If your skin is struggling with the concern combo of both dehyration and congestion, treating one without triggering the other can be tricky.
But there’s a specific style of formula that’s up to the challenge: gel moisturisers. A watery, bouncy and featherlight category of the hydrating gang, gels are able to deliver massive amounts of moisture without the fatty ingredients responsible for the creamy nature of heavier formulas.
The water-based status doesn’t make them any less effective either; it’s simply a different strategy – the light-as-air formulas absorb almost instantly, and offer nourishing moisture that won’t clog your pores or leave residue sitting on skin.
Into the idea? Here are the best gel moisturisers for non-greasy hydration.
I haven't tried any of these, my favourite Gel moisturiser is Clinique Dramatically Different Gel. In my tweens, this was the only moisturiser I used as it didn't cause any breakouts
Omg, this list, I couldn't made it better myself. Bioderma, The Body Shop, Jurlique and Natio are just incredible. Add in Kiehl's, Glow Recipe, Drunk Elephant and Clinique then this list is complete.
Finishing my Neutrogena, really keen on Jurlique Rare Rose, but ain't sure if it's worth that investment. Natio Rosewater sounds like a good option. Heard lotsa good things about Syrene. The Body Shop Vitamin E is one that I've been wanting to try too. Someone help me? Lol
I have tried the Nuetrogena hydro boost cream and it is great for a non greasy base, not only that it also leaves your skin feeling fresh and hydrated.
I have been wanting to try a gel moisturiser for ages as creams are usually too heavy for me. I would love to try the Jurlique but I think I'll be more likely trying the Natio.
I am obsessed with the Antipodes Culture Probiotic Water Cream. It's marketed as a night cream but I use it both day and night. If you are a fan of rosewater you will love this gel/water hybrid cream. Main con is the packaging… it comes in a glass jar with screw lid so you have to stick your fingers in the product. Would much prefer a squeeze tube or pump bottle.
Keen to try out the Natio Rosewater Hydration Gel Cream as it comes in a tube and is much more affordable. X
I don’t mind the Neutrogena Hydro range. It’s very moisturising and it’s well priced. And even better, for anyone who may be interested, Priceline have got it on sale at the moment for HALF PRICE! Yippee! Bargain!
Would like to try some of these.
Would love to try the Estee Lauder Gel Creme from this great selection.
Great list! The Byredo one looks so luxurious!
I need to try the Bioderma one.

Great list of products! Would love to give some of these a go.
Bioderma has some awesome products. Especially their makeup remover!!
Would love to try the neutrogena as its probably the cheapest one on the list
I love Jurlique. Can't afford it all the time though.
I love gel creams. Clinique moisture surge has been my go-to for years.
I wonder if anyone has tried the new antipodes hydrating gel

I've n ever tried a gel moisturiser. I might need to sample one or two.
I've been using Neutrogena, my skin loves it!
Haven't tried any of these, but currently using the Kiehl's one which is really good.
OMG, I love Paula's Choice this is perfect for redness and dryness without being too oily.
There's some great choices in this article. Ones I like.

I may have tried a sample or two of a gel moisturiser but I can't remember. I have dry and older skin so they're probably not for me anyway.
Neutrogena has been great on my skin, leaving it soft and smooth without a residue, love it

Not really a fan of greasy creams. Thank you BH for the recommendation.
