The Elizabeth Arden Visible Brightening Night Capsules feature a new and improved formula with more brightening power than ever before.
Each individual capsule is filled with a powerful concentrate that’s been clinically shown to target the size, number and intensity of dark spots. A blend of five potent brighteners work to visibly diminish their appearance while you sleep, for brighter skin with continued use.
Approximately half of our Trial Team had tried capsules before, while the other half were new to the concept. The majority liked how the individual servings meant that the product would remain protected and unexposed to air until use. They also found them easy to use and that each capsule provided a generous amount of product for the face and neck each time.
‘Luxurious’ and ‘silky’ were two words that came up frequently when describing the texture and experience of the product. A lot of the members found the scent pleasant, though it wasn’t to everyone’s taste.
In terms of results, those will dull and uneven skin tone found that their skin appeared much brighter and luminous after a few weeks of using the product. Members with dark spots also reported a difference, saying the product was certainly helping to reduce their appearance.
*Stats are based on a survey of 50 beautyheaven Trial Team members.
The products for this Trial Team have been provided by Elizabeth Arden for the purpose of trial and review. All reviews submitted are the honest, authentic and genuine sentiments of the beautyheaven members participating in this trial.

“It’s the first time I’ve used a capsule serum and it won’t be the last. The capsules are small but contain enough product for my face, neck and chest. After using these for around three weeks I’ve noticed my skin is feeling smoother and looking brighter. My dark patches are a little lighter so I’m excited to see how they’ll look with continued use. Whilst these are quite expensive, they are effective. I’ll probably repurchase them next time there’s a GWP offer.” – Glossqueen
“The serum has a unique feel, one I’ve not experienced with a serum before. It’s smooth and has a somewhat-dense gel-like consistency which then seems almost matte-like when applied. It doesn’t leave a heavy or wet feeling on the skin as it’s so lightweight, and also doesn’t feel greasy or sticky.” – Gdayevelyn
“I have been using these capsules for a month (with still a months supply left) and have definitely noticed a visible difference to my skin in that it has diminished the appearance of sun/age-damage patches on my face. These patches were rough, dry and scaly and I recently trialled another product (not EA) which had softened the skin but these capsules have now lightened these patches to the point that they are barely noticeable! Skin feels smoother and looks more even toned as well as being firmer with reduced pores.” – Kassalee
“The serum seems to be very thick when you apply and it sits on the skin for sometime before it gets absorbed, it feels like a thick layer of soft silicon on your face at first but it does get absorbed slowly. There is no strong smell to it so it is very pleasant on your face, also I have noticed that when I woke up in the morning my face is so much softer and plumpier. I have not seen much of a difference in spot reduction but my face overall is definitely brighter. My face definitely feels and looks brighter compared to before using this product.” – lamdolkar
Have you tried the Elizabeth Arden Visible Brightening Night Capsules?
I am not sure about fiddling around with capsules and part of the cost must be be this option as it must be expensive to produce and also wasteful
I wonder whether the capsules are biodegradable?
I was wondering the same thing Lucy16
They are! They are make out of something like cornstarch (I went to an Elizabeth Arden event once and they explained it) only if you leave then around a wet skin they broke apart on my counter lol.
That’s good! Phew, I like using their retinol capsules and was wondering about the waste.
That’s great to hear!
I would prefer a pump as I find the capsules annoying.
I was on this trial and one aspect I wasn’t really overjoyed about is the capsule delivery.
I got curious and put one of the capsules into water. It started to dissolve immediately. And in a few hours it dissolved completely.
BUT! and a big but here: it dissolved into a very, very shimmery liquid. I am not sure what the silver shimmer is made of but make of this what you will.

No it is not my type of application.
It is expensive and I agree fiddling around with capsules when there are much better products that are easier to use. Not that I would mind giving this a trial.
Curious that someone described the consistency as gel-like. I was on this trial and the consistency is very much like a silicone paste.
They compare with retinol capsules? They also have silicon base, and feel as silicon paste. In any case, curious to check ing, as these are marketed as brightening.
I agree, it was an unusual texture, silicone feel, like a primer but with a bit of grit or piling feel to it, hard to describe actually.
I’m still in the process of trialing as my product arrived really late.
Agree. Nothing gel like about these.
Silicone paste is definitely what it was like.
Want! Very curious about them now haha
You are always the curious 🐈⬛ of the Bh community! 😘
Looking good – I havent tried these ones but I love some of EA’s other capsules – especially the white and bronze ones
I haven’t tried them either but they look nice.
This would have been perfect for me
Great results and reviews. Thanks trial team. The capsules sound like an easy and measured way to apply the serum.
Sounds like some happy beauties got good results
Seems like a nice trial to be on.
Oh nice trial!
What a great trial to get to do!
I have never used a capsule serum before, I’ve always been intrigued by them.
I’ve used some of the other EA serum capsules & they’re very good!
I would love to sample them.
Very good results.
Need to look up ingredients….
This is such a great product. Totally love it
Mmm now I want to try them. Lucky ones who were on the trial. Love the comments of ‘luxurious’ and ‘silky’.
Lol! Same here Sootyhere. I have stubborn hyperpigmentation.
Very luxurious, but the silky was very much high silicone content.
It takes a little while to absorb. I also found that it actually absorbed much better if I followed it with T.O Niacinamide serum.
I was curious about these after reading reviews.
Scent warning!
(I have no idea how some that trialed it said it didn’t have any scent, did they even try the product!)
Linalool and very perfumy.
I only continued with the trial because my T.O Niacinamide serum managed to mask the scent. Also I did not put it on my neck or decolletage. For something that is made to sleep in it is super strong.
These sound lovely to use at night, so many capsules now from EA
What an amazing trial to be on! Lucky ladies
I’m so pleased I was on this trial because my skin is so much brighter and more even. I use different EA capsules but hadn’t previously tried this one.
Congratulations. Great trial to be on. Glad it helped.
Looks like the formula has a nice mix of Vit C derivatives, AHAs, niacinamide, Vit E etc.
What a great trial. Good reviews & results!
Oooh wish I was on this trial! I love their retinol capsules.
This would have been a great trial! Sounds like an excellent product.
I was on this trial and totally love these capsules. Can’t stop raving about the texture of this serum.
I’m still loving these.
Congrats to the ladies on this trial! wowzer!! 😀
I’ve got some EA capsules. Not quite these ones. I should use them. I do agree with others, they should be biodegradable.
These look very nice.
I love the Elizabeth Arden capsules range which I just recently made a purchase for my mother and I.
