The creams challenging laser treatments

If you’re after a way of looking more youthful but don’t want to go under the knife or have a painful procedure, then the latest power products from L’Oreal Paris could be your answer.

The Revitalift Laser X3 range – which comprises a Moisuriser, Serum, and Eye Cream – has been specifically formulated to be comparable to the effectiveness of a fractional CO2 laser.

So what exactly is a fractional CO2 laser? It’s a dermatologic laser that delivers micro-impacts of energy, which essentially heats the skin at dermis level creating microscopic damage. This in turn stimulates the surrounding healthy tissue, kick starting a rapid regeneration process and producing new collagen fibres. Sounds a bit complicated, right? Well luckily the results for your skin are pretty clear-cut: skin density is improved and your complexion looks firmer and more toned; the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles is minimised; dark spots and pigmentation are broken down so that your skin tone looks more even; and your skin itself feels softer and smoother to touch.

The downside is that there is some, erm…downtime with a fractional CO2 laser procedure (although it is said to be a lot less than other laser treatments). The procedure itself can be a bit uncomfortable and you may experience things like red, swollen and flaking skin in the week following. It’s also recommended that you have two to four sessions for best results, so it can become pricey.

Which is exactly where L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Laser X3 steps in to become a great alternative. Not only is the range ultra-affordable and can be used without fear of pain or downtime, but it’s also proven to produce benefits VERY similar to that of fractional CO2 laser – all from the comfort of your own home.

Formulated with a three per cent concentrate of Pro-Xylane – a technologically advanced age fighter that took 14 years in the making – the range helps to benefit your skin across three anti-ageing platforms: wrinkle correction; skin re-densifying; and contour support. And L’Oreal has the results to prove it.

In an independent clinical study* measuring the effectiveness of Revitalift Laser X3 vs. a fractional CO2 laser treatment, 87 per cent of the women using Revitalift Laser X3 showed a transformation on skin quality and reported wrinkle depths decrease by 14 per cent. Now this might not sound like a lot, but it’s a pretty awesome outcome given that those who underwent fractional CO2 laser treatments reported a wrinkle depths decrease of only 17 per cent.

Furthermore L’Oreal also conducted a six-month study on 41 women to evaluate the anti-age effectiveness of using a three per cent concentrate of Pro-Xylane. After six months, the women reported a reduction in crow’s feet wrinkles of 11 per cent; an improvement in skin density of 24 per cent; and an improvement in skin fullness of 18 per cent. So clearly it’s an ingredient that produces results! But it doesn’t stop there, beauties. Fragmented hyaluronic acid (a form in which its ‘broken down’ for better skin penetration) and LHA (another special L’Oreal active ingredient) are also key ingredients in the formulation and work together with Pro-Xylane for maximum anti-ageing benefits.

So if you feel the time has come to take some serious steps to minimise the appearance of ageing but you don’t want to have a potentially painful, time consuming or expensive procedure, then the L’Oreal Revitalift X3 range is something you should definitely try.

Our Trial Team recently put the L’Oreal Paris Revitalift X3 range to the test. Find out what they thought of the L’Oreal Paris Revitalift X3 Moisturiser

* An independent clinical study with 50 women aged 45 to 55 showing similar signs of ageing around the eyes (crow’s feet).  One group underwent a fractional CO2 laser session for crow’s feet performed by a laser dermatologist.  The second group applied Revitalift Laser X3 for 2 months, morning and evening on the entire face.

Have you tried any of these products? Have you had a laser treatment before? Would you consider trying the Revitalift Laser X3 range before having a professional anti-ageing procedure?
