Over the course of her four decade-long career, Julianne Moore has continued to dazzle with her dramatic prowess. Having graced our screens for so many years though, there is one thing we can’t help but wonder about Julianne… how does her skin look so good?
Well, just like us, Julianne is a devoted skin care obsessee. A frequenter of the oxygen facial and radiofrequency (at the hands of celebrity facialist Fabricio Ormonde) her home care routine is surprisingly more affordable and includes a cult favourite drugstore cleanser.
Julianne Moore’s skin care routine
Earlier this year, she shared her skin maintenance tips in a video with Vogue. The top takeaway? She’s a stickler for cleansing and SPF application.
Her go-tos? The Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser ($16.99 at Chemist Warehouse) and the J-beauty favourite Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence ($14.20 at Lila Beauty).
The actress credited her routine SPF application to her mother, saying, “My mother was very fair-skinned and she was concerned about us getting sunburned all the time. She wouldn’t even let us go outside at the beach until after 3 p.m. As soon as there were effective sunscreens, we used those all the time.”
No wonder her skin looks so amazing!
Admittedly, Julianne’s serums are more on the pricey side. “My skincare routine has gotten more and more complicated as I get older,” she explained.
In between cleansing and moisturising she uses a range of targeted products. Using the Biologique Recherche Serume Elastine “where [she] has fine lines”, she cocktails the iS Clinical Pro-Heal Serum Advance+ ($161 at All Saint Clinic), the Environ Vita-Peptide C-Quence Serum 3 ($142 at Concept Skincare) and the Environ Antioxidant Defense Creme ($143 at Concept Skincare) to target free radical damage and collagen production.
A mix of budget and bougie? An enviable skin care routine, to say the least.

Her skin looks amazing!
It should with all the added expensive treatments.
yes, and she can afford them often too which would help even more
Agreed, I would love if I could afford all those treatments.
Yes the treatments are what makes her skin this nice, sadly not the cheapie cleanser and sunscreen
I must say that I quite like The Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser. It is well prices and leaves my skin fresh and nice

I’m with Julianne on the SPF – every day!
I use Cetaphil as a body wash before a date, & it makes my skin FREAKISHLY smooth!
She is ageing really well but she’s always been a natural beauty.
Yes, but did not like too much that cleanser
It irritates my skin
Same, even for a basic cleanser it didn’t sit right with my skin after.
I really enjoyed watching her Vogue Beauty Secrets video. Cetaphil is a great purchase.
I haven’t tried her favourite budget buys yet.
I’ve been promising myself to buy Cetaphil Cleanser since trying their Body Lotion which my skin just loves.
All the treatments wold keep her skin that way
Yes to sunscreen, but I don’t think that cleanser was right for my skin.
Redheads and fairer people have to be sun smart!
Love Cetaphil cleanser
Love Cetaphil.
sometimes simple is best and ths proves it.
Using sunscreen so well for so long must have made a huge difference.
This will be my next cleanser.

Very nice good priced products
I wish I’d worried more about sunscreen when a child.
cetaphil is so gentle
Good to see some affordable skin care products in her routine
Cetaphil is actually an amazing cleanser no doubt
She is ageing gracefully. Love her.
I absolutely agree. I’m teaching my 11 year old that sunscreen is absolutely vital no matter what else she uses or doesnt’.
She has lovely skin.
