Elizabeth Banks Is Using This Drugstore Serum As She Vows To “Step Up” Her Beauty Game

After recently celebrating her 49th birthday, Elizabeth Banks decided she “had to step up [her] beauty game”. Forget the 10-step routines and painful invasive procedures. When it comes to Elizabeth’s regimen, the Hunger Games star told People: “My skin is a reflection of what’s going on with me holistically.” Before comparing her beauty routine as “health care” for her skin.

So, what exactly does a ‘holistic’ beauty routine look like? Well, according to Elizabeth, her skin is a window into what’s going on inside. “You can get away with so much when you’re young, now I just realise that I can’t.”

This means, “a little less drinking, a lot more sleep and a lot more hydration.” All in conjunction with a powerful skin care routine, of course.

Specifically, Elizabeth has been using UK pharmacy cult-favourite No7 (which is stocked in Priceline here in Aus). “They are tiny but pack a big punch,” Elizabeth said, speaking of the Lift & Luminate Triple Action Day Cream ($49.99, Priceline) and Lift & Luminate Triple Action Serum ($54.99, Priceline).

Both products have been formulated to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, firm the skin and fade dark spots and pigmentation. In particular the retinol-infused Triple Action Serum, which despite Elizabeth’s initial hesitation, hasn’t dried out her skin. A win.

“I was thrilled by them,” she said. “No7 made me feel comfortable changing things up.” Aw, we love a happy ending!

Have you ever tried No7? What skin care range makes you feel the most confident?

  1. Oh have been given these to try. My skin hated the day cream the most. HAd to toss away. Serum is bad too, also disposed of it.. Night cream I managed to use up as a body cream, as dislike to throw products away if possible.

  2. I don’t think I’d try this as I like to buy Aussie-made when possible.

The one product that has made the biggest difference to my skin is rosehip oil – I’m always rabbiting on about it.
