When it comes to Kate Hudson, we are frequently posed with the question, are they great genetics or is it magic? And after revealing her can’t-live-without beauty product, it turns out it’s the latter.

Speaking to marie claire, the $24 multi-use moisturiser dubbed ‘Egyptian Magic’ was labelled by Kate as her go-to skin care favourite and the item she “uses for everything”.

According to Egyptian Magic itself, this miracle, all-purpose cream uses the same exact recipe that Cleopatra relied on to stay youthful and glowing. In fact, it’s formulated using only six, all-natural ingredients: olive oil, bee propolis, beeswax, honey, bee pollen and royal jelly.
So, if you’re after a skin care product that’s going to work its magic on your cracked elbows, chapped lips, unruly hair and overall dull and dehydrated complexion, look no further.
And for those who can’t get their hands on this little pot of wonder, (out of stock happens frequently with this favourite) here are some bh recommended alternatives that pack the same hydrating punch for around the same price:
Palmer’s Olive Oil Formula Body Lotion, Weleda Skin Food Light, Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturiser, Sukin Naturals Oil Balancing Mattifying Facial Moisturiser

Have you ever tried Egyptian Magic? What is your favourite moisturiser around the $20 mark?
I have tried a sample sachet and it is amazing. Quite pricey compared to other “all perpose” creams and balms.
I think I’ve heard of this cream but I’ve never tried it
I’ve seen the Egyptian Magic advertised but I’ve never tried it.
I saw in the chemist and thought it seemed rather pricey considering it’s size $30 + for 59 mls and nearly $60 for 118mls. I’m not interested. I’m using the CeraVe lotion and I really like that, it’s great on dry skin.
Have tried it as it was thrown in one of those GWP bags. Love olive oil on my body, but avoid honey.
I have seen this in the chemist but I’ve never tried it.
I’ve seen this before but never tried it.
Long time favourite
i didnt think olive oil was good for skin – ive read some studies recently
For 59mL that price seems to be the norm these days.
I’ve never heard of Egytian Magic but it sounds like something I’d like to try.
This is a staple for me. Very versatile and few ingredients in it.
My youngest daughter used this for ages to help with her eczema and it helped her enormously.
Ill need to try this!
Have never seen this cream before ‘Egyptian Magic’ sounds amazing is this cream sold in Australia? Where would you buy it.
Sounds wonderful and very natural.
Interesting to see
Does work wonders for dry areas like knees or elbows.
I’ve heard a lot of good things about this cream – would be good to have a trial!
I’ve been meaning to try this cream, but haven’t gotten around to it.
I haven’t heard of this before.
I’ve heard of this but never tried it. Judging by the ingredients, wouldn’t it be sticky?
I use plain old sorbolene for a lot of things.
If allergic to bee stings would there be a nasty reaction to this cream too I wonder
looks very nice
Sometimes traditional works better than some of the newer products.
Such a cult classic! I was buying mine from online but now get it from Myer. There are also smaller travel sized pots of 7.5ml you can get to try as well, I just saw them on Beauty Bay for around $8.
Such a good recommendation. It has been a cult fave of mine for years!!
Never heard of this one…
I’ve hear about Egyptian Magic before , but never tried it.
Not heard of this one. I just slaver on olive or almond oil on my body after a shower which works
I have never heard of it before. It sounds good to try.
I haven’t heard of this product. I normally buy drugstore body lotion. There’s many good ones under $20. Nivea and Dove are my favourites
Have heard of it but never tried it.
Not worth it
Have heard about this and keep meaning to try it.
I really want to try it. Anything a celebrity says is good intrigues me to try it.
Sidenote, we’re always talking about Cleopatra’s appearance, but few people talk about what a brilliant leader she was. Fluent in many languages, one of the few pharaohs who was truly involved in the wellbeing of her people, incredibly educated and politically savvy.
I’ve always wanted to try this cream.
I have never heard of this product.
I hadn’t heard of this cream before. It is now on the must try list!
Why can’t I find this anywhere??
How have I not heard of this up until now? Sounds great
Maybe the secret ingredient is “Magic”
I know they stock it on the Nourished life website, but its always out of stock and their shipping takes FOREVER! All my local Pricelines stock it as well – and they always seem to have at least one jar instock
Yeah I love using this product as an eye cream. Only need a little and it moisturises the area really well. I occaisionaly get eczema around my eyes and find this helps clear that up
Oh thankyou for letting me know 🙂
This product seems excellent. I love Palmers butter formula because it’s effective and top value.
I saw this in Chemist Warehouse. I don’t know if it would be good as a facial moisturiser, Does Kate use it on her face?
It sounds great but I can’t help be dubious about it. I think I’ll do some more research. I use Aquaphor as an occlusive and the claims kinda sound similar. I think I’ll stick with my Aquaphor for now.
I had not heard of this so will keep a look out. I do like a cost effective product
