Courteney Cox has been pretty candid about the fact that she’s had a cosmetic procedure or two in her life. The Friends star has admitted that she felt pressured to maintain a youthful appearance as an actress in Hollywood.
For years she was the subject of plastic surgery rumours, but according to Courteney she went “crazy” after falling victim to excessive filler injections.
“My biggest beauty regret is fillers. There’s so much pressure to stay looking young in this industry that once you start, it becomes a bit of a domino effect and you keep on having more,” she told Woman magazine.
“To the rest of the world your face is so obviously changing, but to yourself – because you’re only having one procedure at a time – you don’t notice,” she continued.
“It was a total waste of time and I wish I hadn’t caved into the pressure of having it,” she admitted. “Because people would talk about me, I think. But there was a period where I went, “I’ve got to stop. That’s just crazy.”‘
The 59-year-old had her fillers dissolved in 2017, but she admitted she hasn’t sworn off a beauty regimen completely because she is still critical of the way she looks.
“The scrutiny [from others] is intense, but I don’t know if it could be more intense than what I put on myself,” she revealed. “I’m a product whore. I will try anything.”

Have you ever gone overboard with a beauty treatment?
She is so lovely but says she is critical about how she looks.
She lives in a world where looks play a big part of their success.
Good on her, we don’t all have to continuously strive to look younger, fighting a losing battle really.
I’ve never had fillers, but I did overpluck in the 90s. Mum warned me not to because she’d made the same mistake in the 70s – why didn’t I listen to her?
HaHa !! who listens to their Mum’s as a young teenager XX
No fillers or procedures for me, thank you.
Courtney has to b admired as she is being so honest.
It’s good she realised it was too much, and totally agree with her.
She is a beautiful woman but lives in a hard industry.
I think she is nice
Fillers tend to disfigure natural beauty. I am not a fan
No, neither me!
Good on her for speaking out.
I’ve never had botox, fillers or any other cosmetic treatment. Maybe in the future…
Not me. I’ve had Botox procedures twice. Loved the results but hate the $$$ upkeep.
Thank goodness she has stopped having them. Also RIP Matthew Perry 😢
Yeah, I think it could be a slippery slope, just one procedure or one more injection.
Waste of time and money. It has never appealed to me.
Nothing overboard with facial treatments and thank goodness I didn’t over pluck my eyebrows
I’ve never had any fillers or procedures done.
She is my favourite friend
Good on her for recognizing she’d gone too far with the fillers and putting an end to it
Everyone is critical of their looks at some stage. It’s good when we get to the stage we can accept ourselves as we are
It seems the world has gone insane for perfection – and it really doesn’t exist here on earth except if you are a cat of course! ; )
I don’t think i will ever do cosmetic treatments.
Ive seen so many sad mistakes with these procedures, I just wouldnt be game to try them.
I would be very careful before I had something like this done.
someone should of stopped her , at least she stopped, looks great now
I think most people look better without fillers.
Yeah i would never get fillers, only maybe botox max
It must be terrible to feel under pressure to stay young looking all the time.
I’m so glad she stopped doing that cat-look cosmetic surgery/aka fillers
They live in a glamorous world but with harsh critics.
Yes so true
I think taking care of yourself the best way you can and letting yourself age gracefully is the most beautiful way to age. I’d rather have a few lines than look like a balloon!
Agree, sometimes these things turn out worse and you dont look any better or maybe even worse?
Good on her for speaking up
I love products too
I think that she looks good for her age.
Yeah, there was definitely a period when she didn’t look quite right.
Yeah, I don’t think I would worry with fillers, they don’t look good
Never have, never will have fillers
