How-to: work your mug shot

With Amanda Bynes being the latest celeb to rock the orange jumpsuit (albeit just briefly) for her DUI charge, we thought it high time we showcased the best (and worst) celebrity mug shots of all time.

You know who they are, they’ve been named and shamed – the Hollywood heavyweights that have been caught red-handed doing the wrong thing and have had their indiscretions forever immortalised in a photo.

Probably one of the least-flattering shots a celebrity will ever have to pose for, we think Amanda Bynes – with her on-trend pink-tinted locks – pulls off ‘quite a pretty mug shot.’ Considering these police-shots are sans airbrushing and professional styling and all… Well, as far as mug shots go.

Tips for taking an awesome mug shot:

–Ensure you have a powder compact in your pocket (blotchy skin just doesn’t make for a pretty picture, right Mischa?)
–For goodness sake, make sure you’re up to date with getting your roots coloured, or fear looking even guiltier (Heather and Mischa I’m talking to you!)
–Have a bobby pin handy, as a heavy side-swept fringe can make you seem sort of sneaky and a little guilty, eh Nicole?
–Keep your head high and shoulders straight, so you don’t end up looking like a deer caught in headlights, a la Hugh Grant.
–Sport a pretty pink gloss and work the smirk, just like Paris.
–Keep a hairbrush in your bag, obviously. Heather and Mischa – that goes out to you two again!
