With Black Friday sales just around the corner, now is a great time to get your beauty wishlist ready to go.

As it’s now one of the biggest sales events of the year, the Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend can be a bit overwhelming without one.

You can, of course, avoid it altogether, but there’s nothing worse than hearing about the amazing discount your bestie nabbed a Dyson Airwrap or your favourite summer fragrance while you were unawares.

So to make sure you don’t miss out (and escape unscathed by the Internet), we’re here to help you navigate the deals with some insider info on the Black Friday and Cyber Monday beauty sales for 2024. So step right this way for stress-free shopping…

What is Black Friday and Cyber Monday?

Put simply, it’s one epic long weekend of sales and discounts. It’s the Friday after Thanksgiving in America, where it started, and we’ve since adopted it here in Australia.

There are plenty of deals online and in-store across makeup, skincare, hair, fashion, homewares, tech and just about everything else. In previous years, we’ve seen Black Friday makeup and beauty brands drop their prices by as much as 80 per cent! So while many of us may not like the ‘rush to buy’, if you’re prepared, it can be a gold mine for good deals.

When is Black Friday in Australia?

The official date for Black Friday is the 29th November, 2024. However, it’s worth noting some brands start early to beat the rush. Some even make it a week-long event, starting early and extending their deals until Cyber Monday on Monday the 2nd of December.

Tips to make the most of Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals

While there can be a lot of makeup sales and discounts at this time of year, a lot of big retailers and brands go all-in on the Black Friday sales weekend. So here are 3 tips to help you get the bargains you want:

  1. Check your beauty supplies: If you need to re-stock some makeup essentials or get new tools, Black Friday is a great time to update what you have at home.
  2. Do your research: Deals can get snapped up quickly during these sales, so if there’s a product you’ve been waiting to try, or something you want to add to your beauty arsenal, checking out reviews and finding specific items will help you focus in on the best Black Friday deals.
  3. Add to cart early: Know exactly what you want? Add it early to avoid it selling out when the Black Friday sales start.

  1. My inbox is chock full of messages letting me know about the Black Friday sales. I certainly don’t need any more beauty products but I picked up a few Christmas gifts during the week.

  2. I’ve been out shopping today! I’ve had a wonderful time! I got some absolute bargains. I got an awesome new handbag at Mimco, some lovely tops at Suzanne Grae, plus a few other things……

  3. I bought some things from David Jones and might buy a few things from Priceline and Chemist Warehouse.
I usually buy Birthday presents for next year at this time of year. Not very organised this year though.

  4. I got today some socks and undies from Boody (these are exxy so sales are a must!) 30% off then on top 10% off cashback. Didn’t have time to shop for new clothing, but other stores have sales more often and good ones.

  5. This was fantastic – I bought extra christmas gifts, clothes and new dog leash, harness and bowl for my husky baby. (though she’s far from a baby now but she’s more my baby than ever!) Thanks bh for these links – I used them and even got myself some treats.

  6. Love Adore Beauty, but they up their prices according to promotions, bought a L’occitane advent gift pack for $59 and a couple of days later saw it on their website for $85!!

  7. Interesting mix to which you can add green Friday as well – some of the sales this year have been terrific. Boody, which I love, has been 50% off on everything and yes, I’ve indulged.

  8. I wasn’t going to but caved with Circa, Adore, Chemist Warehouse and Priceline. I will be glad when it has finished though as my email box has been full of them all for ages. I get about 66 mails a day.
