6 Of The Best Supermarket And Pharmacy Eye Creams

Eye creams hit a serious fork in the road when it comes to formulations. Down one path, you have the types that will cost you a fortune and deliver, well, not much (AKA expensive moisturisers in tiny pots), however, the same cannot be said for all formulations. In fact, when it comes to eye creams the rule of ‘you get what you pay for’ isn’t always the case.

Some of the most effective and potent little formulas are actually sitting on the shelves of our supermarkets and chemists. So for a bit of luxe-for-less, these are our top picks for eye creams available in your local Priceline, Woolies or Chemist Warehouse.

  1. Between my Mum and I, we’ve tried a few different CeraVe products, and we’ve been really happy with all of them, so I reckon I’d be willing to give the CeraVe one a try.

  2. Was not big on eye creams (only using if I was given one to use up or try) as I use skincare I use on face (serums, acid toners etc) over the eye area too. Then I was given L'Oréal Revitalift Filler [+Hylaluronic Acid] Intensive Replumping Eye Cream a bit long ago. And…was so surprised how good it is. Rehydrates, plumps and smooths the area. Good stuff. Really good.

  3. Would really like to try La Roche-Posay Pigmentclar Eyes because I have dark circles under my eyes at the moment I am using DR. LEWINN'S Ultra R4 Eye Repair Cream at the moment.

  4. My favourite eye cream at the moment is an Eve Lom eye cream, but it’s $99! Any eye cream over $20 better be pretty amazing (and that one is) because there are some great options for a lot less. I’ve tried the Garnier one and that’s pretty good and I think you can never go wrong with La Roche Posay.

  5. I don't use eye creams a lot which is stupid because I actually own quite a few, as well as many sample sachets. I need to make it part of my routine so I don't actually think about it.

  6. I like the sound of Garnier's one. I'm interested in keeping the eye area moisturized. I'm using a Sukin one at the moment. I don't like using a rollerball one as I think it pulls at the delicate skin near the eyes

  7. I haven't found an eye cream that does anything noticeable for my wrinkly and crinkly eye area, but I'm in my late fifties. I've had the NIOD Fractionated Eye-contour Concentrate on my wish list for a while, but I'm hesitating because it's expensive and it has mixed reviews.

  8. I really like the Lacura one from Aldi. I purchased it after it was mentioned on bh and it's great. I'm currently using the Olay one but plan to buy the Lacura one again.
