Do you want to know what you have in common with Jennifer Aniston? Pimples! Oh, and a shared love for drugstore skin care. Though we are yet to spot a big red blemish on Jen’s glowing face, it turns out she does in fact experience the joys of a breakout just like we do. So, how does the Friends star conceal it so well? Well, having a glam team on speed dial can’t hurt, however, according to a recent interview, there’s one very reliable and surprisingly affordable spot treatment that’s been saving Jen’s skin for quite some time. Ooo do tell.
The lowdown on Jennifer Aniston’s go-to spot treatment…
The man behind Jen’s overnight pimple disappearing act is none other than Mario Bedascu and his Drying Lotion ($26 at MECCA) which has earned itself a cult-following amongst celebrities, beauty editors and of course, our bh members.
Speaking to ELLE, the Friends star detailed her all too relatable pimple-blasting routine, “First I roll my eyes and get annoyed, and usually I will put some sort of a drying lotion on. I don’t pick it, although I used to. Mario Badescu has a great drying lotion that I used for years and years.”
The pink lotion (that might remind you of something you’d put on an insect bite as a child), is packed full of salicylic acid, sulfur and zinc oxide, the dream lineup for drying out whiteheads. For some, this works as a miracle treatment, while for others, the lotion can be a little strong and actually dry out your skin in the process of eliminating your pimples. Sound like you? If so, it might be worth trying Mario’s other spot treatment, the alcohol-free Drying Patches ($25, MECCA).
Formulated with hyaluronic acid and niacinamide, these pimple patches will work to soothe and hydrate.
And while we’re on the topic, as far as zit-zapping treatments are concerned, we can’t go past the Jurlique Purely White Skin Brightening Spot Treatment ($55, Adore Beauty) and Kiehl’s Blue Herbal Spot Treatment ($38, MECCA).
Have you tried Jennifer Aniston’s go-to spot treatment?
Jen is just gorgeous! I often wonder if it really is their go-to?? But I will check it out if I come across it.
Never used this brand before, however it has a good reputation.
Surprised that Jennifer Aniston even gets pimples but it seems like a great product.

These both sound great and not that expensive either
I have tried this before and it does work
I have started noticing tiny pimples on my cheeks and don’t know what is causing them. Will have to look into treating them if they don’t just go away.
Must give that a go for the odd pimple I still get.

That would be good.

I have used this drying lotion before , must say it’s a strong scented lotion but does act swiftly.
I tried this in the past and didn’t do anything for me
I need a spot treatment so rarely (finally over acne! Yay!) that it hardly seems worth buying one these days.
This is a cult product!
I haven’t tried this – I always keep a tube of Clearasil on hand.
I haven’t tried this product, I don’t really need it.
