it for her sister-in-law Meghan Markle’s skin care routine.
Celebrity fans of the serum also allegedly include Michelle Obama, Jennifer Lopez and Kim Kardashian.

Had you heard of Kate Middleton’s ‘Botox in a bottle’? Would you try it?
I would love to try it but out of my price range -With Kate only 40 and with a beautiful skin she probably doesn’t need too much care as yet
Agree to all of this.
Yes, she is only very young and 40 is an age where the big stuff hasn’t even started happening yet – on the visual side of things anyway. Well not much!
That’s true. She is still very young.
I agree totally.
But with all the scrutiny she faces constantly, I am not surprised at all that she is trying to bat away any signs of age at such a young age. I know I would be too if I were so photographed and nit-picked as she is in her everyday life.
Just use Botox or Dysport- ends up cheaper in the long run!
Dysport? I’ve never heard of that one before. I’ll have to check it out.
Yup, it is cheaper than this serum.
Interesting… Would not run out and buy it yet.
Love Kate’s earrings on the picture.
Never noticed the earrings at first but went back to look and yes I think they are beautiful
They are nice aren’t they -She is so lovely
I love her earrings too! 🙂
I always notice the bling in articles – yes, these are lovely!
Not something I would bother with. And to be honest it doesn’t look like it’s doing much for her.
It would be nice to try if it was more affordable.
I hadn’t heard of it before today, I would try it.
I’ve never heard of it but would try it, I am not a fan of Botox.
It sounds great, buy this is way too expensive for me.
Never heard of that product before
Interesting but its pricey.
Para 2 – “Duchess of Sussex”. Isn’t she the Duchess of Cambridge? I imagine Kate would be using more than a serum given her profile in the media but I guess only she knows.
Correct, Duchess of Sussex is Meghan
True! Plus, she’s not queen yet!
I haven’t heard of this brand. I’d love to try it but it’s a bit pricey 🙁
Yeah I wouldn’t want to spill it! :/
Would love to try this
I haven’t heard of it, and with that price tag I won’t be rushing out to buy it.
Wow $158 is quite a bit dont you think. But she does look good on it. Although she is still quite yound
I agree she’s still quite young – she’s probably using it as a preventative for some parts of skin aging.
Not heard of it. My face is willing to try it but my Visa says no
haha – well said! 🙂
Ha Ha – My thoughts too -Love to go back to 40 and know what I know now though
I wonder how long it lasts for. $158 sounds expensive but if it lasts a few months then it becomes a bit more reasonably priced.
Sounds very interesting would like to try it one day but I really would like to get real Botox done around my mouth especially. But not surprised that The Duchess of Cambridge Catherine would be trying this product. Biotulin Supreme Skin Gel.
I think it would be worth a shot – it sounds much healthier for the body (than cow poison) and like mentioned in the article, it’s cheaper too. I wonder if they produce samples of it to try?!
Yep, it’s a shame the world puts so much pressure on people in the public eye like Kate to actually even look wrinkle-free! She’s so young.
It sounds good. Ive been considering botox so this is a more affordable option
Well sadly my income is no where near what Kates is so this product would be a no go for me.
Out of my price range and not in the spotlight, so all good.
yes very often the case sadly
Never heard of it. Not sure I would purchase it actually.
Oh wow okay id love to try this product
I see this face quite often nowadays. I thought she was a celeb lol
Not into overpriced serums.
She’s still young and she can afford it.
Well, I’ll take this information with a grain of salt 😉
And as for recommending it to Markle. They’re hardly on speaking terms
Sounds like it’s a bit hit or miss and for the price I would want to be assured that it actually works.
This is expensive but not out of range. Looks interesting.
I think Kates great skin cannot be put down to this one product
Would love to tr this product. How have I not heard of it before!
Haha, I love the fun take on this “…nobody wants the Queen as an enemy”
I suspect my wrinkles are probably beyond the capabilities of this though. Not that I’ll try Botox either, I’m a wimp and will just have to cope with growing old the way nature intended.
She looks like she’s got pretty smooth skin to me.
OK I need to try this now!
This is way out of my budget, but I’ll add it to my Lotto-win wishlist, if that ever happens.
Good luck with winning Lotto. Perhaps you’ll get some in the rewards room or win some. Never Know.
Interesting but I dont think she need it
OhhhFFFFF!!!! A bit pricey for me.
I don’t think I’d purchase this.
Would love to try it, however a little pricey if it doesn’t work. Would love some samples to see what it’s like.
Sounds good but too expensive for me. I’ve just started going to a salon for skin needling and am loving the results already.
Definitely out of my price range, especially if it’s not guaranteed to work.
She is clearly very beautiful but I can’t help but think her skin looks a bit dry. I am not sure whether it’s her makeup.
Never heard of it before.
So did she use Botox but now she doesn’t?
She has such lovely skin!
I think she’s lovely and I agree, her earrings are gorgeous.
Sounds over hyped to me.
Kate is gorgeous and so are the other celebrities that use this product. I know its cheaper than botox but still out of my price range – shame would love to give it a try 🙁
Unfortunately a lot of these products are expensive. Kate doesn’t have to worry about that.
Don’t know if I trust these but so interesting
