Delta Goodrem was just 18 when diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, shortly after releasing her first album, “Innocent Eyes”. Delta paused her soaring career and underwent months of chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
What many don’t realise, is aside from the physical and mental toll the treatment took on her body, it also deeply affected her skin… which is why her latest partnership with La Roche-Posay is so poignant.
Delta Goodrem Fight with Care
As someone that knows the struggles associated with undergoing treatment for cancer, Delta has passionately supported many charities that focus on helping cancer patients and survivors.
The latest partnership comes in association with La Roche-Posay, for the Fight With Care initiative.
La Roche-Posay has been hard at work behind the scenes collecting information on the impacts on the skin through cancer treatment, with many of those undergoing the treatments finding severe dermatological side effects, even having to slow down and even pause their life-saving treatment because their skin has gotten so painful.
La Roche-Posay hopes that through this initiative, they’re able to help patients have a better quality of life. In fact, the brand have specifically created the Thermal Centre in France, which gives post-chemo patients opportunity for rejuvenating treatments. Delta found the experience to “touch [her] heart”.
In a pioneering collaboration, La Roche-Posay and the Princess Alexandra Research Foundation have joined forces to create the first onco-dermatology clinic. The specialist clinic gives oncology patients who are “experiencing skin impacts to have direct access to specialised dermatological care through the hospital” and changes the experience completely for them.
With a “commitment to raising awareness of the solutions that can provide essential relief”, La Roche-Posay are making it their “mission to increase knowledge about the solutions available amongst professionals, patients, and their loved ones”.

We might know it as a seriously multi-functional moisturiser, but for those undergoing treatment, its ultra-rich nourishing formula is helping to keep their skin hydrated and taken care of in the harshest of environments. Supporting La Roche-Posay and their incredible range helps to ensure they’re able to keep on looking after those in need.

Do you use La Roche-Posay? Have you followed Delta Goodrem’s journey?
Didn’t know about this!
I’ve never followed her career, but I totally agree that La Roche Posay would be really beneficial for someone who has undergone chemo.
I do remember that she had cancer but it was a long time ago.
This is one of the more worthwhile causes out there. Good on her and the company.
