Ten females aged 25 to 55 with a normal to dry skin type, who were interested in trying organic, natural beauty products.The triallers were required to use the products once or twice a day, after cleansing. They were instructed to massage Oil Garden Clarifying Facial Scrub gently onto the face and neck in circular motions, then rinse well with warm water, before massaging Oil Garden Nourishing Facial Moisturiser gently onto the face and neck area.

Oil Garden Clarifying Facial Scrub is a COSMOS certified organic, Australian-made, vegan and cruelty-free skin care product. It contains agra shell, a natural exfoliant that helps to polish away dead skin cells and reveal a smoother, more radiant complexion. The formula also features a base of organic aloe vera, argan oil and papaya extract, and is enriched with the pure essential oils of bergamot and geranium.
Oil Garden Nourishing Facial Moisturiser is also COSMOS certified organic, Australian-made, vegan and cruelty-free. Suitable for daily use, it has a lightweight formula that promotes skin elasticity and a healthy, glowing complexion. It features a base of organic aloe vera, rosehip oil and macadamia oil, and is enriched with the pure essential oils of bergamot and geranium.
Both Oil Garden Clarifying Facial Scrub and Oil Garden Nourishing Facial Moisturiser are free from sulphates, mineral oils, silicones, petrochemicals, synthetic fragrances, TEAs and parabens.
The triallers enjoyed the bergamot and geranium scent of the scrub, describing it as calming, relaxing and soothing. Most found the agra shell ingredient exfoliated effectively, without being too harsh or abrasive. They agreed the formula left their skin feeling smooth, soft and hydrated, with one reviewer noting that after three weeks of use, she saw an overall improvement in her skin’s tone and condition.
The triallers found the moisturiser lightweight and fast absorbing, yet very hydrating. As with the scrub, they enjoyed the bergamot and geranium scent, and noted it wasn’t overpowering. Some of the members liked to apply sunscreen over the top of the moisturiser, as it doesn’t contain SPF.
While the majority of triallers enjoyed using the moisturiser twice a day, some noted they preferred to use the scrub just once a day for best results.
